The front desk service was excellent; the staff, all dressed in suits and white shirts, were incredibly polite. Even the cleaning staff would politely greet you, which made for a very comfortable experience. The breakfast was also very generous. Laundry and drying facilities were always available without any wait, which was a nice touch. The building itself is grand, with high floors offering great views, especially pleasant at night. The soundproofing is excellent too; the heavy doors and soundproof strips mean you can't hear any noise from next door. They also provide a complimentary large fruit platter, a free minibar, and many free beverages. I particularly liked that the bed area, a more private space, isn't visible immediately upon entering the room – a very well-thought-out design. 👍👍👍 Hygiene: The cleanliness was exceptional. I checked several nooks and crannies, and there was no dust, which was very impressive. Environment: The environment was also fantastic. The hallways felt private and quiet. The high floor offered expansive views and good natural light, which was a big plus. Facilities: The lobby manager mentioned that the hotel was only renovated this year, and staying in a new hotel and new rooms was very comfortable. The overall quality is definitely top-notch. 👍👍👍

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

The facilities are a bit old, but generally well-maintained. I stayed on the 26th floor and the room had a damp smell, which wasn't great. The windows felt like they weren't there at all; they provided no soundproofing. The showerhead was leaking and needs to be replaced. The elevators in the public areas felt like they had no AC, were very hot at noon, and were slow. Hygienics: Meets Hyatt standards. Environment: Meets Hyatt standards. Service: So-so. After 10 PM, there was no answer when calling room service. Location: Good, quiet yet central. There are many shopping areas nearby, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. Other: The executive lounge's food was average with no live cooking stations. The pool has a hot tub and dry sauna, but the water quality was mediocre. Overall, everything is quite old.

We had a wonderful stay at Hilton Chongqing. The breakfast spread was great to start the day. But the real highlight was China Moon, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant. We ended up having all our dinners there during the stay, the food was simply amazing. Every dish was flavorful, well-prepared and consistently impressive. It’s rare to find a hotel restaurant you want to return to night after night but China Moon made it easy.

Facilities: You can tell it's a bit old; the cabinet creaks and doesn't close properly, but other than that, it's okay. However, the soundproofing is a bit poor. I was woken up by snoring from the next room at 4 AM, which was a bit annoying 🙄. Hygiene: Very good. For such a large hotel, this is definitely up to par. Environment: Convenient location. Service: The attitude was good, but the complimentary souvenir was indeed quite stingy—a small packet of Qiaotou hotpot seasoning… It's not as good as the souvenirs at All Seasons or Atour. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw it. The welcome fruit was one banana, one pear, and one apple.

Staying at Cliff Hotel was the most delightful surprise of my trip to Chongqing! Perched on a hillside, its minimalist white design and geometric lines, especially at night against the illuminated river, make it look like a 'spaceship' docked atop Yuzhong, giving off a super futuristic vibe. Every photo taken here turns out stunning. The room experience was absolutely fantastic! The massive 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the majestic Yangtze River and the dazzling city lights. You can lie in bed and soak in the breathtaking nightscape – it's incredibly therapeutic. The infinity pool on the rooftop was the absolute highlight. The water seamlessly blends with the skyline, and swimming while overlooking the river feels like being in the clouds. It's definitely a must-visit spot for a vacation photoshoot. Furthermore, the hotel's service was impeccable. The butler was warm and attentive, even offering complimentary fruit. Located in Qixinggang, it's a tranquil oasis yet conveniently close to major attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong, making getting around super easy. Whether for a romantic getaway or a family trip, this hidden gem of a hotel is not to be missed. Highly recommended!

The hotel's environmental hygiene is very good, and it is very superior. I happened to come and stay here recently when it was sunny in Chongqing. Except for the hot weather during the day, everything was perfect. The scenery set up in the hotel lobby can be seen from the Lippo Center, and you can also see the confluence of the two rivers. The scenery during the day and at night is particularly unique, it is a wind that can not be seen in other cities. During my stay, the housekeeper jingjing patiently served us. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Ryan for his outstanding hospitality. He was warm, professional, and very 稳重—calm, composed, and dependable—which immediately made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. He thoughtfully arranged for our room to be next to our children's room and even upgraded our room to make it possible. We truly appreciated his kindness and attention to detail. What touched me even more was that after I casually mentioned it was my birthday on the day we arrived, he thoughtfully arranged a birthday cake for me. It was such a heartfelt surprise and made my birthday even more special. It was a small gesture that reflected the genuine care and exceptional service he provides. We were so comfortable during our stay that we preferred spending more time at the hotel rather than going out. Because we enjoyed our stay so much, we decided to add the breakfast package, and Mr. Ryan kindly offered us the package rate for two, which came as a wonderful surprise. This hotel has a standard of service that truly stands out. The warmth, professionalism, and genuine care shown by the staff made our family trip even more memorable. We will definitely stay here again whenever we visit Chongqing. Thank you, Mr. Ryan, for making our stay such a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.  Everyone was so nice and kind.  The service was top- notch.  The amenities were plenty and easy accessible.   A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet.  The view was so beautiful and calming as well.   Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.     I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see.   When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see.   It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions.  I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing,  SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views.  Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions.  Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.    If ever I have the opportunity to come back to the city, I will very excited to repeat this experience.

Its central location in Jiefangbei means we can walk to Hongyadong and Raffles City, saving us from long treks with the little one. I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel for my trip to Chongqing. Some hotels had high ratings but were actually quite bad. In the end, I chose the Metropolitan Hotel, and it truly didn't disappoint. The location is excellent. Turn right out of the hotel and walk a few steps, and you're at Jiefangbei. Daijia Alley and Hongyadong are also within walking distance. About 200 meters away is Bayi Food Street, which has an abundance of snacks, restaurants, and local specialties, making it incredibly convenient. At the same time, it's not actually *on* Food Street, so you avoid the noise. Many hotels in Chongqing share a main entrance, with different hotels occupying different floors accessible by the same elevator, which can be chaotic. Waiting in line for the elevator wastes a lot of time. The Metropolitan Hotel, however, stands independently and quietly, which is rare and fantastic for a hotel in a tourist area! The hotel's service was also very thoughtful, leaving me with a wonderful impression of Chongqing's local culture as soon as I arrived. Although the hotel faces the street, the room was very quiet. Breakfast was also plentiful. However, I have one small suggestion: the hairdryer is a bit old-fashioned; it would be even better if it could be replaced with a newer model. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

It’s only a 2 minute walk to Chongqing Guotai Arts Center, walk along the walkway bridge and you’re at the top of hongyadong, you will also find yourself right beside the popular Jiefangbei pedestrian street. I missed the opportunity to see viewing platform at this hotel at night, but managed to take a pictures of it in the morning. I must say the view is amazing and would more spectacular at night. The room I stayed in was big and spacious with a humongous bed. They had all the amenities that I needed for the one night stay. The room was clean. For the price you pay the breakfast was good and had cereal, hot dishes, staple foods, vegetables etc. The elevators are bit slow, but it’s a shared elevator with other businesses so it is what it is. I will definitely come back to this hotel because it’s so convenient, friendly service with a chilled relaxing atmosphere in the lobby on the 15th floor.

Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days. Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms. Room attendant provided great service she could and made me feel comfortable and welcome. All failures are belonging the management related to budget control.
