I've stayed at this hotel a few times now. I originally booked a great deal on ** but it seems it was too good to be true because they quietly canceled my reservation without sending me an SMS or system notification. I only found out I didn't have a booking when I arrived at the hotel to check in at midnight (this is the second time this has happened). Luckily, there was one last room available on Ctrip, and I immediately snatched it up, otherwise, I would have had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. This hotel is clean, hygienic, and odor-free, and the breakfast is pretty good too (too bad Ctrip doesn't offer it for free or allow points redemption).

This hotel was the best one we stayed at during our trip back to China. Angelina at the front desk was absolutely amazing! 👍👍 She was so attentive and patiently answered all our questions. She even upgraded our room when we asked. The hotel food was also super good, and the facilities were complete, clean, and beautiful. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Even the staff outside the lobby were incredibly warm and funny. My husband, who was visiting Chongqing for the first time, absolutely loved this hotel. Plus, its location near Jiefangbei is fantastic. We'll definitely come back here on our next trip to China. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

Stepping into the Grand Hyatt Chongqing again felt like time folding back into a familiar embrace. The warm glow of the lobby was like the gaze of an old friend, gently welcoming my travel-weary self. Ryan at the front desk smiled as warmly as ever, Tiffany's greeting was still as gentle, and Bella's eyes held that knowing spark – they are my compass in this city, a direction I can find without a map. Goldberg at the Club Lounge had already prepared a delightful surprise. Birthday balloons floated gently, like clouds in a dream. The guest room door slowly opened to warm yellow light, a neatly arranged birthday cake, and a handwritten card – every detail whispered: 'Welcome home.' I didn't need candles on a cake because the warmth and thoughtfulness from these people were light enough. Thank you for weaving an ordinary birthday into a shining chapter of memories with your professionalism and kindness. Grand Hyatt Chongqing isn't just a hotel; it's my second home in this city. And I've never really left.

We had a wonderful stay at Hilton Chongqing. The breakfast spread was great to start the day. But the real highlight was China Moon, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant. We ended up having all our dinners there during the stay, the food was simply amazing. Every dish was flavorful, well-prepared and consistently impressive. It’s rare to find a hotel restaurant you want to return to night after night but China Moon made it easy.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. It's about a 30-minute drive from the airport, making it very convenient for travel. The hotel itself is grand and opulent, with a particularly impressive lobby. I was upgraded to a newly renovated room, which was fully equipped with modern facilities. The view from the room was delightful, with panoramic river views. Lastly, I'd like to commend the hotel's front desk service – the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

Blown away by the room's river view! The entire place was spotless, no weird smells or hidden grimy spots. The resort grounds were quiet and well-maintained. The swimming pool facilities were excellent, and the water was clean and refreshing – a really great experience. All the in-room amenities worked perfectly, and sitting by the window in the evening, enjoying the river breeze and sunset, was incredibly therapeutic. It was also easy to find good food nearby. This hotel is located right across from Bayi Square and is also close to the subway. Stepping out, you're on Bayi Road Food Street, where you can find all sorts of local specialty snacks. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. Across the street from the hotel, you get a great mountain view, and you can even spot the Golden Eagle. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves food and exploring!

Overall, the hotel is decent, but there's room for improvement in the details. Upon arrival, someone opened the car door and helped with luggage, which was great. Check-in was also very quick. However, the room had a few issues. First, the hairdryer was a bit faulty; it was plugged in but wouldn't work. I had to call someone to replace it. Second, the water pressure in the shower was too low; it could definitely be stronger. The hotel breakfast also had some problems. When I went for breakfast, someone seated me, and then a staff member asked if I wanted a drink. I requested an iced latte, and she said 'okay.' However, after more than twenty minutes, no latte arrived. Eventually, I went to the coffee machine myself and asked a staff member to make one for me. Also, I think the breakfast tables could have fewer unnecessary decorations and a better arrangement. There was an upright book on the table, and only after I picked it up did I realize there was a small potted plant behind it. I wondered if the plant might get knocked over if someone wasn't careful when grabbing the book… On the other hand, the butler service was quite good. Butler Yannie was very responsive to all requests, answered quickly, and was basically online all day. She even replied to my messages past 1 AM! Most importantly, her replies were timely and enthusiastic. I also want to thank her for sending a complimentary bottle of red wine, even though I forgot to drink it, haha… When I discussed extending my stay on the second night, she thoughtfully explained the process and answered all my questions, which I really appreciate 👍. The hotel room view was quite good, and the decor was also decent. The hotel's public areas are especially beautiful and perfect for photos. A special thanks to the front desk for upgrading me! I ended up in a river-view room, and the scenery outside the window was excellent.

This is my second visit to Chongqing, and I chose the InterContinental Raffles City again, mainly because I craved this view. My room was on the 50th floor, and as soon as the automatic blinds opened, the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers converged beneath my feet, with Hongyadong and Qiansimen Bridge framed perfectly! This image will stay with me for a long time! I also recommend a dip in the heated infinity pool on the 43rd floor, which overlooks the Yangtze River; swimming with the skyline view truly feels like floating. **Location & View:** Raffles City Tower 4N, with that 'cloud-top' feeling from floors 44-65. The Sky Lobby on the 42nd floor is a tourist attraction in itself, with greenery and a curved front desk mirroring the river, and the skybridge offers 360° views of the mountain city. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the river-view rooms directly face the confluence of the two rivers. You can watch boats during the day, and at night, see Hongyadong lit up and the traffic flowing across Qiansimen Bridge. Taking a bath in the tub facing the window makes this Chongqing trip half worth it already. **Service:** This needs a separate mention. Two afternoons before check-in, I received a call from the concierge department, asking about my check-in requirements and details. They asked if I was driving and if I needed a video of the underground parking route (they actually sent a super detailed one later!). If you're traveling with children, they even proactively asked if we needed kids' slippers and toiletries. The Executive Lounge's Happy Hour offers enough to eat, and the Chongqing noodles at breakfast are freshly made to order. Downstairs, you have Chaotianmen Metro Station and Hongyadong within walking distance, which is very convenient for those who prefer not to walk far. This is a landmark hotel in Chongqing, definitely worth it for both the view and the service. I highly recommend Shua Bar! Their seasonal cocktails are super delicious and unique! And, to top it off, they even gave me a small souvenir gift when I checked out! I plan to stay at InterContinental again on my next trip to Chongqing.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.  Everyone was so nice and kind.  The service was top- notch.  The amenities were plenty and easy accessible.   A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet.  The view was so beautiful and calming as well.   Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.     I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see.   When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see.   It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions.  I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing,  SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views.  Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions.  Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.    If ever I have the opportunity to come back to the city, I will very excited to repeat this experience.

True to its reputation as a seasoned five-star hotel, its location is superb. Getting anywhere by taxi is a breeze. The front desk, concierge, and room service staff were all incredibly polite and attentive. We also got to try the complimentary German beer. The room itself was spacious, equipped with a fridge, and our high-floor room offered great views. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring made-to-order noodles and vermicelli. The only minor setback was that the air conditioning unit broke down on the day of our arrival, making the room extremely hot. Even after switching rooms, the issue persisted. The staff kindly brought us iced watermelon and a fan. We hope this kind of 'hard flaw' doesn't happen on our next visit, especially since Chongqing summers can be quite sweltering.

We came to Chongqing during the hottest weather, driven by curiosity and using my child's travel as the perfect excuse. I booked this hotel, which is considered the best for families wanting to visit Raffles City. Our room directly faced Raffles City, allowing us to see people commuting in the mornings and evenings. Outside the hotel, there's a small night market with various graffiti on the walls, making for great photo opportunities. The room facilities were perfectly adequate for us; the size was just right, and our stay was very comfortable. The hotel room was clean and well stocked. The check in and check out process was smooth and easy; staff member 3 helped us both times and we could communate with her easily. We also received informative brochure with key sights nearby which was helpful. The breakfast had limited Western cuisine, so this might be an issue for visitors who don't like Chinese style breakfast. The breakfast was quick and tasty although we would have liked a few more options. Really loved the view from our hotel room on L14 as well as from the L15 in the allocated rooftop view which was lovely. The hotel location was convenient and easy to get to various key locations - although recommend travelling across the river to Grand Theater subway for a view of Hongya Cave and then walk back via the bridge crossing and bypass the view from directly in front at street level (too many people!). I just checked out today, so I wanted to share my honest experience. First off, the hotel is right next to the Jiefangbei CBD in the city center. The sign is very prominent and easy to find. 👍 Second, I booked a room with a four-piece bedding set, and the staff at the front desk were incredibly warm and even gave me a disposable set, which made me feel very comfortable and safe during my stay. [Rose] Room: The overall style of the room has a slight light luxury retro vibe, very characteristic of Chongqing. The lighting in the room is a warm yellow, not at all harsh. The bedding was clean and tidy. 🚽 This hotel also has a wet/dry separation design, with the washroom, shower, and toilet all separate. 🌟 What's quite special about this hotel is that the guest room floors are carpeted. Personally, I found it very quiet and had a great night's sleep. The hotel's facilities are also quite comprehensive, with a laundry room that includes a dryer and an ironing machine, and a 24-hour gym. For just over a hundred yuan, it feels like incredible value for money. I look forward to staying here again next time I visit Chongqing!!!

The location is good, but the air conditioning fan was so loud I couldn't sleep. Or, if I used the 'energy-saving mode' as staff suggested, it was unbearably hot. What's ridiculous is that in the morning, the hallways and restaurant were blasting cold air that felt like 28°C (82°F). The front desk staff were polite, but the issues were never resolved. Ordering takeout was convenient, but there were no robots or staff to deliver it to the room. It's definitely not worth the price. When checking out, they showed no interest in my experience and didn't even ask for feedback. To our surprise, they actually did it! Super impressed! The hotel is very close to Guanyin Bridge, and the metro station is also conveniently located. The street food BBQ across the street tasted better than the folk bar we went to later that night. There's also a Fenghua Hotpot behind the hotel that Wang Hedi visited, which is absolutely delicious and super popular – if you go too late, you'll have to queue.

The room was spacious and bright, and the location was convenient – not far to walk to Guanyin Bridge. The service was great, it was clean and tidy, and well-equipped. They even upgraded my room and included breakfast, which was awesome! I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Spur-of-the-moment weekend trip, booked this hotel quickly online, and I was genuinely impressed! It's practically the most crucial spot right by the river. Located on the 11th floor of Hongyadong, right at the main entrance, the advantages of this couldn't be clearer. Imagine catching the Hongyadong night view just before 11:00 PM, then simply taking the elevator straight back to your hotel – it's incredibly convenient! From here, you can walk to Jiefangbei, Daijia Alley, and Chaotianmen; all the attractions are right around you, making it super convenient. There are even Qipao shops nearby where you can get your makeup and styling done. My room this time only had a partial river view, but that didn't bother me at all because the 15th-floor observation deck offers stunning river views everywhere you look. Most importantly, it was quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep so you can have an even better day of sightseeing. Perfect!

Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days. Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms. Room attendant provided great service she could and made me feel comfortable and welcome. All failures are belonging the management related to budget control.
