Our six-day, five-night stay at Conrad Chongqing was a truly memorable and meaningful experience, leaving us with cherished memories. Before our trip to Chongqing, I struggled with indecision about which hotel to book. However, after reading reviews on Ctrip, I promptly chose the Conrad.
Upon arriving at the hotel on June 29th, I was immediately captivated by the stunning view from the front desk. We were then upgraded from our original view room to an incredible 270-degree view room, which was absolutely breathtaking. Watching the clouds drift by was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable; every casual photo I took looked picture-perfect.
The room facilities were immaculate and well-maintained, and all the amenities were top-tier. Every staff member was exceptionally polite. Manager Richard, the front desk team, and the housekeeping staff were all incredibly thoughtful and attentive, making my children and me feel completely at home.
A truly wonderful surprise was the farewell gesture, with unexpected flowers and gifts, which made my daughter's graduation trip extra special.
A huge thank you again to Richard and his wonderful, caring team! Next time I'm in Chongqing, Conrad will definitely be my top choice, and I'll be sure to recommend it to all my friends and family!
Overall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm.
Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle.
Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better.
Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive!
Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers.
Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good!
Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train.
To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.
My friend and I had an amazing stay at this hotel, I’ve been in China for several years and this is definitely one of the very best I’ve stayed in.
From the get go the staff was excellent, especially Hebe from reception who checked us in and gave both my friend and I an upgrade when it turned out his room had a strong smell of cigarette. She was particularly polite and friendly throughout our stay, and we were impressed with the rest of the staff too.
The rooms look great, as good as they do on the pictures, and they are spacious and comfortable. Mattresses are of western standard.
The location is also excellent, very close to most attractions in the city, and only about 30 minutes from the airport. There is also a Lawson convenience store next door to the hotel, and you can order food deliveries to your door from *******.
Last but not least, the price is very reasonable for the value you get! I would definitely stay there again on future visits to Chongqing.

I came to Chongqing specifically for the marathon. The hotel had a fantastic promotion for marathon runners: breakfast for just 1 yuan (original price 79 yuan) upon showing valid race proof. This was incredibly good value. The room was a good size. Charon thoughtfully assigned us a high-floor room, and the entire check-in process was quick, friendly, and made us feel very comfortable. The room was perfectly sized, and the cleanliness was impeccable. During our extended stay, the housekeeping staff met all our requests, even changing the sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases. The air conditioner in the room made a slight noise, but it didn't disturb our sleep. Hot water in the bathroom was quick to arrive, and the hairdryer was new. I found out the hotel only opened last September, and commendably, there was no 'new hotel smell' in the room. It's considered a good value-for-money hotel near Jiefangbei, though it's actually a bit closer to Binjiang Road. Both the 24-hour laundry room and gym on the 27th floor are accessible with a room card. It seemed there weren't many guests during my two-day stay; the laundry room had three washer-dryer units, all unused when I checked. The gym isn't huge, but it has enough equipment for a decent workout. Perhaps due to being a new hotel, all facilities, both in-room and public, are comprehensive and in excellent condition. The breakfast spread was also decent, but I'll keep it brief. Overall, I stayed for two days with absolutely no complaints; it was excellent. If I return for the Chongqing Marathon in the future, this will definitely be my first choice. No regrets about staying here for this year's Chongqing Marathon!
This hotel is located within a tourist attraction, built on the original site of a temple and meticulously restored to preserve its original charm. For those looking for a unique accommodation experience, this is an absolute must-visit. Room 8101 was incredibly spacious; the suite even featured a calligraphy studio, perfect for practicing. The room remained comfortably cool thanks to central air conditioning. The bathroom and toilet facilities are self-contained, with a wet/dry separation design, and are impressively large. Transportation is convenient, and the surrounding area is bustling with various local food shops. Despite being in a lively area, the hotel itself offers a tranquil oasis with an elegant and serene atmosphere. The service was absolutely outstanding. Highly satisfied!
Environment: Quiet and comfortable, conveniently located in a business district.
Service: The staff were friendly and proactive, addressing issues promptly. Even with a few minor room problems, they were resolved very quickly.
Facilities: The smart amenities were a convenient touch.
Cleanliness: As it's a chain hotel, I felt confident about its standards. However, the hallway wasn't well-ventilated and felt a bit stuffy when the weather was warm.
The room and the bathroom were very clean and very spacious.
The hotel staff did everything to make me happy.
The bed was large enough for a large person.
There is no safe and there is no microwave in the room.
The room was non-smoking but there were ashtrays next to the computer terminals,
and there were cigarettes burn marks on the furniture. There was no smell of cigarettes in my room.
There are 5 elevators. The Elevators can get very crowded. There is a RARA button in all the elevators, floor 19.
The Nanping metro station is only 50 meters from the hotel.
There is a large supermarket in the basement of the shopping mall under the hotel with plenty of good fresh made food like sandwiches and sushi.
On the floors under the supermarket there is a KFC and a McDonalds.
A taxi ride to the airport T3, at 5 in the morning, was 70 yuan.
There are plenty of taxis at the road past Le Meridian hotel.
For a taxi drop-off use Le Meridian hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. Everything felt fresh and perfectly clean. The staff was exceptionally polite, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed.
I had some business in the area, so I booked a room nearby. The room was very clean, and the location was incredibly convenient. It was a quick taxi ride from the airport, and getting to popular attractions like Hongyadong and Jiefangbei by taxi was also very quick. Since I ordered quite a bit of takeout, the housekeeping staff was very courteous. There were plenty of dining options nearby, including many street food stalls. During my stay, I spoke with Emily at the front desk about a few inquiries, and she was very patient and helpful in answering them. It happened to be quite hot during my visit, but I would definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance to visit in the future.

GGuest UserThe whole set of one bedroom and one living room, in the community, the environment is beautiful, there is a children's playground, the price is cheap, the price is high, the room is clean and hygienic, close to the Jiaotong University light rail station
HHaohaoshenghuodeyigerenI met him again here. It was the best and most painful time in my life. We had each other for a moment, felt regretful for a second, and then admitted the huge pain. Then I left the room in the middle of the night and sat on the street in Nanping all night. I was in so much pain that my tears were not worth it. At that moment, the dam broke. I was not conscious. I wanted to walk straight into the middle of the traffic and end my life. There is no such vivid pain in life. I couldn't breathe or express myself. I waited until 3 o'clock for someone I hadn't seen for a year, but we just met once and then turned around and parted. It was no different from digging out my heart. I was in pain and cried bitterly. I didn't close my eyes for two days and two nights. I took sleeping pills to fall asleep, but I still had nightmares. I felt scared like I was falling off a cliff. 3133, I hope you will be happy and happy. Don't believe in love, love yourself. True record. Life is still beautiful 😊
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were highly unprofessional and incredibly rude. They had a cold, unwelcoming demeanor and, without my consent, registered me as a member. My booking platform clearly specified that I did not want a room at the end of the corridor, yet they assigned me exactly that. I had to proactively inquire and request a room change before they finally moved me. I was already late and exhausted when I arrived, and they just kept wasting my time. I felt truly disrespected by the entire experience. I definitely won't be returning to this Atour hotel.
GGuest UserThis e-sports hotel really exceeded my expectations! The computer configuration is too top, the graphics cards are all 50 series, the memory is high-end, the whole game is silky and not stuck, and the picture quality is full and completely held.
The room was very clean. The keyboard and mouse knew that it was carefully disinfected. There was no greasy feeling and it was super comfortable. The seat is for e-sports. It is not sour after sitting for a long time, and there is no pressure to open the night. The service is also very intimate, calling for water delivery, snacks are particularly fast, the front desk will also take the initiative to ask if you want to adjust the air conditioning temperature, the details are full. The price is really high compared to the configuration and environment, and the price is really high. I will come here next time I open the black.
GGuest UserLiving is very comfortable. The boss service is warm. Downstairs is particularly prosperous. You can buy anything you want to eat. WIFI is also very powerful. / Take a bath and the hot water is very hot. So it is recommended
GGuest UserStayed three times, quite nice! This time it was a standard room. I didn't expect the room to be oversized and very warm! It is also very convenient to get out of the foot. It is super convenient to Jiefangbei, Jiangbei Guanyin Bridge and Xiahaoli. Downstairs is Xiexin, and dining is also a lot of choices. The subway entrance to Chongqing's East Railway Station is located downstairs. It is a suitable hotel for my wife.
GGuest UserThe room was exceptionally clean. It's large, well-ventilated with windows, and very cozy. The front desk was very helpful, clean, and the room had a light fragrance, which I loved. Parking was also very convenient. The hotel is clean, the service is friendly, and transportation is convenient. There are many places to visit nearby. The hotel's WiFi signal is very good, and the room facilities are very complete. There is 24-hour hot water in the room. The hotel is overall very good and highly recommended!
