South Palm Resort Maldives

We went there for our daughter’s birthday. The staffs went above and beyond to make this special day into one of the beautiful memories that we could give to our daughter. The kids really enjoyed their time in this property.

Amazing Holiday at South Palm Resort. Everything was amazing, from the large beach villa with outside shower and direct access to the beach from a private patio to the staff who were all amazing, shout out to Magic from the restaurant. All staff went above and beyond, from cooks to bar staff and cleaning staff they were all very very good and welcoming. Eamon from the water sports centre was also very good and knowledgeable. Would defiantly recommend and would like to come back.

From the moment we landed at Male to the moment we left, South Palms Resort looked after us like Royalty. We were met by a lovely lady at the arrivals gate who took us to the lounge to await out transport to Gan and the same happened on our return journey and even escorted us to the check-in desk. We were met by staff on the speed boat jetty and quickly transported to a welcome meeting with our butler and onto our water villa. Villa's not 5☆ luxury, but perfectly adequate, and the views are amazing. Can't complain about the food and drink, as always something on the buffet and a lot of the food is cooked in front of you, even for the fussiest of eaters. What really makes this resort stand out, is the staff. They work tirelessly to ensure you have a good time. Our waiter "Magic", barman "Saif" and buggy driver "Ali" we outstanding, and really made our holiday special. Overall, outstanding value holiday. One tip..watch the transfer times from Male-Gan-Male. The flights to Gan leave 3 times a day, so check your arrival time at Male to ensure you don't have an extended layover time after a long flight from the UK.

Wow! Words cannot give justice to this place. My husband and I went on honeymoon here in May 24. Big thanks to Sibby and Soley who were wonderful. The staff are all amazing and cannot do enough for you. We stayed in the water villas and it was just amazing. To wake up and see that view each day is incredible. The room was lovely and clean, and the island had everything we needed-so much vegetarian choice too! Thanks so much for making our honeymoon incredible!

This was our first time to the Maldives, and it wont be our last. We arrived to the island to be greeted by some of the staff, who took care of all our bags and cases. We were taken by a buggy to a bar , given a drink and a lovely cold cloth to refresh your hands and face. (so nice as it was so hot there). The very wonderful Siby explained everything to us, then took us all over to our sea villa. The rooms are clean and basic but have everything you need, and the view is amazing. The restaurant did get a bit hot, but the chefs cook most of the food to order in front of you, so you know its fresh. Plenty of choices each day, so if your a fussy eater like me you wont starve. Buffet style with loads to choose from. Our waiter Salman was fantastic, he knew all our drinks orders, nothing was too much trouble for him. He really is a wonderful man. And I cant forget to mention all the chefs, they would cook what you wanted. The bar and its staff was great, Arif would remember every order. Now it comes to Mr Siby, this man should work for MI5. He knew what we had booked, he would be waiting to take us to and from each booking, the spa, diving, snorkelling. this is the man who really did make our holiday. This was a holiday to remember. But it really is the staff that make this place, we couldn't thank them enough for making our trip the best. The only downside to this holiday is the mini bar is not included in your room, and the time it takes to get there as it was 3 planes and a boat. But we will be going back.

Wow. This holiday exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation (we had an ocean villa) was rustic and beautiful. The resort was very well maintained and clean throughout. The staff, nothing was too much trouble, a great asset to the resort. If you are looking for total relaxation and a view of paradise, this is the resort for you. We used the spa and enjoyed a massage (highly recommended). The dive school for a boat trip to go dolphin watching, but others we met also went on fishing and snorkelling trips and said they were fantastic too. The restaurant has a huge variety of food available Indian and chinese cuisine are favoured, but there is a European section that changes every meal time. If you want something that is not available, just ask where they can they will accommodate. The real stars of the resort that made our holiday were: Ali (our butler) was very informative and always had a smile. Imran (our waiter), very welcoming, service with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble. Shamsomdim (restaurant) went out of his way every meal time to make sure we had all we wanted. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the food he supplied. Pool attendant (unsure of name) This man I feel is very unrecognised for the service he provides. He secured our sun loungers each day and looked after our lilo to prevent having to take it back to our villa each day, supplied us with fresh towels throughout the day and kept the area around the pool very clean and always with a smile on his face. The only downside, which is of no fault of the resort, was there are only 2 flights to Gan International airport 12:05 and 16:45, so depending on your flight into Male you may have a lengthy wait.
