Oasis Hotel & Spa

Oasis Hotel & Spa

📍 Rue Granada, Agadir
★★★★ 7.9 (119 reviews)

"The location of this hotel is excellent — just a 5–7 minute walk to the beach and about 10 minutes to the marina. The rooms are standard but clean, with most offering pleasant views of the pool and seafront. Unfortunately, the service and guest experience fall short of expectations for a 4-star hotel. Upon check-in, no information was provided regarding hotel amenities, Wi-Fi access, or room facilities. There was no welcome pack or in-room directory. Wi-Fi details had to be requested separately. The hotel does not offer room service, which is unusual for its rating. The bathroom in our room had a faulty shower screen, leaving the floor soaked after use. When I requested fresh towels from the front desk, I was met with an unhelpful attitude and told that towels would only be replaced during daily room service. However, on one occasion, our room was not serviced at all — the cleaners claimed they had done so, which was untrue. Even after reporting this to reception, only the bedding was changed; the rest of the room was untouched, and rubbish from the previous guest remained in the bathroom bin. Overall, the front desk and cleaning staff lacked warmth and professionalism, and communication was poor. While not speaking English is understandable, the unwillingness to assist guests is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. Staff training in customer service would be highly beneficial. On a cultural note, this is a family-oriented hotel. Visitors from Western countries should be aware that, as Morocco is an Islamic country, some local guests may react with disapproving looks toward certain behaviors or attire."

"We had the most perfect stay. The location was amazing, a short walk down to the beach and in a really quiet neighbourhood. As soon as you walked in you immediately felt calm with serene music, candles and the most gorgeous smells. The staff were really helpful - we also indulged in a massive that was INCREDIBLE. The facilities are like no other - the indoor and outdoor pools were just lovely… clean, quiet and beautifully designed. We stayed in a suite which again was beautifully designed, really spacious and all the facilities you needed. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the pool and we had a sea view. There were towels and robes and sweet treats on arrival. We had lunch by the pool one day and cocktails in the bar which were both delicious. It was 100% worth the money. We didn’t want to leave!!"

"Lovely staff, so helpful. Breakfast was fine, small but most bases covered! Bed was comfortable and shower good. I got a super cheap deal, and would agree that it’s more three than four star, but the food available is excellent and pool area well maintained. The rest of the hotel is a bit tired, scuffed tiles, layers of peeling paint on floors and woodwork, and the spa is not a spa. You need to pay for access. There are treatments available and other than that there’s only a Hammam, and no sauna as advertised. It was pleasant enough, but broken, very dirty, tiny plastic white sliders provided (I asked for larger but they were adamant I had to wear the size 4 sandals on size 8 feet), dressing gowns yellow and frayed and the hammam itself is full of supermarket own brand products - and the plastic curtain to go in was reminiscent of entering an industrial fridge. If you’re looking for a spa hotel go elsewhere, but it was a pretty good hotel for the price. Taxis readily available outside. 10 mins to the beach, but very much on the outskirts, about £4/5 for a taxi to the marina. Same price to the Médina, which is lovely. Do confirm a price with drivers first, a couple tried to charge double. Overall fine for a few days - 4 stars because of staff and food."

"The worst receptionists ever , the staff aren’t willing to be with you and help you unless otherwise you tip them and if you don’t tip they show the attitude . The hotel is huge and it takes you forever to find your rooms . I will simply never ever recommend this cave to anybody . Agadir is full of amazing hotels with better prices"

Résidence IGOUDAR ★★★
"My teenage daughter and I recently stayed at Residence Igoudar, and honestly, I think some of the negative reviews don’t fully reflect what this place offers, it really depends on what you’re looking for. For us, it was exactly what we needed. The location is a huge plus. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach and promenade, with easy access to taxis and buses right outside. There’s also the option to book excursions directly through the hotel, which is convenient if you want to explore. I came to Agadir needing peace. I didn’t want loud music or a party atmosphere, I wanted somewhere calm, grounded, and close to the sea. This place gave me that. There’s a quiet energy here that allowed me to properly rest and reset. The rooms are styled in traditional Moroccan décor, which added to the authenticity of the experience. There’s a small kitchenette if you want to self-cater. We’re quite wellness-focused, so we preferred to buy fresh local produce (Carrefour and Marjane is nearby and Glovo deliveries worked well) and prepare simple healthy meals ourselves. One thing I have to highlight is the cleanliness. The standard was genuinely 5-star. The housekeeping staff are incredible, so warm, hardworking, and attentive. You can tell they take real pride in what they do, even in the heat, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. The beds are firm, which was actually perfect for us. My daughter is a professional athlete, and I have a back condition, so proper support is important, and we both slept really well. What surprised me the most was the beauty of the hotel itself. From the outside, you would never expect it. But once you step inside, the grounds open up into something really special, palm trees, peaceful courtyards, and a kind of vintage charm that feels authentic rather than manufactured. I spent hours sitting outside taking tea and appreciating the surroundings. That said, I want to be honest as well. The hotel isn’t ideal if you have mobility issues, there are quite a lot of stairs throughout the complex. The sun loungers could definitely do with an upgrade, as the fabric has lost its firmness, which made them uncomfortable for me with my back. The baths in the bathrooms are a little worn, with unsightly chipped enamel in the tubs that would benefit from being renovated or updated into showers. The kitchenette is also quite compact, so it’s more suited to light use rather than full cooking. But for me, none of that took away from the overall experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful, character-filled place to stay, somewhere that feels more traditional and less commercial, this is a great choice. It allowed me to slow down, reconnect, and just be present, which is exactly what I needed. We would definitely return… I’m already missing it ❤️"

Hotel Club Almoggar Garden Beach ★★★★
"A great complex, a huge hotel comprising of lots of rooms, most with a sea view. Breakfast was good and the Mecca seemed to be the egg person, you could have fried, scrambled or an omelette with various fillings! A great place to be. The guy who sells tours, I’ll be honest I had little faith in him at first, however he was the real deal when we took a trip to Paradise Valley, it was so good, but not for the feint hearted! Worth every penny and yes of course I haggled!"

"I had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is very convenient, the food offered was enjoyable, and there were several leisure activities available that added value to the stay. However, there were also some drawbacks. The air conditioning in my room was not working at all, and although I reported the issue, no action was taken to fix it. This made the stay less comfortable. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room did not fully meet expectations, as the housekeeping could have been more thorough. Overall, the hotel has several strong points, but improvements in maintenance and cleaning would greatly enhance the guest experience."
