Azure Tides Marari

The stay was perfect, clean, truly relaxing and full of comfort. From the very warm welcome to the assistance offered in booking any type of activities we hoped for, our stay was truly great. The AC clean room saved us from the heat and tue waves of the ocean gave us the calm we were looking for. Sandy beach with palms and little crabs to look for at night. Staff was very kind as well, and we had no trouble with the food we ate, actually loving it. 100% would recommend!

If you are searching for a quite chill out, the private Bungalows are a great place to go. You can hang out on comfortable sun-lounger in front of your bungalow and enjoy the sound of the waves with a beautiful view on the ocean. The beach is clean and with no people, so best for relaxing. The stuff was really polite, friendly and helpful. They paid attention to our needs (late check out, lunch, recommendation for activities, and so on) and made our stay great. We enjoyed the outdoor bathroom with cold and hot water.

The ***agement and Staff could Not care Less for their Guests. The Service was atrocious to say the Least. The order for snacks ***** with the Evening tea were Not served at all. The Reception staff were clueless and not willing to Apologize.

The 14 bungalows are gorgeously perched at the beachfront in Marari Beach. The beachfront is a public space but is quite remote, so only the fisher*** and guests seem to use the sands in front of the guesthouses. Each bungalow has its own outside terrace for sunset viewing and the restaurant serves great Kerala cuisine in a prime oceanfront location. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. They do not hold a liquor licence but the staff will also help with ordering beer/wine to your private bungalow. The huge outdoor showers are very authentic and offer a really natural experience. The hotel is under some minor renovations in the reception and restaurant which did not affect our stay. The gardens are lovely and come with a friendly, lovable puppy. The seascape during the day and the sounds at night are truly idyllic and this feels like the perfect getaway for quiet ro***ce and reflection.

My husband and I arrived at Azure Tides Marari after a hectic month travelling in India. We stayed in room 110 which (like all rooms) had a delightful patio at the front with 2 loungers and table and 2 chairs. Our view was as in the first photo attached. The room was large, spacious and very clean with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was outside, open to the wonderful climate and completely private. All the staff were delightful, friendly and extremely helpful. Particular mention must be made for Naina who made all arrangements and accompanied me to a nearby hospital for treatment to a pre existing condition. The kitchen staff prepared special food for me and the cleaning ladies enhanced our stay with their smiles, bath towel decorations and hampers. This is not a large corporate chain type of hotel (which we did not want). It is a bespoke place with just a handful of groundfloor rooms. Each room has a tap at the front to wash sand off feet. The golden sandy beach is empty other than a few fishermen (great to watch them each day) and dolphins! . It is so quiet and peaceful - so different from the cities. WIFI worked well. Thank you to all staff.

A great place to relax ! a complex of houses located on a beautiful beach. Well-equipped, clean and well-kept interior. Peace and quiet, the sound of the ocean and wonderful hotel employees who will take care of all your needs make you not want to leave this place! the food served at the hotel is of high quality prepared immediately before serving from fresh products. the hotel employees are very nice and always helpful in every situation, from arranging transport, providing information to the evening dinner at sunset. We heartily recommend it

We visited at the end of our trip to Kerala and after a busy schedule, this is bliss. I was concerned after reading some negative reviews but our stay was lovely. As mentioned in the previous review, Azure Tides is very peaceful and private. Our cottage on the beach was perfect, large airy bedroom, cool at night with good aircon and a ceiling fan. Good hot shower, tea and coffee making facilities in room and a fridge. Great patio outside with reclining loungers and a bamboo canopy and lovely breeze to keep things cool. You can see the fishermen going out at night with their boats lit up and mending their nets early in the morning., which is the best time to swim as the sea is usually very calm. In the afternoon there is a chance to spot dolphins. We both thought that our experience was very authentic but it is not the same as staying in a large international 5 star hotel, which we definitely didn’t want. The staff are really friendly and helpful and Naina is always on hand to book tuk tuks etc. There is an Ayurvedic spa in the grounds and my husband and I both had a great massage. Regarding the negative reviews, the hotel is not dirty but the bathroom is unexpected as it has been constructed with an open space between the top of the walls and the bamboo ceiling. We were fine with this and I only saw one little shield bug in the time we were there. We would definitely come and stay again.

Once again had a wonderful time at Azure tides...the kids keep wanting to come back here everytime we think of a beach vacation in Kerala...and not surprised...owing to the excellent location...you are Bang on the beach !!... wonderful cottages...set right on the beach...and the beach is almost always personal to use...not ***y outsiders roam into this area... The cottages ...we have stayed in a few at different times...are well equipped, comfortable and cleanly maintained... You can taste different cuisines...and also get custom made food if any special needs are there...just inform them in advance... Mr.Sajan who is the boss...is a very helpful gent...u can communicate directly with him..although the staff are well trained in all matters of achieving customer satisfaction...but Mr.Sajan is always available...for any need. The staff boys are very helpful and efficient and a special thanks to Ms Naina...who accomodate our last minute requests and other needs with great efficiency and politeness...Thank you! If u r looking for a peaceful,lovely location to spend quality time with family and friends...on a beach locale...wud recommend Azure Tides ! Will drop in again. This place was very unhygienic their was bed bugs and other bugs everywhere got bitten with an hour stay before leaving I wouldn’t recommend it to a dead person as it was so dirty even the electric didn’t work what a basic thing would think and they call it a 5 star place a hostel would of been better. India calling tours are refusing to give us a refund tell us it was a 5 star hotel and what you can read you can definitely tell it. So if you want to get ripped off book with India calling tours and get mugged off!!.
