Overnight stop on our way home from Texas. Ok for our purposes. Clean with comfortable bed but hotel is sorely in need of painting and new carpet!! Breakfast was better than average and staff was friendly.

The property was excellent except the pool was closed for repairs. The room was nice, the breakfast was great each day of our stay.

We had no phone in the room, and no hot water when we arrived. I asked the staff for another room, and I guess they figured out it was multiple rooms and then proceeded to call in help. However they never had any real communications with us for update, we just stood around in limbo. Finally went to sleep, without a shower, had water in the a.m., but it would have been a courtesy to keep your tenants updated.

The property is in need of repair. Lots of scuffs on walls in rooms, poor shower head and drain, bed needs replaced.

There were problems with the plumbing, so the shower did not function correctly, and the bathroom look like it had been under construction recently and not well completed

Didn’t have any hot water. Tried to get a shower in another room. The staff wouldn’t do that. I’ve stay there before with no problems, but would have been nice for them to work out a solution this time. Showed no interest in that.

I'll start with the bad and end with the good. Our room was definitely not clean. Our refrigerator was full of someone else's food. One of the pillowcases had blood on it. There was a chewed up caprisun straw on the headboard. The bathroom floor had been cleaned, but the corners had built up grime. The tub faucet dripped constantly and the tub was rusty. The repairs made were shoddy at best. In some places in the bathroom, I couldn't tell if I was seeing mold, or if the material used for repairs just looked like mold. I had a 2 bedroom suite, and the tv didn't work in the kids room. The pool was out of order. Several of our family members were staying in the hotel, some we hadn't seen in years. The man working the front desk for the evening didn't seem to want us visiting in the common area. We hadn't seen my in-laws for Christmas, and while visiting there, they gave my husband and I a bottle of wine and a bottle of bourbon. They were sitting, unopened, on the table as we visited, and he told us we had to put them away. He said there were complaints about us, even though the phone never rang and no one ever approached the desk. We weren't being disruptive.
The pros...Check-in was fast and easy. All other staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. The ladies on night and morning duty were fantastic. Breakfast was good.

My stay at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites East Wichita I-35 Andover, was less ideal than I had hoped for. Although the exterior looked modern and up-to-date. Once inside, things started to show more wear. Except for the front lobby and the breakfast area, things needed a thorough cleaning. There was evidence of unfinished repairs in my hotel room that were unsightly but didn't affect its functionality. The breakfast provided in the morning was excellent, and that area was very clean. The beds were comfortable at least.
