Auckland Newmarket Hotels

Because I wanted to go to the Newmarket Shopping Center. So I chose this hotel. The flight at night. I only arrived in Auckland in the early morning. I only found out that this is not an ordinary hotel. No staff at night. To go through the answering machine at the door and do not know who to talk to. First say that I can't find my name. But clearly I booked with Trip.com. The money has been paid. It took 40 minutes to get the room card under the answering machine. I slept not long. About 6 am was woken up by the alarm clock on the bedside table. Not my alarm clock! The hotel was too irresponsible. It was not possible to cancel the alarm clock set by the previous people! Then I had a hard time falling asleep and was awakened by the phone not long after. Said that I should check out. Actually check out at 10:30 here! It's really a remorseful intestine. I booked a big bed room. I found out that it was two small beds! This is a really wonderful hotel. The room has a toaster and microwave and almost full set of tableware. There is also a small pool and induction cooker. It should be cooked for people. There is also a bathtub. These are other features.

It was convenient because the inn was in the city center. The entrance to the building was always locked, so I don't think the security aspect was bad.

Room 101 was out through the first floor fire exit door, which led down to the car park. We couldn't have the curtains open because the windows overlooked another multi storied carpark and even if we did there was not a lot of natural light coming in. We couldn't have the window open because of the outside noise which went on until gone 7pm and started up again at 4.15 am making sleep almost impossible. The main room was compact and tidy but the toilet cum shower room was tiny and cramped. The bed was comfortable though. I would recommend asking for a room on the upper levels.

I am travelling with family with kids and elderly. The grand is probably the best central location that you can find in Auckland if you are taking public transport. The pickup and dropoff for Skybus to Auckland airport is a 5 min walk away. The surrounding has plenty of restaurants including japanese & Chinese food. Facilities wise it has a gym and a heated swimming pool which the kids enjoy. Room is clean & spacious. Hotel price wise is on a high but weighing all the plus points, I will book it again for all the reasons above.

I love the central location of the hotel, everywhere is very walkable. Full beds are small for our family of 3 adults though

I really liked the hotel! I had a gorgeous room with a washing machine, kitchen, large bed, work area and a view of the tower. When checking in, they asked for a $500 deposit. A little unexpectedly large, but they returned it upon check-out. The kitchen has excellent new appliances. I really enjoyed using the oven. There are problems with the Internet. It doesn't connect, the connection drops with an error. You have to try to connect again many times. It connects after the 5th time. You can set any temperature on the climate control remote, but if you set it to 23-24 degrees, it doesn't start heating right away, but after 5-10 minutes. A comfortable office chair. You can sit and work at the table. I was allowed to check in a little earlier and it was also possible to check out at night, since the reception is open 24 hours. There is a restaurant with buffet breakfasts.
