I am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience. I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start. The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed. After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend. In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me. I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness. Thank you brother. I look forward to returning in the near future with my partner, and when my mandarin is better.

The front desk wanted to upgrade a room in the off-season. There was a team to stay. I still wanted to be quiet. Aershan is a European-style building. The unique loft style is available. The space is OK. I live alone. It is clean, quiet and I am more used to it.

The location of this hotel is very good, there is a river within a minute's walk, and walk around the river at night to see the beautiful night view of the small town. It takes four minutes to drive to the train station, 2 minutes to drive to the Shengquan Square, and not far from eating. Although there are many hotels around, his family has the most vehicles, the room is clean and hygienic, the boss is good and the service is very good, free to upgrade the room type, when you come, take the initiative to help with luggage, I will help you when you leave. It is really rare to have such a good service.

Overall, it's ok to live. The room was very clean and quite spacious for 4 adults. Breakfast is 10 yuan per person opposite. It's relatively simple. If you go early, you'll be late and you won't have anything to eat. Disadvantages: The toilet is small, the water heater has a small water storage capacity, and the hot water is gone before the water temperature is adjusted. The faucet in the sink was not fixed and difficult to use. The room for 5 people was only given 3 pairs of slippers and 3 sets of disposable items, and the attitude was very bad when asking for them. Because we arrived after dark, the staff opened the door and left. My family and I went out again in the evening. When we came back after 11 o'clock, we went to the front desk to find the key. I was told that I had to pay a 100 deposit to get the key. The two staff members didn't tell me when I checked in. They would have given me the check-in earlier, so I wouldn't have gone around looking for someone to open the door in the middle of the night.

The owner and her family are really great. The room was neat and clean, and since we arrived early, we were able to pick a room with a mountain view outside the window. We originally planned to stay for two nights, but due to an urgent family matter, we had to check out a day early. The owner processed our refund without any fuss, which we really appreciate.

The location of the homestay is excellent, located on the banks of the unfrozen river, the balcony has a wide view, and you can see the unfrozen river by opening the door. You can enjoy the fog in the morning and watch the scenery at sunset. The experience is full. The environment is quiet and warm, and it is very comfortable to live with children. The boss family is very kind, the service is intimate, and the food is delicious! You can walk to the river when you go out, saving the trouble of running around, and immersing yourself in the natural scenery of Aershan. It is a homestay worth living in Aershan Forest Park!

The room exceeded expectations, the balcony of the room is opposite the large lawn and the downtown square, the scenery is beautiful! The sister at the front desk said that the sunrise on the balcony was absolutely amazing, but I couldn't get up after 4 o'clock, sorry. Standing on the balcony, the lights in the city are on in the evening, it feels like a fairy tale town!

During the National Day, the prices of scenic spots increased. If you book in advance, the price is moderate. The boss still didn't raise the price on the ground, and he was very conscientious. Aershan is indeed beautiful. Stay for one night and leave in a hurry. By the way, there is a breakfast shop at the door.
