The hotel's decor is a bit dated, but judging by its early design, it seems to have aimed for a 4-5 star standard. In the humid Guiyang rainy season, the commercial-grade washer-dryer in the lobby is especially practical. The lobby also offers Miao village-style photo shoots, so you don't need to look for one once inside the scenic area.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and it's quite accommodating as you can still eat if you arrive a little late. The cleanliness and service were excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. On a lucky rainy season morning, you might even catch a breathtaking sea of clouds. For those who prefer to avoid the noisy atmosphere of guesthouses within the village, this hotel outside the scenic area is an excellent choice."

"The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick. She even thoughtfully asked if I needed late-night snacks delivered to my room in the evening, and sent me a message in the morning to have breakfast delivered to my room. The cleanliness was good; the front desk called to inquire about housekeeping and arranged for a staff member to clean, which made me feel very reassured!

The hanging building built on the mountain, blended the batik intangibles into the space, the room was transparent and clean, and the floor-to-ceiling windows were opened to the mountain valley. There is no noise, the manager is intimate and thoughtful, slow down and immersive feeling Miao Village's unique quiet and gentle, very suitable for coming here to put fatigue. Guest UserThe room was clean and odor-free! It's about a five or six-minute walk from Kaili South Station. Downstairs, there are plenty of restaurants, all affordably priced. The owner was incredibly warm and sincere, even helping me hang my laundry – really appreciate that! 👍🏻 The room offered great value for money; for just over 100 RMB, it was very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. It was quiet at night too! The owner recommended a restaurant nearby, I think it was called Qianwei Restaurant? I've forgotten the exact name, but the food was delicious and cheap. All in all, a fantastic experience!! It's also only about a 40-minute taxi ride to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village.

ReaidexiaobanliI stayed overnight in Xijiang. It was a guesthouse converted from a family home. The exterior looked old, but the room was quite nice. The basic amenities met my needs. It was a great deal for the price. The owner was very accommodating. When I mentioned that there was no kettle in the room, he immediately brought one over. The location was easy to find. Just follow the navigation after exiting the high-speed rail station.

Lisa P BI felt so welcomed and comfortable at this boutique hotel in ancient Xaisi. I understood that this hotel was in an older part of Kaili. On further exploration I found it to be in an extremely historic an ancient village of Xiasi that spanned many dynasties. Within walking distance to can find architecture that represents Qing and other dynasties . Xiasi’s streets reveal layers of history where Han, Miao, and merchant cultures converge. Stone streets, wooden covered bridges, decorated eaves, bell towers, and imperial and domestic courtyards reflect exquisite craftsmanship. My room overlooked the Qingjiang River. It was beautiful appointments with indigo fabric details. I especially liked the Chinese red chair. My room also have a spacious balcony. The owner took care of me like I was her daughter. It was so sweet. The central courtyard of the hotel is a lush garden. I loved exploring Xiasi during the quiet off-season. Its enchanting alleyways and ancient architecture is extraordinary. It’s especially romantic as evenings falls and this historic village is lit by red lanterns. I highly recommend this hotel. I look forward to returning.

The location of the homestay is very good, just near the pedestrian shopping street of Xiasi Ancient Town, downstairs is a very atmospheric coffee shop, travel and foraging are very convenient. The boss is very friendly and welcoming, giving people a feeling of going home. The room was cleaned very clean and lived in peace of mind. The most pleasant surprise is the river view outside the window, the view is wide, the scenery is super beautiful! Guest UserThe hotel facilities are somewhat outdated; the pillows are too soft and uncomfortable. I especially want to complain about the hotel breakfast – it was terrible, and the noodle cook was incredibly grumpy. Previously, there was no food left by 9:30 am, but now breakfast is served at 11 am. When I went downstairs to eat at 10 am, the toppings for the noodles had already been put away, and some of the stir-fried dishes were cold, not heated at all. When I asked for more toppings, the noodle cook angrily took them out from under the counter, her face dark with displeasure. She said she put them away because no one was eating there. Am I not a person? Am I not allowed to eat? Absolutely terrible.

Guest UserServices are exceptional with owner answering my question in a minute. Lovely historical town with neat river bridges that are eliminated at night. You have to pay an entrance fee into Scenic area so if you are staying several days, make sure get multiple day ticket . Location is great if you like staying in Historical area and don’t mind noise form cheerful crowds. The light show at the historical area are beautiful but they come with the loud music and fireworks that shake the room until 10:30 at night. Location is 30-40 minutes away from Kaili so if you are exploring Minority Villages you have to take multiple busses (first to Kaili and second to village)
