Yixing Hotels with Balcony

This was my favorite hotel on our ten-day trip around Taihu Lake. It boasts an exquisite, secluded style, emphasizing a return to simplicity without the need for smart technology. There are no TVs in the rooms, and the curtains are all manual, with keyless entry. But every step was filled with breathtaking beauty. The service was exceptional. The housekeeper asked for our arrival time in advance. We parked in the parking lot and took the electric cart up the mountain. However, since my mother had mobility issues, the cart took us directly to the elevator and even assigned us the room closest to the elevator. The housekeepers were incredibly kind and friendly, smiling every time they greeted us. Since we were staying for several days, we decided to skip housekeeping, so we hung a sign saying ”no housekeeping required.” The housekeepers waited at the door until the housekeeper confirmed we needed towels changed and items replenished. They were incredibly attentive and responsible. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and every dessert was delicious. We didn't want to waste any, so we devoured all three desserts each day. The next day, we were too lazy to go downstairs to the restaurant, so the housekeeper even brought them to our room. The room also included tickets to the Yixing Ceramics Museum, which you could spend a whole day exploring. Besides the history of ceramics and collections from different dynasties, the room also boasts a beautiful museum. There are also numerous works and manuscripts by Gu Jingzhou, which are well worth a visit. However, the museum is quite old, and only one side has an elevator. Some sections require walking up and down stairs, making it difficult for those with mobility issues. During osmanthus season, the fragrance of osmanthus fills the air. Nearby, at the entrance to Longbei Mountain, there are dark-colored osmanthus trees, which are incredibly fragrant. Conversely, at the windy Tao Erchang, apart from the UCCA building and a handmade jewelry shop by an independent designer, everything else exudes an internet celebrity vibe and a cheap feel. It took me five minutes to explore. The only downside to the hotel is the small rooms. I think there are 17 rooms, averaging around 40 to 50 square meters, but it certainly didn't feel cramped. Even when the hotel is full, it's still quiet, perhaps influenced by the surroundings, preventing noise. I'll definitely be back.

The biggest highlight is that most rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views and balconies with stunning terraces/balconies, allowing guests to fully appreciate the beauty of the lake, mountains, or courtyard. Some rooms even include a private hot spring bath, instantly elevating the experience. 3. Attentive Service and Abundant Experiences • Excellent Service: From booking confirmation to check-in and check-out, the service team is warm, meticulous, and responsive. They provide personalized services to meet individual needs, making guests feel right at home. • Abundant Activities: The hotel offers a variety of activities, including tea ceremony, handicrafts (such as pottery), cycling, and hiking. The ”Secret Realm” exploration route, in particular, guides guests to discover the hidden beauty of the surrounding area and is very popular. • Family-Friendly: The hotel features a children's playground, play area, and family activities, making it an excellent choice for family trips. 4. Thoughtful Dining • Local Ingredients: Breakfast and lunch/dining focus on using local seasonal ingredients, especially fresh fish from Yunhu Lake, which is incredibly delicious. • Exquisite Flavors: The dishes are beautifully presented, with flavors that blend local specialties with more accessible options, offering authentic Yixing cuisine. 5. Overall Experience and Reputation Guests generally consider this a secluded paradise resort hotel, perfectly balancing design, nature, and vacation vibes. Although the price is on the higher side, most reviews consider it well worth the cost for its environment, design, service, and overall experience. Some Tips: • Due to its natural setting, mosquito repellent is recommended in summer. • Some areas of the hotel may have many steps; those carrying large luggage or with mobility issues should contact the hotel in advance for assistance. • Due to its popularity, especially on holidays and weekends, early booking is advised. In summary, Yixing West Bank Huangchuan Hotel has become one of the most highly regarded high-end resort hotels in Yixing and even the Yangtze River Delta region, thanks to its secluded yet accessible location, artistic design, guest rooms with direct views of the mountains and water, meticulous service, and immersive natural experience.

The property is so beautiful and comfortable. Every inch is a well designed aesthetic scene with tasteful decor and gardening outside (some bits left to be natural and wild, attracting butterflies) the team is super helpful and nice- always reachable and happy to help. The location is not as remote as one could wish, but this means you have easy access to some beautiful walks in the bamboo sea and the older towns. The cafe does get busy in the late mornings but early morning and evenings are incredibly peaceful. Coming back to the comfortable rooms and hot showers from a hike is a great feeling. A place truly run with so much passion and hard work! I will come back in the autumn or cold weather one day.

This hotel boasts an excellent location at the heart of Yangxian Xishan, offering stunning mountain and water views. It's a low-density, quiet area with a strong holiday vibe. The butler service is well-established, with proactive communication before arrival, shuttle services within the park, and thoughtful welcome gifts, all with quick response times. The hardware is high-end, featuring private hot spring rooms with excellent privacy. Toiletries, bedding, and smart devices are all of high quality. Local amenities are comprehensive, with a full range of dining options, purple clay pottery workshops, and nearby attractions, making it a one-stop destination for a complete holiday experience.

Tao Lu B&B in Yaohu Town was such a wonderful surprise! The scenic area is beautiful and tranquil, the water show is enchanting, and the kiln fire show in the evening is absolutely spectacular. I booked a garden-view room but was upgraded to a premium lake-view room. The lake and mountains were breathtaking from the window. The breakfast selection was rich every morning, and we enjoyed the hot springs in the afternoon. There were over a dozen pools, some with additives and some with plain water, plus a hot stone bed and a steam room. After soaking in various pools, a session in the steam room was incredibly relaxing. Our butler, Sister Xiaowei, reminded us daily to keep our room stocked with drinks, fruit, and dry towels, and even suggested daily sightseeing routes. The entire stay was incredibly comfortable, making us feel right at home.

The front desk lady was quite welcoming and patient, but here are some complaints. On our first day, the hotel's cleanliness left much to be desired. First, the tea leaves from the previous guest were still in the teapot, still warm (though we didn't use them, leaving them on the coffee table was a bit unacceptable). Second, the cups in the room hadn't been cleaned, with obvious stains from the previous guest's coffee or tea still dried on the sides (we usually bring our own cups, but we inevitably used them, which was quite disconcerting). I thought they'd be checked and cleaned the next day, but they still weren't. After our two-day stay, the room wasn't even cleaned or replaced after cleaning on the second day. Luckily, we brought our own, otherwise it would have been embarrassing to find out there was no paper when we went to the bathroom. 😅 Since the hotel also caters to restaurants, leaving the windows open after check-in is not recommended. There's a restaurant next door, which is loud with music during the day and smells of cooking smoke. My personal recommendation is that if you're traveling by car to Yixing, choose a hotel close to the city center. Most scenic spots are in the suburbs, and you'll need to take a taxi or drive anyway. There's no need to choose a suburban location for a one-time visit. Eating out is also inconvenient, and you'll usually have to drive over 20 minutes to the city center. The city center is more convenient for those who travel back and forth.

I went to Yixing with my family on weekends. I found the hotel by accident. The hotel is located in the foothills of Nanyue Mountain in Yixing. The air is fresh and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is suitable for relaxing on weekends and short vacations. The hotel is a moderate drive from Shanghai, convenient for self-driving travel, and there are plenty of parking spaces. The parent-child facilities are rich, the children's playground, billiards, chess and card room, adults and children have a great time, the experience is very good, and I will stay next time.

Very satisfied, it is very easy to find on the roadside, free parking at the door, and plenty of parking spaces. The rest is good value for money, and it is convenient to eat and shop around. After the hotel comes out, turn left and there is a community convenience canteen on the small road. It is clean, hygienic, cheap and delicious. There are many types of special cost-effective. The room size is moderate, the bedding is also very clean, praise!
