"Figure 2 shows the hotel itself, and Figure 1 is the narrow road leading up to it. The hotel is located halfway up a hill, and the road to it is a bit tricky to find. We arrived at night and took a wrong turn using Google Maps, but luckily, a hotel staff member found us and led us in. This hotel is perfect if you're traveling by car; otherwise, getting in and out might be a bit inconvenient. The rooms are spacious, and the river view is absolutely stunning. Each room has air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a hairdryer, and it's clean and hygienic. Of course, some minor design details could be improved, and the elevator has a rather 'Egyptian' feel to it. However, these are minor flaws. We stayed for two nights, and compared to other local hotels, we definitely think this one offers excellent value for money."

"The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, within walking distance. I didn't use the hotel breakfast, so I can't comment on that. However, I had an unpleasant experience during my stay. The hotel policy might be to provide only one small bottle of water per day. On my first day, I used my own large bottle of water. On the second day, I returned from Abu Simbel very thirsty. The small bottle of water provided on the first night wasn't enough. So, I went to the front desk to ask for another bottle of water. The front desk staff initially told me to buy one myself. I then explained that I had booked for two nights, so I asked if I could get the water for the second night since there was only one bottle in the room today. The front desk checked their records and said it had already been placed in the room. I told them I couldn't find it and only had yesterday's bottle. They said they would send someone up with it later, but no one ever brought it, even after waiting all night. When I checked out at around 5 AM the next morning, I opened the mini-fridge and found a small bottle of water. I apologized to them at checkout, saying I had found the water. But the reality is that everyone I met throughout my trip along the Nile in Egypt was very kind, and this small bottle of water left me a bit disappointed. I hope the hotel can improve its service; guests are more important than a small bottle of water. Perhaps this is characteristic of Aswan. If you book this hotel, make sure to bring enough bottled water, especially if there are many people."

"I had an excellent stay at Malindy Ka Nubian House in Aswan. The hospitality of Mr Mohamed was truly outstanding, and the entire team was very friendly, helpful, and always prompt in responding to any questions or requests. Mr. Mohamed guided us very well during our stay and helped with everything we needed in Aswan, including local travel tips and arrangements. The Abu Simbel tour arrangements were very good and budget-friendly, which made the experience smooth and comfortable. The location itself is peaceful and quiet, giving a beautiful experience of Nubian culture and lifestyle. The artistic paintings and decorations both inside and outside the property were beautiful and added a unique cultural touch to the stay. The room was very neat, clean, and comfortable. Even a late-night dinner was quickly arranged for us, which we truly appreciated. If guests have any specific food preferences, it is better to inform them earlier so they can check the availability and prepare accordingly. For travelers arriving at Aswan Airport, using the Indrive app can also be very helpful for transportation. Overall, everything was perfect, and we had a wonderful experience staying here. It was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and well-equipped with all the basic amenities. It had air conditioning, a refrigerator, a refrigerator pot, soap, paper towels, mugs and tea, a small locker, hangers, and a blanket. The bathroom was also spacious and easy to use. The hotel is located about a two-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The island's roads are not well-maintained, so we don't recommend carrying a suitcase. There are two delicious restaurants nearby where you can have breakfast. The restaurant next to the ferry terminal also offers takeout. The ferry runs frequently and costs £15 per person. However, between midnight and 6am it costs £75 per person. Generally, there's nothing to worry about with the ferry. The owner was very kind and explained everything clearly at check-in. He also arranged an Abu Simbel Temple tour and airport transfers for us. If you're considering the Abu Simbel Temple tour, please note that regular tours may not include island transfers, so ask the owner if they can arrange one. Please note that unlike regular hotels, there is not always someone at the front desk.

We stayed in the old building. The view from the window was beautiful, though photos probably look better from the new building. However, if you want to experience the hotel's traditional charm, the old building is definitely better. The hotel restaurant combines North African elegance with Baroque grandeur. The staff were well-mannered, polite, enthusiastic, decent, and attentive. Since we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel due to our trip to Abu Simbel, we asked the front desk to prepare a breakfast pack, which was very substantial. At sunset, a flutist plays in the lobby, adding a delightful ambiance.

Food: Provides local food, fair price, good taste👍 Service: Good service, some staff can speak English, communication is barrier-free; round trip boat ride is free, round trip boat ride during the stay is 200 pounds, round trip to Philae Temple is 400 pounds (it seems that the temple pier charges some fees); we asked the hotel to book a car to Abu Simbel Temple, 4100 Egyptian pounds, a little expensive but it seems to be a service provided by a formal company, the driver is very good👍 Environment: The hotel is opposite the Philae Temple, and it takes about ten minutes to take a boat from the pier to the island where the hotel is located. The scenery of the Nile is beautiful: there will be some geckos in the room, hahaha, but there is no problem with going to the toilet and taking a shower, and the sanitary conditions are better than expected. Overall, it is worth recommending. There is no wifi, but it is an interesting natural experience.

This is a great place. The island where the hotel is located is the best spot in all of Aswan. The people here are nothing like the Egyptians who constantly bother you. Here, you can relax more. There are many good places to eat nearby. The room is comfortable, clean, and has Nile views. You have a shared 'kitchenette' with another room in the hallway just outside your door on the same floor. The rooftop terrace is great for sitting and having a drink (which you bring up yourself) and enjoying the Nile views both day and night. The staff are very friendly and even give you a farewell gift – a bracelet with a scarab for everyone in the room. Plus, you get a welcome drink both when you arrive and when you leave. The bathroom has a shower gel dispenser and a shampoo dispenser. They also provide tea and coffee as amenities, and there's a kettle and a fridge to store your things.

A little hard to access by car, but located just a few steps away from the market, as it’s on the edge of the Nubian village. Service overall was ok, with them offering to prepare breakfast boxes for us, as we were heading to Abu Simbel early morning, though dinner service was very slow and staff weren’t as attentive.

This hotel has a unique decor style, full of childhood memories. We encountered a sandstorm the night we checked in, which was quite an experience! The hotel manager was very welcoming and provided excellent service, fulfilling all our needs. We stayed for four consecutive nights and really loved it. From here, you can take a boat to the other side of the Nile and enjoy the most beautiful views. The river breeze was very pleasant, and it wasn't hot during the day. The only downside was the Wi-Fi; it only worked in the lobby, and there was no signal in the room, which was inconvenient.

The rooms weren't as good as Atour or Ji Hotel, and at 1300 RMB a night, it was definitely a bit pricey! I stayed for two days. The hotel is a short walk from the Nubian Museum, and a short walk further down is the Old Falls, making the location very convenient. There's a Carrefour supermarket opposite the Old Falls, and a pretty good Chinese restaurant across from Carrefour. Waking up in the morning and opening the curtains to see the Nile River was quite breathtaking. The breakfast was so-so, but there's not much good food in Egypt, so I guess breakfast is included if it's included. 😂

Benben is a beautiful place and the service is top notch. Why the 3 stars? Our room jacuzzi was way too hot to enter. On the first day they send someone over who added cold water so we could enjoy it. Then on the second day as we are coming back from our day trip and want to relax, we find out our jacuzzi is again way too hot. It’s not fun to wait for them to fix this issue when we want to go in right now and not in an hour or so. Also as a 5 stars hotel, the hot water kept running out in our shower after 15 minutes which is quite crazy. It shouldn’t be like this. Or else we loved everything. The food is really good, and as I said the staff/service is amazing.

Out of the five hotels I stayed at in Egypt, this one wasn't cheap, but the experience was just okay. The photos made it look great, but the hotel itself isn't that big. It's located on a hill next to the Old Cataract, so walking back means a steep climb. I even had an unreliable driver try to charge extra just because of the hill – unbelievable! 😓 The front desk staff's attitude was so-so, and they gave me a ground-floor room. I seriously suspect the housekeeping staff tampered with my foundation bottle. The cap was open, and a few drops had spilled out. The more I thought about it later, the more I realized it definitely wasn't my doing. If you're staying here, I'd recommend keeping your personal items locked in your luggage! The buffet restaurant's food was mediocre, but the coffee was decent.
