First, the hotel picked me up at the ferry dock by their own boat, which really helped me relax after a tiring journey. When I arrived, everything felt very new furniture and very big room—especially the bathroom—and the whole place was very clean. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it was, so I could sleep very well. The owner is also very kind and helped arrange the trips I wanted to go on. I originally booked for just 2–3 nights, but ended up staying for a full 7 days.

The common area is decorated with immense love – it's pleasant to sit there for hours, chatting or reading a book. But the main treasure of this hotel is the staff. Very, very friendly people, always ready to help. I especially want to mention the owner – he's a true host who cares for every guest as if they were family. It's interesting to talk to him; he'll tell you everything about the culture and give sound advice. And, of course, the food – that's a separate art form. Everything is incredibly delicious and very filling. The breakfasts were so hearty that we had enough energy until evening. Be sure to try their fresh juices and Nubian tea – it's divine, and the coffee is excellent too. The only nuance to consider is the internet. It's not the most powerful, but you certainly can't call it weak. We worked remotely, video calls went without serious issues, and email and messengers worked perfectly. So, it was perfectly adequate for remote work. I would return here with great pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The view from the room overlooking the Nile is phenomenal and it's absolutely worth staying in Nubian Village instead of Aswan. We were warmly welcomed by the owner's mother. The room was clean and nice, only the bathroom was very small with the shower head almost directly over the toilet, otherwise everything was great. Breakfast was good and the staff were always helpful. We can highly recommend the free tour from Nubian Village, it was very interesting. WhatsApp replies could be a bit quicker, otherwise a great place to stay and fantastic hosts.

My only minor complaint is the limited breakfast selection, but that's easily overlooked given the hotel's legendary restaurant. A couple of staff members had some attitude issues, but they apologized promptly after we spoke with them. Families traveling with teenagers should note that there's an extra charge for minors exceeding a certain age; it's $150 per night and includes an extra bed and breakfast.

I heard that the more prosperous part of Aswan is the east bank of the Nile, but this is a small hotel in a Nubian village on the west bank of the Nile. If you have a chartered car, you can stay in the village to experience the Nubian culture (there is a section of road under construction into the village, it is not easy to walk and it is very dark at night). You can see the sunrise over the Nile when you go out in the morning. It is very quiet and the small village is also very beautiful. The service is particularly good. The breakfast (some bread, yogurt and boxed juice) will be packed for the morning meeting. There is an independent bathroom, but the light is dim, so I lowered my expectations. It is normal and good conditions in Egypt. At least it is clean, the bath water is hot, and it is not a problem to sleep in clothes for a night.

This hotel is really old and definitely not worth the price. We stayed in Luxor for the same price and it was much, much better. The room was tiny; it was hard to move around after putting down two suitcases. It was supposed to be a 1.5m bed, but they put a 1.8m mattress on it, so if you sleep too close to the edge, it sags... The toilet leaked all night, and the air conditioning barely cooled the room.

Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ekadolli Nubian guesthouse. As we had to leave early, the host kindly prepared a take-away breakfast, which was very thoughtful. During our stay, we were also taken on a free tour of the Nubian village, giving us a great insight into local life and culture. We even had the chance to see crocodiles, which made the experience truly unique and memorable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we felt well looked after throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic Nubian experience.

Benben is a beautiful place and the service is top notch. Why the 3 stars? Our room jacuzzi was way too hot to enter. On the first day they send someone over who added cold water so we could enjoy it. Then on the second day as we are coming back from our day trip and want to relax, we find out our jacuzzi is again way too hot. It’s not fun to wait for them to fix this issue when we want to go in right now and not in an hour or so. Also as a 5 stars hotel, the hot water kept running out in our shower after 15 minutes which is quite crazy. It shouldn’t be like this. Or else we loved everything. The food is really good, and as I said the staff/service is amazing.
