Belmond Monasterio: The Best Hotel in Cusco, Beyond Any Comparison Without exaggeration, Belmond Monasterio is the best hotel in Cusco. Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice. The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece. Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt. I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.

Our train back from Machu Picchu was delayed, so we didn't get to the hotel until 10 PM. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a cozy warmth. The turndown service was already complete, and there was even a hot water bottle. It was hands down the best night's sleep we've had so far on this trip. The hotel itself is incredibly stylishly decorated. Breakfast is a buffet, but you can also order à la carte. The coffee is excellent too. Highly recommend!

This was an absolutely FANTASTIC stay experience and I recommend it to all travellers to Cusco. The house is conveniently located in the historic centre of Cusco and you can easily access restaurants, cafes, main attractions within a few minutes of walking. The Wanchaq train station is at most a 20-minute walk on the main street of Cusco, thereby making it very safe and easy at any time of the day. Taking an Uber, it is around 20 to 30-minute drive to the Cusco Airport, costing less than PEN 20. The main gates are locked at night for safety, though all staff will make sure that front desk service is still available 24 hours for anyone needing to exit or enter the premises. Communications is conveniently maintained through WhatsApp and made very easy. There is some street noise in the rooms at night including music playing from nearby shops, but that seems to be more prevalent on the weekends. The room and bathroom are well-maintained and have all the necessary amenities, including welcoming packets of coca tea. There is an electric heater in the room for nights with lower temperatures. Breakfast is made-to-order for every item, and it feels like a private restaurant experience. Eggs cooked any way are of top quality; juices are freshly squeezed; breads are toasted warm; coffee and tea are made fresh and refilled at a moment's notice; and the fruit salads are filled with copious amount of fresh fruit. Service is all top notch: homemade breakfast every morning, housekeeping at appropriate times, 24-hour service for late-night arrivals or early-morning departures, and answering questions for travellers - the hosts are absolutely warm and welcoming in every way possible. They also generously kept my large luggage in storage while I travelled to Machu Picchu for two days (coming back to stay again after), which made my trip very convenient. Again, I would recommend this to all travellers to Cusco, especially considering that the value for money is amazing.

Everything was perfect, but right at the very end, I was charged an amount that I wasn't sure if it was a service fee or something else. I was in a hurry, so I just paid it. However, if there are additional charges beyond the room rate, I wish I had been informed beforehand.

Highly recommended, I’d definitely stay here again Location is unbeatable: just a 3‑minute walk to Plaza de Armas, perfect for exploring the city on foot. Rooms are comfortable and clean, with a cosy bed and a heater available at all times. No TV in my room but honestly, with everything nearby, you won’t miss it 😄 Extremely helpful staff, genuinely some of the most supportive I’ve ever encountered. They were incredibly accommodating and even helped me multiple times late at night when Rappi wasn’t working and I needed to order food. If you have early tours (4:00, 5:00, 6:00 AM), just let them know in advance — they’ll happily prepare your breakfast earlier for you, which I really appreciated. They also decorated our room exactly as requested, which made our stay even more special.

1⃣️There is hot water and tea in the lobby, you can make your own, and there is also an electronic fire-making device 2⃣️There is a kettle in the hotel room, 2 bottles of water, and free snacks, which is very warm 3⃣️The room has a hair dryer and a bathtub. Those who like it will like it very much, but I personally don’t like it because the bathtub and the direct shower are combined, and the hot water is not hot 4⃣️The breakfast is very rich 5⃣️The hotel is not far from the block, it is very quiet at night, and it is convenient to fall asleep 5⃣️The price is right, and the overall stay is very good

Staying at Hotel Andian Dream was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in a picturesque location, the hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and charm. The rooms are well-appointed and provide stunning views, making it a serene getaway. A special shout-out to Rocio, the receptionist and tour seller, who truly made our stay remarkable. Her warm welcome and attentive service set the tone for our visit. Rocio went above and beyond to ensure i had everything i needed, from check-in to recommending local tours that perfectly matched our interests. Her knowledge and passion for the area made exploring a delight. Thank you, Rocio, for your exceptional hospitality and for making our stay at Hotel Andian Dream so special! The location is near the Plaza de Armas and is very convenient to go anywhere. The room was very clean. There is also a travel agency on the first floor. I am very grateful to the proprietress for her help. Came here for Machu Picchu and couldn’t buy tickets online. When I arrived at the store at 5:30 in the afternoon, the proprietress helped me book a bus➕train trip that would leave at 3:30 in the morning. She also asked me to run to the Hotwater Town Visitor Center as soon as I got off the train, because most people came to queue for that train. Those who buy tickets will wait for dozens more people every minute they are late. I bought the classic Line 2 at 8 o'clock the next morning as I wished, and later booked two one-day tours at the boss's house, as well as a bus to Puno in the evening.
