1. The room was clean enough for the first night, but the soundproofing was terrible. The neighbor's phone kept vibrating from around 4:00 AM. I thought it had fallen under my pillow, and I couldn't sleep from 4:00 to 6:00 AM. I had no choice but to ask the front desk for a room change.
2. The room we were moved to was in terrible condition. The disposable slippers looked freshly taken out and worn.
3. The shower head was also filthy.
4. When I checked out, the door latch was stuck! I couldn't open it. I called the front desk and waited 15 minutes. They finally brought me a screwdriver, and I was able to remove the latch myself.
5. The breakfast staff were very friendly, and the front desk lady who moved me was also very nice.
Overall, the facilities were dated and the cleanliness was questionable. The service was acceptable, and the bed was comfortable.

Overall, We love this hotel for the personal touches by the management and staff. We received a great handwritten welcome note from Dewik Idayani, the GM, upon arrival and felt a genuine sense of hospitality. The restaurant staff were particularly friendly and welcoming to us. Ambara, Matt and Wayan who greeted us every morning at breakfast with a warm smile and greeting made us feel at home with a nice chat and we felt honoured that they would remember us despite being very busy everyday. The room was cold from the air con and the bed was one of the most comfortable Marriott beds we’ve slept on, and everything is like new. Even though we usually don’t like staying too long in one hotel, the time flew by and we felt that we could have stayed here for long term due to the hospitality.

Fairfield Ngurah Rai is Marriott’s newest hotel in Bali, and it truly exceeded our expectations. For a Fairfield brand, the rooms are surprisingly spacious and well-designed — especially the Deluxe room, which felt very comfortable and relaxing. The air conditioning in the room was perfectly cold, which made our stay even more enjoyable in Bali’s tropical weather. Another highlight was how well the staff handled Marriott Bonvoy Elite members. The recognition and service were excellent, making us feel valued throughout our stay. Overall, it’s a fantastic new addition to Marriott’s portfolio in Bali, and we would definitely recommend it.

The experience was amazing from start to finish! Anggita from the reservation team was incredibly helpful in booking my room and fulfilling my requests. Check-in and check-out were seamless, thanks to the front office team Nika, Dweja and Valentino—who also took the time to explain the area. The real highlight, however, was the exceptional service at the restaurant from Sudi, Ngurah, and Sunarsih. Their hospitality was top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

Excellent price for this hotel, with very competent and helpful and kind staff. The breakfast is a beautiful buffet, very well presented and very good. The location is quite remote, it is better to have a private driver because there are not really any activities nearby. The strong point of this hotel is really the service because the staff really takes care of the customers. Bravo to the managers, the kitchen and bar chefs.
