Goya Boutique Resort

For the price we paid, I don’t think the amenities or the room is up to the par. The room is practically located underground that dug out, and bathroom and toilet door is shared on single sliding which is really odd.

Goya Boutique Resort is such a chill and beautiful spot right in the heart of Ubud. The views from the infinity pool are unreal—like you’re floating in the jungle—and the rooms are super comfy with a nice, modern feel. It’s quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to walk into town if you want to explore. The staff were all super friendly, and the food was way better than I expected. Honestly, it’s one of those places you wish you booked for a few more nights.

Goya Boutique Resort Review We had a very disappointing experience upon check-in. The reception staff insisted that we provide a voucher or booking confirmation to prove we had paid for our child’s stay — otherwise, they intended to charge extra. This was completely unnecessary, as they could have easily verified the information in their system using the name on the reservation. Instead, they demanded screenshots of the booking from my phone, which felt unprofessional and frustrating. If we had the option to get a refund and leave for another hotel, we would have done so. Eventually, they confirmed the booking — but without a single word of apology for the stress they caused. Additionally, despite arriving at 13:10, we were forced to wait until the official check-in time of 14:00. This felt unreasonable, especially given that the hotel was nearly empty during the low season — we could count the other guests on one hand. When we finally entered the room, our mood worsened. All Deluxe rooms have their balcony view blocked by a tall, unattractive fence placed right in front of the windows. It appears that this was installed by the neighboring Komaneka resort, whose villas are located just beyond it — but the result is that the view from the balcony is completely ruined. On a more positive note, the breakfast service was decent. The female waitstaff were polite and did their best to provide a pleasant experience.

We have stayed one bedroom villa at Goya. We are absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend that place! The staff, their service amazing, we definitely come back again! Thanks Goya 🌹🥰

The best place in Ubud!

The hotel rates are somewhat overpriced, but overall, it is quite decent. A major drawback: A continuous fence blocking the jungle view from the windows of all deluxe rooms negates the other advantages.
