"When I booked a room on Ctrip, I was attracted by the reviews and chose this B&B. After passing a few hundred meters of dirt road and a big downhill, I felt like I had arrived at a new world. I could see that the courtyard was carefully decorated and was in harmony with the environment outside the B&B. Far from it. The hostess of the B&B is very enthusiastic and has a smile on her face. Although the hotel facilities are simple, they have everything you need and are very clean. The B&B is right on the shore of Cifu Lake, with a beautiful environment. "This is my first time visiting Bama and was quite apprehensive about negotiating the transfer of high speed trains from Chaoshan to Nanningdong and onward to Baise after a night at Nanningdong Railway Station. The hotel's lady boss directed me how to bus from Baise to her hotel. She also gave clear information for me to provide to the bus driver on where to drop. I was surprised she was waiting for me when I got off the bus. I being a 70+ years old person, she even helped me to load my luggage on her car. She also helped me to book a car late at night for my next day trip to Sanmenhai and Crystal Palace. I absolutely enjoyed my stay here and would have extended my stay if I have not booked hotel for my next stop. She also helped me to book the return bus ticket and fetched me to the bus pick-up point at 8 am. She also refused to accept payment for fetching me to and from the bus drop off/pick-up point insisting this is part of the hotel's service. I thanked the lady boss for making my stay so pleasant and memorable. I will stay here again should I visit Bama again. I strongly recommend this hotel."

We had originally booked a hotel in the county town, but wanted to stay by the lake, so we canceled the reservation and booked Shanshuiyuan. It turned out to be the right choice."

When I was checking in at the front desk, I heard the front desk saying that the double bed room was fully booked and oversold by two. I highly doubt that this room with all the problems is usually not for sale to the public. Second, the design of the bedside charging socket is unreasonable. There is no socket on one side of the bed, which is inconvenient. Our stay far exceeded our expectations – we weren't disappointed at all! The owner and the young lady at the front desk were incredibly warm and thoughtful, constantly going above and beyond to look after us. The guesthouse thoughtfully provides a communal kitchen, so we could buy groceries and cook our own meals, saving money and ensuring the food suited our tastes. There are also tables and chairs on the outdoor corridor, perfect for relaxing, chatting, and enjoying the breeze during meals. The guesthouse has an elegant Chinese wooden cabin style, with a tranquil and refined atmosphere. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, and all the amenities were comprehensive. After a long journey, we had accumulated a lot of laundry. The guesthouse's laundry room is equipped with multiple washing machines and dryers, allowing us to wash and dry all our clothes in one go – this solved the biggest challenge for us older travelers. Parking was also very convenient, with free parking spaces both in front and behind the guesthouse. From our room windows, we could see the natural forests of Mujishan, with lush greenery and fresh air rich in negative oxygen ions. We slept soundly and peacefully every night, waking up refreshed.
