Banbury (M40, J11)

Wonderful staff, very attentive and proactive. Our parents stayed there as well and we all had a great night sleep. We specially liked the taxi booking system they had in which you push a button in reception and they tell you the taxi number and at what time is is going to arrive. They could include the opening hours in their menu as we didn’t know at what time they closed. There is no phone in your room so you have to go downstairs to order the food for it to be delivered to your room (and presumably pay there as well) The kiosk check-in wasn’t working so we had to wait for a person to arrive. The drop your card system for checkouts is great!

The stay overall was good. He had a very lovely and quiet room overlooking the Oxford canal in Banbury. The hotel is perfectly well located right next Castle Quay (main shopping centre in Banbury City Centre) There is an arcade right in front of the hotel with cinemas, restaurants, bowling, gaming meters away from the hotel. I would say the location is just great. As for the staff. They were NOT great. I believe they lack of proper training to receive, register and welcome guests.

perfect stay for a drunken night

Food great but poor restaurant service, unhelpful unhappy service. Food sat for 15 mins under food lamps but didn’t affect the taste. Not helpful when needing to get the children to bed for an early start very slow service! Breakfast came and needing to get away early 7am breakfast is ment to start and 7.10 no hot food ready! Once it was the beans were cold still and no pastries ready not worth the money when it’s not ready! Comfy bed and a lovely lady who was brilliant at checking us in and extremely helpful shame the restaurant service lets this place down.

We always know what to expect when staying at Premier Inn: super clean room, comfy bed, quiet and room to move around. It was great having a bar and restaurant to hand as this is not always the case. As for the staff, they could not have been more helpful or friendly.

Another Excellent stay at a fantastic hotel and I am so thankful to have returned! The stay was as expected quiet and relaxing and the staff are absolutely brilliant! I had the pleasure of being served by Chelsea who went above and beyond and shown an outstanding form of professionalty her manners are perfect and she caters to everyone’s needs I cannot fault Chelsea she is superb! Myself and my partner also had the pleasure of meeting and being served by Sy the chef who’s cooking is so good it’s enough to make you go back for more! And Kate another waitress with a smile on her face and happy to help with any question my partner had to ask! Chelsea and Team 5 Stars again Thankyou

Really clean and good hotel for the price. We came up from the south and it was really easy to find and get to. The room was neat and clean, so was the hallways and lobby. Even though it was near the main road and roundabout it was really quiet which was nice.

We stayed here April 24 for one night. Check-in simple, the room was great, clean and as expected from PI. The stay was let down from the kitchen. We paid £22 for breakfast for 2 adults, and had one child who ate free. The restaurant staff were fantastic and did the best they could. There were only 2 staff members on, Chelsea and a young girl with blonde hair I didn't see her name as she was too busy everywhere! They worked their socks off doing the job of probably 3 or 4 people seating guests, clearing tables, cleaning messes, trying to refill the food and crockery etc as best they could. The kitchen were way off keeping up with demand for hot food, when I went up there was only beans, hash browns and a couple of fried eggs left to choose from. By the time any bacon or sausages were put out, they were gone! Speaking to another guest in the queue for hot food he said this was their third morning here and it was the same the previous 2. If you're going to make guests pre-book timeslots for breakfast, surely you can then see how many people you have to cater for to ensure you don't run out of food when guests are paying £10.99 each for "unlimited hot breakfast". Once again, Chelsea was fantastic and went over and above to ensure my son's milk allergy was catered for safely, which is one of the reasons we stay at Premier Inn over other hotel brands.
