"The room was generally clean. The hotel doesn’t have a heating system — only air conditioners that cool, which made the stay uncomfortable during colder weather.
What really affected my experience, though, was an encounter with one of the staff members. While some staff were fine, one older lady made a deeply inappropriate and racist comment about me as I was returning to my room. There had been no real interaction between us that could justify such a remark — it was unprovoked and very hurtful. I felt extremely uncomfortable and disrespected.
No one should have to experience this kind of treatment, especially in a place meant to be welcoming. Unfortunately, that incident has left a lasting negative impression on what could have been a neutral or even positive stay."

KKazzy travelerNoise, noise noise....
I decided to try it out instead of staying in North Adelaide. I asked for a quiet room and was given a 6th floor room directly facing the big intersection at Elder Rd. Even though double glazed, the huge wall of glass did little to dampen the 24 hour barrage of truck, bus, motorcycle and hoon car noise from the busy intersection. I tried to swap to an inner atrium facing room and found they are just as noisy with noise from the downstairs bar. Doors to rooms have no door seals and the badly adjusted door closers slam them shut. I hardly slept and will not be returning.

YYYHKandMACAUThe location is excellent, right by Glenelg Beach. Supermarkets and restaurants are just a 5 to 10-minute walk away. Getting to Adelaide city center or the airport by car takes only 15 to 30 minutes.
The hotel features a bar where you can enjoy a drink and some gaming facilities if you fancy a few rounds.
While the hotel is a bit dated, it's clean and the rooms are spacious.
Breakfast was average, with limited food choices, although the view from the breakfast area was quite nice.
The paid parking isn't in the hotel building itself; it's across the street, a mere 30 steps away, so be prepared to carry your luggage.
GGuest UserNo car park attached to hotel, have to drive to car park yourself or pay $55 for a chauffeur to drive it. Room service menu was fancy stuff from the downstairs restaurant. Nothing simple. Not even room service breakfast available. On the note of the restaurant downstairs this is where the “buffet” breakfast was and I use that term loosely. Shocking variety. Even have to do our own coffees right in a tiny corner of the the room. One coffee at a time while the line gets bigger. We have to get a special order for eggs because the scrambled eggs are just mush. At least the toaster worked. And the space fits maybe 20 which is fine for a B&B but not for a 16 floor hotel. We had to have breakfast at 8 to avoid the crowds waiting at 9 and later. In the room itself (we had a suite), there were light switches EVERYWHERE. And they were all so confusing as you couldn’t see what they said. Then the one in the bathroom you had to walk in and close the door to access it. No fan ventilation for showers. Bath mats being so thin gets immediately soaked after one shower. No face washers. Bench was too low for a bathroom. Hand towels way too low. The size of the bathroom was nice though and the shower pressure was good. TV remote didn’t work properly, could not find all amenities like coffee, tea, fridge even etc. No nice hotel guide folder to help us out. The “desk” was the tv cabinet when there was plenty of space in the lounge area to have a desk. Then we had a balcony with no chairs or table to sit at (can easily have some out there and bolt them down for safety). The temperature stuff don’t even get me started. Uncomfy beds and flat pillows. I ended up sleeping on the lounger as it was more comfortable.
I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great. The staff were nice though which was a nice change

GGuest UserI very much liked the central location of this hotel close to major tourist attractions as well as its friendly staff. I had a very nice, convenient room with a great view. I liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room, TV, great wifi connection and the sauna in the hotel. Thank you!

GGuest UserThere is a small corner kitchen in the room with complete cooking utensils, the room is comfortable, and the mattress and pillows are very comfortable. Appreciate the leaflets of many surrounding activities in the hotel. Opposite the hotel is a supermarket and a restaurant. There is a beautiful lake and a library nearby. There are many bus lines downstairs, and it is close to the Mawson Lakes campus of the University of South Australia.
GGuest UserIt was ok, but not more.
The two most important things for me in any hotel are a comfortable bed and a good shower.
the bed was great but the water pressure in the shower was very poor.
Aside from that, there were other issues that I would not expect from a hotel of this standard, carrying the prices it does.
The TV power button did not work, neither did any of the top buttons on the remote.
Once I turned the TV on at the GPO and then on the actual TV itself, I was unable to use the connected DVD player as the buttons to switch to it on the remote did not work.
Breakfast was quite poor. Basically cereal or scrambled eggs with a few other options such as fruit cups, yoghurt and biscuits.
It served my purpose being close to the convention centre, but I doubt I'd stay there again.

OoH ricE mediaExcellent Stay at Stamford Hotel Adelaide
I had a wonderful stay at the Stamford Hotel in Adelaide. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the city, just across from the ****** and railway station, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. It’s incredibly convenient with easy access in every direction, whether you’re heading out for sightseeing, dining, or business.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. This has become my go-to place whenever I visit Adelaide, and I’ll definitely continue to stay here in the future.
Highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe loved our stay at the Rydges hotel, the ambience, the service, the service providers and the entire crew were lovely.Being a first time in Adelide, the visit was made superb by the amazing experience we got from the hotel. Their rooms are clean, amenities are excellent, rooms are spacious, views are scenic and it is cvonveniently located to any major plae you would like to visit. I loved how generous their compliments are, including the fridge with merchandise that would be essential in the middle of the night or so! It was also fairly priced and we loved our spa and pool sessions.
If you need to relax and unwind in a well hosted environment in Adelide, do'nt hesitate to make a booking. I will definitely book them if I have to go back.Thank you😊😊😊😊

TTracy McCourtI have stay at the Links hotel quite often without any issues, but this time was different. I booked through a booking website for 2 adults and 3 children, for 2 nights. First night was ok, came back 2nd day after going out for a while, aircon had been turned off, cleaners came in when we asked them not to, made 2 beds and left the double bed, didn’t clean anything at all and only left 2 towels.
When I questioned the receptionist she said I only booked for 2 people for the 2nd night. And she was quite rude , yet I had confirmation on my phone otherwise. The booking company sent thru only 2 people for 2nd night. They got it wrong and I had no apology from her or any explanation of why the room was “cleaned “ like that . I’m not happy about it and doubt I’ll stay there again! 😡
