The biggest benefit of traveling in the off-season is that you can stay away from the crowds and have a quiet vacation. Compared with Chenjiapu Village, Xikeng Village is more suitable for relaxing. Located deep in the mountains, the entire village has no shops, and people live a very primitive and simple life.
However, the rooms are anything but simple. They are stylishly decorated, and the amenities are all high-quality, so you don't have to worry about basic living conditions in the mountains.
The owners were incredibly welcoming, allowing us to experience many mountain activities, such as rice harvesting and hiking. Adults and children alike had a great time.
As for food, it's definitely not the luxurious cuisine of a five-star hotel, but there are homemade wontons and homegrown vegetables—simple yet satisfying meals.
Overall, if you're tired of the hustle and bustle of big cities, experiencing the slow pace of mountain life here is fantastic!
