Hotel Schweizerhof Basel Reviews

Our first time in Basel and we chose Schweizerhof after reading through the reviews. The proximity of the hotel to Basel SBB station is a plus point. Had a nice surprise at the room size n the design of the room. Enjoyed our hotel stay and would recommend this to other travellers too. Location is good with the tram n buses running in-front of the hotel making going around easier. Would hope to come back in future after the hotel complete its upgrading.

Conveniently located, right next to the train station with good access to trams and the bus to the airport. The room was spacious, the breakfast was decent, and the staff were curtious.

Hotel Schweizerhof location is excellent, only 2 minutes walk from the Main Train Station, and the city tram station is just in front of the hotel. They also provide us a free city tram bus ticket for our stay which is a bonus. We just slide our luggage onto the tram and then get off at the pier, only 15 minutes ride, to embark on our river cruise, so convenient. The staff is also nice and recommended restaurants to us. 👍👍

Take bus No. 50 from Basel Airport to Basel Train Station. The hotel is right next to the train station, making it very convenient to travel. The front desk gave me a city transportation card when I checked in, which allows me to ride the city's buses and subways for free. The breakfast was rich, and the room was not big but had good sound insulation. The only drawback was that the ground would vibrate when the tram passed by.

The room was clean and tidy, and the service was excellent. The front desk helped me contact and coordinate the lost luggage at the airport and allowed me to check out one hour later.

Lovingly run, traditional hotel in a prime location. Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff. I had a room with a balcony and a view of the train station, thank you very much.
