Basel Backpack

The front desk staff member was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was available for an additional charge. The room itself was very quiet and included a private locker, clean washing facilities, and a separate bathroom.

I stayed one night in Basel because it was my layover on my way from Paris to Zermatt. The staff were very kind, and the facilities were fine! There's even a hairdryer. There's a room with a cat, so if you have a cat allergy, you should contact them in advance. I love animals, so it wasn't a problem for me, but they didn't explain it at check-in, and when I got to my room, there was someone with a cat. It seems that the cat owners aren't just staying temporarily, and women in particular are more likely to end up in that room, so it might be a good idea to contact them. At check-in, I received a pass for unlimited rides on Basel trams and buses, which was really appreciated. It's a short walk from Basel station, but the road is paved, so it's easy to walk even with a large suitcase.

They provide free towels upon request, and it was cleaner than I expected, and not bad. However, the lack of heating made it so cold at night that I had to wear a padded jacket to sleep.
