Although the room dates back to 2016, it's in great shape overall, and the bathroom is incredibly spacious! Breakfast was also excellent; they even served Shin Ramyun, which I've never seen at other hotel breakfasts! The hotel is quite close to Weihai Park and the 'Big Photo Frame.' However, a notable drawback is that water tends to overflow easily in the bathroom, making the floor quite slippery, especially if you're wearing shoes. Getting to Hanlefang requires a taxi, and traffic can get very congested during dinner hours.

Yuyu-dearingFacilities: The facilities are very complete, and the slippers are of particularly good quality.
Service: The staff at the front desk, both the male and female attendants, provided excellent service. I wasn't feeling well, and the front desk even brought me brown sugar ginger tea. They also gave me a bottle of water when I checked out.
Hygiene: Everything was very clean, and I slept comfortably.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Weihai.

Here's my objective review of this stay.
Pros:
1. Upon check-in, a staff member helped me with my luggage from the lobby.
2. My child lost a toy accessory in the room during our stay and we couldn't find it. When checking out, I asked the staff to look for it again when cleaning the room. In the afternoon, the hotel informed me that they had two teams search for it and finally found it. I'm very grateful, and they even helped arrange for it to be sent back to me with payment on delivery.
3. During one of the cleanings, they left two extra bottles of water and a note, indicating they noticed formula milk powder in the room and that more water might be needed for mixing it.
4. The male staff member in a black suit I met in the hallway and the female cleaner I met the next morning greeted me very politely.
5. During breakfast, a very tall manager and other service staff saw me with my young child and proactively offered to cook the noodles longer and even brought them to my table. When I mentioned that the yogurt was gone, they responded and refilled it very quickly.
6. The room has a great view, offering panoramic views of the beach and the pier.
Cons:
1. There were no Little Prince children's amenities or daily yogurt, which I had read about in other reviews.
2. The non-smoking floor was a joke. There was always a smell of smoke in the hallway, and there was an ashtray full of cigarette butts on the windowsill in the hallway right in front of our room. After I moved it to the trash bin near the elevator, a few hours later, a plastic box full of cigarette butts had replaced it in the original spot. After I reported this to the hotel, their only response was that the guest across the hall was smoking in the corridor and they had aired it out, with no other action taken.
3. The provided baby bed rail couldn't be fixed securely and was ineffective. At our request and prompting, they brought ropes to tie it down (at the previous hotel we stayed at, the bed rail was already tied and secured before our arrival).
4. During the mid-stay cleaning, they didn't notice clothes dropped on the floor, and the duvet was just folded haphazardly. However, they did proactively drain the water from the bathtub.
5. The hotel room card could open a door leading to the beach, but we weren't informed about this. We only found out from a passerby.

This is Weihai's State Guesthouse, and as expected, the location is excellent. The room facilities were surprisingly good; we even got an upgrade to a room with a partial sea view, which was fantastic. The hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic – from the lobby manager and front desk to the floor attendants, the friendly doorman, and the restaurant staff – everyone demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a genuine passion for service. It's clear the entire hotel is incredibly well-managed right now! Our stay was extremely comfortable and added significant positive emotional value to our trip. This is definitely a hotel we'll choose again next time we visit Weihai.

Guest UserFirst, the good points: the breakfast was excellent, and the location is absolutely superb! You step right out to the sea, and the view from the window is fantastic!
Service: The service was great. They provided fruit daily, and even offered late-night snacks (though I only redeemed it once, it was truly amazing!). When ordering takeout, a robot delivered it to my room, which was a fantastic experience.
Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean. A big thank you to the cleaning staff who worked hard every day!
There were a few minor drawbacks, but they didn't detract from the overall excellent experience:
1. We booked a Business Seaview Room, which should have been on floors 16-20. However, when my family checked in earlier, they were given a room on the 15th floor, right next to the elevator, which was quite noisy. This might have been because my family checked in about 10-20 minutes early and the room wasn't ready. But later, they upgraded us to a Family Twin room, which was a nice little upgrade, and I'm very grateful!
2. I felt the 'seaview' was more of a partial seaview. I couldn't find corresponding photos for the room when I booked. Perhaps the 'Scenic View Room' offers a more direct seaview, but this was still very good.
3. When we checked out, around 12 PM, they called to ask if we had checked out. This was a bit strange because we had left much earlier. However, these are minor issues that didn't affect the overall experience.
4. I hope they will provide clearer descriptions for seaview rooms in the future, especially for partial seaviews. PS: I absolutely love seaview rooms! I've traveled to many cities and almost always choose a seaview room.

Aifei3I wish I could give it ten stars! I'm so incredibly satisfied. The service was excellent, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The cleanliness was good, and I have to mention that the bed and pillows were super comfortable. What a pleasant surprise! The location is just perfect. Although Weihai is a tourist city, this was my first visit, and the experience was fantastic. Everyone I encountered, whether for dining, accommodation, or transportation, was polite and courteous, never hurried or impatient. I truly love this place!

Very comfortable! I really enjoyed having a king-size bed all to myself. The mirror with the light was great for makeup, and there's a full-length mirror opposite the coat rack by the entrance, which was perfect for checking out my outfits and taking full-body selfies. It was really good.

The in-room amenities and toiletries were all very clean and thoughtfully provided. Despite being an older hotel, the service didn't feel outdated at all. My experience was excellent. The location is right next to Liugong Island Scenic Area, making it very convenient for getting around, and it's also not far from Weihai Park, Hanlefang, and the train station.

Guest UserOur recent trip to Weihai included a stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Weigao, and I must give a huge shout-out to Alisa at the front desk. She was incredibly warm and welcoming throughout our interaction. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, taking just a few minutes to complete all the formalities. She immediately offered us their signature warm cookies, which instantly helped us shake off our travel fatigue. I had several questions about seaside attractions, parking fees, and breakfast times, and Alisa patiently and thoroughly explained everything. She even wrote down recommendations for local seafood restaurants, which was a lovely touch. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to a commercial area and the beach. Our room was clean and airy. Alisa's professional and thoughtful service significantly enhanced our entire stay, with attention to every detail. I'll definitely seek her out again on my next visit to Weihai.

The room was spotless, the service was excellent, and breakfast offered a generous spread. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel is perfectly situated directly across from the beach and a pier, with plenty of great bars and cafes in the vicinity. In the evenings, we enjoyed dining on the beach while listening to music, and even witnessed the most stunning sunset. There's also the popular San Shan Tian, an internet-famous cultural and creative shop. My entire experience was truly delightful.
