"The reception staff are friendly and helpful. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the train station and light rail station for the airport. The breakfast is good. We came back after away for the 3-day Norway in a Nutshell tour. We left our suitcases in the hotel storage room while we were away and travelled relatively hand-free."

"Located just besides the train station, very convenient if you are doing the Bergen-Flåm railway trip. Room size is adequate for 3 nights stay. Free coffee is available at lobby. Laundry service is available free of charge at sister hotel (Grand Hotel Terminus) next door, 1 washer and 1 dryer. Breakfast spread is adequate, only one or 2 hot items changes daily. Gym is very well equipped. Overall a very pleasant stay at Zander."

"Great location, near both bus and train station and with 5mins walk to Supermarket. Room are clean. Breakfast is fully nurish with all kind of food and drinks. All the staffs are very good and can provide good travel information."

"Great stay! The room very neat and clean. The hotel was easy to locate and well situated. The lounge area was very nice and even had free coffee. That was the best. Walking 3 flights of stairs with a heavy bad was a bit challenge after a long flight. All in all, great stay!"

"Overall, wanted a hotel chain that was not involved in anything controversial and had good sustainability records. This hotel was authentic and built in the early 20th century and best of all had Scandinavian/Norway roots which is what I was looking for! The hotel was in an excellent location in a city centre and it was easy to walk everywhere, the train station, the taxi from the airport dropped us off right outside the hotel, the funicular and museums and wharf were all within 10-15 minutes away. Many shops and restaurants are nearby too. The breakfast was good, a range of fresh jam and the bread was of good standards. They had a nice cinnamon bun and waffle, so it was good to try their authentic snacks. They had melon and fruits as well with a selection of cheese, I liked their brown cheese the best personally. The welcoming hotel lady 'upgraded' us to a nice room with a view of the Bryggen Wharf and beautiful mountains, quite similar to the view you would find in the breakfast room too. It was a clean, spacious room with soft bedding which made it a comfortable stay. There was some noise from the main road which the reception warned us about as it is close to the night activities but thanks to the blacked out curtains and our deep sleep we didn't get affected by it. We had the option to change if we wanted but we were happy with it. The only downside I would say is the singles beds were together for the room as we thought it was double but it was very comfortable though and we had a good sleep. If it was stapled together it might be better so it doesn't move when in the edges. All in all, a friendly hotel in a perfect location."

"I stayed at a very nice, clean, and modern hotel. The facilities are convenient for travellers, with a microwave and fridge available for use, which made things really practical. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great for getting around. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and I’d definitely recommend it to others."

"For a tourist without car, it is in excellent location, 7 minutes to railway station to/from airport on foot with luggage n railway ticket just cost nok44 , walking distance to cable station to Floyen mount or Bergenhus or Ferry pier and shops. I reserved a small room but got a room of good size with windows and sofa. There are supporting staff in reception always and they can help me for my enquiries. They can provide electrical kettle at request. Coffee is free in lobby. Breakfast is also good , simple with good choices. I will reserve it if I will visit Bergen again."

"great check in experience. Hotel is gorgeous. bar closes at 00.00, but there are drinks/snacks available for purchase. Rooms are spacious are super comfortable. Has all the needed amenities. Very very close to the airport on foot: less than 10 minutes."
