Staff was overall friendly upon check in. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable enough with two standard pillows (I'd bring my own next time). Bedding was very dated, but clean and comfortable. Surroundings were nice and quiet. Bathroom was strangely large (lots of empty space between toilet and shower/tub) which made a smaller bedroom area, but good for wheelchair access.
Beautiful view of the lake a short walk away and short walk to the major restaurants and shops.
Our room had a mostly empty tissue box, but we brought our own so no big deal. No AC which is ok during the winter, but it did get hot really fast with the fireplace on. Unfortunately opening the windows resulted in the room smelling like burned firewood from outside (people possibly using their firepit or fireplace in the surrounding area) in the evenings which made it hard for those sensitive to smells. The rooms did have fans available, which helped. Overall no frills, but nicely maintained. Good place to get away.
