Ilunion Abando Bilbao
"For a four star hotel, it left much to be desired. We couldn’t change the temperature of the AC, couldn’t reach the front desk or concierge on the phone, didn’t have any shower gel, shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom and didn’t have anyone helping us with bags. Besides the front desk checking us in quickly when we arrived, the central location and the beds being decently comfortable, there was nothing else about the experience that made it worth the money."
Poshtel Bilbao - Premium Hostel
"It's not bad, but in the long term, there are no Ebayim outlets•••"
Hotel Balneario Orduña Plaza

Hotel Palacio Muñatones
"Stayed here for one night prior to Bilbao - Portsmouth crossing. Hotel looks really good on accommodation websites, has lots of positive reviews. It has a restaurant which is useful when arriving after a long day travelling. On arrival we were told the restaurant was not open though tapas was available in the bar. The hotel is not difficult to find using GPS and is close to the ferry port. It was difficult to get inside as all gates were closed You need to ring a bell for admittance, even at 5.10pm. What is not clear from photos or mentioned in the description is that the hotel is right next to an enormous petrol refinery. The air smells very strongly of fumes meaning you really cant open windows unless you want to fill the room with fumes. The room was airconditioned but the lowest temperature was preset to 25 degrees. Way too hot for a night time temperature for me, though it may be fine for others. Rooms in the main building may be lovely but we had a room in a wooden annex. The room was large and clean with a comfortable bed and decent linen. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom which again was large with a good shower. What was really strange was there was no door separating the bathroom from the bedroom only a flimsy shower curtain! Not great for privacy. We paid extra for breakfast which was plentiful in quantity if a little dull. As we were getting in the car to leave the owner came running after us shouting that we had not paid for breakfast. I went back inside to show the booking to explain we had infact paid. I found this really embarrassing and annoying especially as the owner did not apologise for his error instead just stomped off. Admittedly there is not an abundance of accommodation near to the ferry port but I found this place overpriced and would not stay again."
Hotel Igeretxe
"The room and bed are very big! Facing the sea! But there is a restaurant downstairs and the whole room is full of smoke. You have to open the window for ventilation! I couldn't sleep for two nights because mosquitoes came in with the window open! The TV is very small and old! It is incomparable with the same price in China! It doesn't come with a toothbrush and toothpaste! The beach is not beautiful! It is recommended to stay in Bakio. The beach scenery is beautiful! You can also hike"
Hotel URH Palacio de Oriol
"Not being able to check in until 3 PM, arriving at the hotel at 11 AM, which was empty, and not even being given the opportunity to leave our luggage, made us lose many hours that could have been used to visit the city. Furthermore, if pets are not allowed in the room, this should be communicated, as we stated it was a cat and, obviously, we weren't going sightseeing with it. Despite this, the staff were generally friendly. The room temperature was far too high."
Hotel Boutique Bahía de Plentzia
"A very nice hotel with beautiful views, especially if you're facing the river! You can park for free in a dirt parking lot behind the hotel, but be warned, I was a bit surprised when I arrived because it was all metered parking!"
Palacio Arriluce Hotel - the Leading Hotels of the World
"This hotel is unbelievable! Incredible staff and service. The breakfast and lunch were amazing! The facilities are wonderful from the gym to the lobby to the rooms. Views are spectacular. The staff was so amazing! Can't wait to go back!"
Silken Gran Hotel Durango
"The hotel was very well located and was beautiful, comfortable bed and full bathroom, the only peg was that the persian did not work and you wake up at 7 a.m. with the sun on your face. But I understand that it was something specific of that room, by the way excellent."
AXEL HOTEL BILBAO ONLY ADULTS
"Fabulous stay at a great hotel. Staff were super friendly accommodating requests and making us feel welcome at all times."
Catalonia Gran Vía Bilbao
"The executive room is spacious, with a balcony, a spacious toilet, and a large sink. There is enough space in the room for two large suitcases without hindering walking. The facilities are relatively new."
Radisson Collection Hotel, Gran Via Bilbao
"Good location as it is just next to train station and metro station. Located in the shopping region. With 5 star standard. Breakfast is good. Room is clean and big."
Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia
"The hotel gives us a room with a very small window with no construction view, but it is still acceptable. It is close to metro and city center, so the location is quite good. The breakfast is a bit disappointing and is definitely not a 4 star hotel standard. The hotel seems to be quite small surprisingly…Some hotel staff is very rude but most of them are nice."
Hotel & Spa Etxegana
"Really nice hotel in a beautiful location. The interior is very cosy and the outdoor areas are very pleasant as well. Breakfast choice was rather limited, but all that we tried was of a very good quality. Food in the restaurant was very tasty as well. The only thing we did not like was the room we got. It was right over the entrance and with a view on the parking lot, which made it very noisy. Add to that very thin walls and you end up with not so relaxing experience. Parking at times was full and it was difficult to find a spot for a large car."
Hotel Miró
"The room had a view of the Guggenheim Museum. I visited the museum in the morning and in the evening in the rain. It was a wonderful view. It was a small, cozy and stylish hotel. The breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to go again."
