Browns Wharf Inn

This place is a nice quiet inn tucked across the water from the main part of the towns business and entertainment district. While that sounds like a long way apart, it isn't. It's a 6 minute drive or a 20 minute walk. This is an older property but seems to be well maintained. It has spectacular views of the bay and the town across the way. True to it's name there is a working wharf right outside your window. Its populated primarily with privately owned pleasure boats so it's not a noisy place. There is no restaurant on site, but there is one next door that was quite good. Breakfast was provided and gave you all you needed to get you day started. Parking was plentiful and free. The staff were friendly and helpful. The balcony seating area was great. I will say the bathrooms while clean and equipped with updated fixtures is quite small.

Went here with my husband, and we had such an awkward moment with this girl called Melanie (I assume she’s part of cleaning department), but she offered that type of encounter to my husband for money, this was just a few months ago and we stayed just for a few days, but I felt very scared, this is very delicate, and we didn’t want to assume it was a place with “secret services” or every other thing, but I tried to read every review and didn’t find more information about it, hope you increase security.

This is not luxury accommodations but it is immaculately clean, good towels and linens and beautiful harbor views. The included continental breakfast was good. The bathroom is very small. The television had plenty of channels. Staff was very nice.

Hotel is in a great location with wonderful water views. We had a corner room and really enjoyed sitting on the patio. The hotel room was So clean and comfortable. Nice free breakfast in the morning. Staff was friendly and professional. Defiantly would stay here again.

I hate to post a glowing review of this secret gem, but they absolutely deserve it. Beautifully maintained "motel" - I met the owner in the morning putting a fan in the elevator as they had cleaned the carpet the day before and wanted to disperse the cleaning smell. Breakfast was yummy with awesome blueberry muffins befitting their location. Wonderful balcony views of the harbor and sunset if you get the west-facing rooms. Loved our stay and will certainly return.

A wonderful sunset view looking over lovely Boothbay Harbor. If you are familiar with the journalist Charles Kuralt, he came here for many years and went fishing with Mr. Brown. This Inn is a very nice family owned and operated business. I highly recommend it.

A very clean & charming motel. Stayed here twice in 2 years & plan to return. Great views from balcony. Always a pleasure to stay here. Good complementary continental breakfast with fresh squeezed juice & fresh Maine blueberry muffins. Oh & beautiful flowers!

What a wonderful Inn to stay at. We had confused our reservation date and Diane at the front desk was extremely accommodating, funny and understanding of our situation. Balcony view of the harbor, nicely decorated, clean and delicious continental breakfast with numerous options to choose from. All the other places we stayed during the past week only offered coffee in the morning. We’d definitely stay there again.

A charming, nostalgic Inn right on the Harbor with wonderful views! CLEAN! In fact, one of THE cleanest hotels we've stayed in, and that's saying a lot! The family-owned business cares for its customers and could not be any friendlier or more helpful! The warm homemade blueberry and cranberry nut muffins are yummy, and a continental type breakfast is included, with really good coffee! In fact, once they knew we had an early morning departure to go to Acadia Park, she came running out of the office with MUFFINS as we were getting in the car!! The rooms seem a bit outdated although everything worked well -- Queen beds would be a nice addition, as would a tad more bathroom space. BUT again, the room was fine and the daily housekeeping AMAZING! The location is wonderful with an easy walk to downtown. Parking is plentiful. Our thanks for a wonderful introduction to Maine!
