The place is on top of a small slope. Its environment is calm and peaceful. Room is clean, water pressure is strong. One can sit outside the room looking out to the far mountains. Breakfast is nice especially the sofa bean drink. It is near to a bus stop and also near a convenient store. It is also convenient to watch the sunrise a short distance away from the place. Would go back to stay if there is opportunity. Thanks for hosting us.

The hotel is located near the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum. Some rooms offer views of the Southern Branch. The staff are friendly and courteous, enthusiastically recommending nearby restaurants. The hotel has complete facilities, a variety of affordable dining options, and an exceptionally clean outdoor swimming pool with views of the Southern Branch. Today, March 17th, the lifeguards were very friendly and chatted with guests, making us feel right at home. This stay was truly memorable and will be our only choice for accommodation when visiting Chiayi...

Guest UserFrom the moment we checked in, we felt such warm and friendly hospitality ☺️. The room view was absolutely beautiful~ We especially loved the room's balcony, where we could listen to the birds, gaze at the lush tea plantations, and enjoy some wine with friends while waiting for dusk to arrive – it was incredibly relaxing ❤️❤️❤️. The room was very clean, and the bed was extra large and super comfortable~ Especially the breakfast included with the stay; it was a very traditional ********* congee that made us exclaim how much we missed it! It tasted just like Grandma's cooking from childhood~ Everything was so satisfying. Thank you to everyone at 'Palms Clap' and the staff ❤️❤️❤️ We will definitely be back!

ShuxiaEnvironment is peaceful and suitable for people who drive because it's quite far away from Taiping Bridge and not accessible by public transport. So we ended with plenty of time after arrival. So we engaged a private car to chauffeur us the next day for NT3500 from Minsu to Taiping Bridge (too misty to see anything), then had lunch at Fenqihu and finally stopped at Alishan hotel. We should have stuck to original plan to just go Fenqihu for NT1000 transport fare and stay there for a night because when we reached Alishan, it was near 3:30p.m., there's not much time for us to roam the place due to the gloomy weather and heavy mist.

It's a newly renovated backpacker hostel in an old bungalow. The beds and blankets are all new and very clean. The beds are comfortable to sleep in. Because it's an old house, the soundproofing isn't very good. You can see the beautiful scenery of Elephant Mountain and the surrounding peaks outside. Breakfast is served at the outdoor tables and chairs area. It's very chill to eat breakfast while enjoying the view. The owner has a very outgoing and generous personality. You can take the bus to Alishan from Chiayi Railway Station and get off at ”Dongxiding Station”. The hostel is right across the street, which is very convenient. It's also only a 3-4 minute walk from Xiding Station on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, making it very convenient to get to Alishan. I spent a wonderful three days and two nights here.

Jessie.THighly recommended if you are looking for a chill and comfortable stay. The environment was great, quiet, and relaxing, while the owner was very friendly and helpful. The owner requested an additional TWD200 for my 5-year-old boy and kindly upgraded our room from 3 double beds to 4 double beds.
The breakfast was comforting and tasty. They also provided stationery and coloring materials for kids to draw and paint, which was perfect for keeping my little one entertained. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The owner also kindly explained the route to Alishan and even brought us to watch the sunrise, which made the experience even more memorable.

HungryHungry1Spacious room but the hotel is quite old and not everything in the washroom is the cleanest. Breakfast was provided but the selection was mediocre and the dining area was very cold. Apart from the location, I might not stay here again.

The name is very grand. From the appearance, you can see how the original owner put a lot of effort into building it. It is beautiful and some of the saunas in the facilities are great! The temperature is sufficient and the water is clean. It's a pity that the steam room is not open, but overall I am very satisfied. There is an outdoor swimming pool for swimming, an indoor gym, a children's playroom, several game consoles, etc. for use. Great!
Have breakfast at Galileo Western Restaurant, the beef soup is super recommended! Others are ordinary but reasonably varied. Afternoon tea is great! It is recommended that everyone try their afternoon tea if you have the opportunity! If you want to take a vacation, you can come here~ It takes about 5 minutes to walk to Renyitan near the hotel. The lake and mountains are beautiful, especially the sunset, which is very beautiful!

Guest UserThe hotel's hygiene was pretty good; I didn't notice any dirty spots, and the duvet in the room was comfortable and warm. However, the soundproofing in the room was really bad. I could hear everything from the toilet flushing next door to people showering and even sneezing 😂. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. It's situated lower down among a cluster of hotels and is the furthest from Alishan Station. Getting there involves walking down stairs or a slope, which means every time you go from the hotel to the station or out for a meal, you have to walk uphill, which is quite tiring 😂. Also, there's no elevator, and even though it's only three stories high, those with large luggage should be aware.

This room is basic but located at Alishan which makes it easier if you want to catch the morning sunrise. Would need to walk down if arriving by the Alishan train as there is no shuttle service provided to and from the station. Breakfast was located at another building within walking distance of the hotel. Clealiness was average and room was small but sufficient for a nights' rest
