GGuest UserThe service here is absolutely amazing! The staff are so warm, thoughtful, and incredibly patient with their explanations. When we checked in, they even gave us a hand-drawn map and went through all the routes, potential pitfalls, and must-see spots. Their recommendations for food and activities were absolute gems – we followed their advice for mochi, mung bean cakes, and the Arts and Crafts Cooperative, and everything was spot-on, way better than anything we could have found doing our own research! They were always ready to help and proactively offered assistance, treating us like friends the whole time. It felt even warmer and more personalized than a five-star hotel.
Traveling with my mom was completely stress-free; this guesthouse provided an incredible sense of security and convenience.
If you're coming to Quanzhou, this is definitely the place to stay. I'll absolutely be back for a second visit, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

ZZouzailushangdepipiThis hotel offers excellent service; the staff are all very warm and welcoming. The drinks, ice cream, and game console at the front desk were a must-have for the kids whenever we left or returned. The roasted sweet potatoes were also delicious – please prepare more! The room was very clean, with great attention to detail. The price increase during the Chinese New Year wasn't too outrageous, which was acceptable. Although the breakfast selection was limited, the ingredients were good, and I especially appreciated the separate sections for raw and cooked food. Quanzhou isn't large; a taxi ride to attractions near West Street usually takes less than 20 minutes. The accommodation was very quiet, which was a big plus.

Clean, comfortable, helpful ground staff, especially friendly customer support through WeChat - Xiao Yang, conveniently located, nice local breakfast provided in the hotel.It’s not located on the Main Street but it’s only a few min walk, which also means less noise at night and early in the morning. I’ll definitely be back again if I ever visit Quanzhou again! Thanks for hosting us!

AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent, right on Zhongshan Middle Road, very close to West Street, Guandi Temple, Kaiyuan Temple, Confucian Temple, and many other attractions – all within a 15-minute walk. There are plenty of popular spots nearby, including great food and unique coffee shops. The hotel itself is very clean, and the service is excellent and very welcoming. The only minor downsides are that, perhaps due to its downtown location, the breakfast area is a bit small and the selection isn't huge. Also, it doesn't have a full range of public facilities like a gym or pool. However, these didn't detract from the overall stay experience, as the in-room facilities are quite new. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Quanzhou.

雾雾与光的旅程Stayed at Allston Hotel (Anxi County Government Store) during my trip to Anxi and overall it was quite a pleasant stay.
The location is very convenient, close to the main road and not far from local attractions and restaurants, which makes travelling around the area easy. Even though it is near the road, the room was relatively quiet at night, so it didn’t affect the rest at all.
The front desk service was excellent. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful during check-in, and they were quick to assist whenever needed. Special mention to the front desk lady very polite, attentive, and yes… quite pretty too!
One small thing I would like to mention is that hotel hygiene could be improved slightly. There were some minor cleanliness issues in the room that needed more attention. However, what I truly appreciate is that after giving feedback, the front desk immediately arranged a change to a better room, which showed that they really care about guest experience and service quality.
Overall, the hotel offers great value for money, with good location, helpful staff, and comfortable rooms. With a little more attention to cleanliness, it would be even better. I would still recommend it for travelers visiting Anxi, especially for solo travelers or short stays.

GGuest UserI immediately fell in love with this B&B near the Bell Tower after watching a short video. I booked it right away.
The owner contacted me the day before and sent me the location and room information. The B&B is located in the city center, with twin beds measuring 1.5 meters. The bathroom and room were spotless, with smart toilets, and the decor was pleasant. Upon arrival, the owner not only sent me a few days' worth of travel guides but also recommended snacks. The small white taxi is also very convenient for getting to the old town.
There are plenty of snack shops and breakfast restaurants on the neighboring streets, including my favorite Mei Chaofeng. I also found a fresh food supermarket. They even gave me a complimentary hairpin making experience. The price was reasonable.

MMaimaixiong1980This stay was absolutely perfect, and I have to give it a glowing review! From the moment I checked in, everything was so pleasant. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and professional. Not only was the check-in process efficient, but they also proactively added me on WeChat and thoughtfully sent over detailed local travel guides and a map of authentic local eateries. This saved me a lot of trouble doing my own research and was incredibly practical. When I ordered takeout, the staff even personally delivered it to my room, so I didn't have to go downstairs to pick it up. The attention to detail in their service was truly exceptional. The hotel also surprisingly upgraded me to executive lounge access. The environment was quiet and elegant, with a great view. In the lounge, I enjoyed some rich and excellent quality red wine, which completely enhanced the relaxation experience. The entire service throughout my stay was attentive, thorough, and meticulous. You could feel their dedication in every aspect. It was definitely a stay that exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend it, and I'll definitely choose this hotel first next time I visit!

GGuest UserI've stayed at this hotel many times, sometimes booked by friends and sometimes by myself. The location is convenient, the rooms are spacious, and the design is good. The walk-in closet and separate wet/dry bathroom are a big plus. It would be even better if they had a drying cabinet for guests staying a few days to dry their clothes, though not many hotels offer this, and I haven't seen one in Shishi yet, only in other places.
I do have to complain about the hairdryer; it's inconvenient to use. It's a touch-sensor type, and you have to keep your hand on it for it to work, which is annoying. A regular hairdryer would be much better.
The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and cleaning team are all very friendly and attentive. They even offer complimentary fruit and dessert every afternoon.
The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets are all good, with a wide variety of dishes and reasonable prices. However, I have some serious hygiene concerns about a few of the breakfast chefs. I found plastic in my peanut soup, not just once but in two consecutive bowls – lucky me? Over two or three days, I saw certain chefs picking their teeth and nose with their bare hands, without washing them or wearing gloves, then touching food directly. One even grabbed spring onions and cilantro for noodles with his bare hands. Although it wasn't for my dish, it was still disgusting. I also saw a chef tap a spoon twice on the wall without cleaning it before continuing to stir-fry. Their masks were pulled down to their chins, making them pointless. I had planned to complain about him, as it wasn't a one-off, and I even knew his name from his name tag, but my friend talked me out of it, saying it wasn't worth getting someone fired. So, I let it go.
This hotel is rated as the number one luxury hotel in Shishi. Is that just a false reputation? True virtue and integrity are essential for long-term success.

Llaipeng123Half the joy of this short trip came from this hotel! Its location is perfect – tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet convenient for sightseeing, allowing you to enjoy peaceful downtime. The hotel environment is super comfortable, with greenery tastefully sprinkled throughout the public areas, creating a wonderful ambiance. The room was cozy and spotless, with soft lighting design; it was so relaxing to curl up on the sofa and binge-watch shows at night. The front desk lady was incredibly thoughtful. For breakfast, there were freshly made noodles and authentic Chinese pastries that tasted amazing, and even the coffee was freshly ground. The hotel also offers small drinks, and enjoying the breeze and scenery in the evening was incredibly therapeutic. The service was consistently excellent, with every staff member wearing a smile, making you feel incredibly welcome. This hotel has definitely made it onto my 'must-revisit' list!

GGuest UserAfter further experience, it seems that this place is typical for this area at this price range. So I guess I got what I paid for. But still, I was significantly disappointed by the lack of cleanliness.
The lobby seemed clean and new, but after that, the elevator, hallway, and room were disappointing. And although this room was a bit cleaner than a cheaper room at a different hotel nearby, the floor and bathroom were still noticeably dirty. There was a stain on the bedsheet, which I don’t doubt was perfectly sanitary, but still added to the impression of it being dirty. There were some free condoms and lube in a container near the bed, which made the place feel even more shady and unappealing.
Besides those things, it was fine. The breakfast on the top floor (you have to go up a set of stairs to get to it) was ok, though quite simple, Chinese-style breakfast items.
Overall, it was tolerable, and from experiencing a few other hotels later during my stay, I came to see that it’s hard to get anything much better than that for that price range. I paid about $28/night for this place. If you want a clean place to stay, you’ll probably have to pay a decent amount more money, probably more than $40.
