The first time I lived in Taoist Temple, it was very fresh. Yi Daochang was very patient and attentive. He gave us guidance all the way. We bought tickets from the station (guests can enjoy the preferential price of 80 yuan / people including tour bus during the stay, great value) and went through the relevant procedures. Take the car to the top palace. According to the guidance of Yidao Chang, I quickly found the check-in room. After I checked in, the selected room was the only photography room that could open the door and see the mountain. Due to the recent rain in Changzhou, when I came, I caught up with the time period of the cloudy mountain and the fairy air floating on the mountain. The cloud mountain mist has a feeling of being in a fairyland. Although the visibility is not high, it has a flavor. We booked a meal of 150 per person a day in advance. Four dishes and one soup. The rice is basically not enough and it is free to continue. We ate Maoshan's famous goose meat and steamed salmon. Two vegetarian dishes are a large bowl (small basin) of seaweed egg soup. We ate very delicious. It feels very good. After eating at about 7:30, Yidao Chang also arranged a night tour for us. The cultural history is floating in a fairy spirit. It really feels like being in a fairyland (remind everyone that the temperature on the mountain is generally lower than the mountain, and you must bring warm clothes or you will catch a cold). We also booked the head incense at 12 o'clock in the evening in advance. This is a benefit that accommodation customers can enjoy. It is really superb and the price is super high.
The next day we also drank the highest altitude coffee in Jiangsu Province, with plain noodles, and it felt really good.
I took a few photos of good visibility before checking out. I really recommend everyone to have the opportunity to experience it. It feels super good. We will come again next time.

dr3amieOne word to describe this hotel: AMAZING. A beautiful, clean and luxurious hotel sitting just across the road from the Yangtze River. The tranquil and serenity enveloped me the moment I stepped out of my ride immediately relaxed every cell in my body. The staff are amazing, they actually made it a point to remember which room I stayed in. Got an upgrade and wow, the room was just amazing.
They had a very wide breakfast spread for us to choose from, from the usual english breakfast to Jiangsu's traditional noodles. Be sure to ask for their baby lobster noodles and big bao, just super yummy. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant the 1st night and tried the delicacies they had. Puffer fish and what they called 长鱼, were really very yummy too.
I really, really, highly recommend this hotel should you want to visit Zheng Jiang. I'll definitely be back again.

Fantastic location, right at the west entrance of Xijin Ferry Scenic Area. It's super easy to get to by taxi. You've got Chunshunhe right next door, Feiquan is right next to that, and Yong'an is just across the street diagonally. The room facilities are complete, and the mini-bar drinks and snacks are complimentary. The air conditioning works great too. The service was excellent all around; they confirmed my booking in advance and even gave clear directions. The front desk staff also recommended some really good local food. The room itself has a lovely antique charm. However, there's no elevator, which was fine for a second-floor room. The little shop downstairs sells trinkets, but the constant 'clucking' of the chickens was a bit annoying for my travel companion. I'd definitely stay here again next time – highly recommend it!

Despite our late arrival, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient during check-in. They even thoughtfully upgraded our room and provided complimentary warm milk to help us sleep. The room itself was very comfortable, the mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the excellent soundproofing ensured a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious, offering a great variety of choices, and the service staff were courteous and attentive. In the afternoon, the front desk proactively offered us a complimentary late check-out, which was incredibly thoughtful! Overall, an absolutely wonderful experience!

The price is really good for off-peak travel. From the moment we arrived, the hotel front desk provided us with meticulous service with a professional and enthusiastic attitude. Not only did they patiently select a comfortable room for us to ensure that we stayed at ease, but they also carefully introduced the beautiful scenery and characteristics around the hotel, which gave us a deeper understanding of Zhenjiang. In particular, the tourist route planned for us by Xiao Zhang at the front desk was so thoughtful! I was deeply impressed that she took the initiative to contact us when something accidentally fell in the lobby. Your enthusiasm and professionalism made us feel the warmth of home and made this trip more memorable. It is our luck to meet a front desk like you who serves with heart! I am very satisfied with this stay experience. There are many parking spaces, and there are places with popular snacks around. The room is also clean and tidy. The waiters I met are all warmly greeted. It is a happy and satisfying experience.

Tomoko M 0926Members of staff at the hotel, including receptionists, are very nice and friendly, welcoming my arrival, greetings 'Hello' every time with big smile on their face.
My stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.
HOWEVER, there is only one small problem.
When you book a room, please check very carefully if the room you are booking has a window or not. On the Trip.com site, it says; 'Has a window' 'Partially has a window' 'A fixed window' or something like this. Not only see some photos of the rooms on the website, but also carefully check if the room you are booking surely has a window or not.
When I checked-in, I was told that my room had NO window. It was O.K. if you were in your room only to sleep, because the room is large enough, clean enough and comfortable enough. Nothing is wrong with the room itself at all. However, I found on the following morning that I could not see how the weather was like until I actually went outside, because I could not see outside from the window.

Anonymous UserFirst round of mini-bar: complimentary orange juice, Coke, Sprite, beer, etc. Nice! 👍
Trip.com Gold Diamond service: We stayed consecutively with executive privileges and complimentary breakfast. The executive privileges included a happy hour from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, which we didn't attend. However, we did go to the executive lounge for two afternoons to work on our laptops, where they offered coffee, hot tea, juice, fruit, and cookies and cakes. There was an auntie who picked out pears 🍐 by touching all of them, and my husband joked it was like shopping at a wet market, so we mostly just had coffee ☕️ there.
Hygiene: Very clean, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered beautiful high-altitude views! My son wanted a bath 🛁 so we requested a disposable tub liner. On our first night out, we were bitten by poisonous mosquitoes, and the hotel even provided repellent. Upon check-in, we had four breakfasts for two days and wanted to adjust it to three on the first morning and one on the second, which the hotel happily accommodated. Overall, the service was 5-star and very satisfactory.
Environment: Absolutely towering, it's a landmark building in Zhenjiang. No matter which attraction you visit, you can always see the hotel building. Downstairs is Suning International, with popular tea shops like Cha Yan Yue Se and Ba Wang Cha Ji, which is very convenient. We ordered bubble tea several times, and robots automatically delivered it to our room. The lobby is on the 57th floor, ☝️ above is the hotel, and 👇 below are office spaces. Overall, it feels very upscale.
The Zhenjiang High-Speed Rail Station is also not far, about a 9-minute taxi ride. It's a small station, not very crowded. I recommend entering through the North Entrance, as it's much less crowded than the South Entrance. So, you can time things very precisely, unlike Shanghai Hongqiao High-Speed Rail Station, where you always have long queues for security checks.

Guest UserMy stay at Sheraton Zhenjiang Kanghua Huili was absolutely perfect! The location is fantastic, within walking distance of Zhenjiang Station, and right next to Wanda Plaza, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The lobby has a grand, high ceiling, and the crystal chandeliers create a wonderful ambiance. The room was clean and spacious, with Sheraton's signature bed that was just the right balance of soft and firm. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Carrie Wang at the front desk was warm and attentive, handling check-in efficiently and with great attention to detail. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the local 'Guogai Noodles' were authentic and delicious. The heated swimming pool had clean water. Overall, it offers great value for money and is my top choice for business trips or tourism in Zhenjiang. I'll definitely be back!

GlenysMGreenTree Inn, Jurong (Jiangsu Province) is an oldie but a goody! I stayed there for 5 nights in late August/early September (2025). At first glance I was a bit dubious, but it turned out to be a really great place to stay. I felt very safe there and in the neighbourhood (day and night) and would stay there again.
Excellent customer service ..… the Reception and cleaning staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The first room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke (no thank you!), but I was immediately moved into a nicer smelling room, which was absolutely spotless, quite large, and had a nice new smart tv, air con, an opening window with a flyscreen and security bars (essential for a ground floor room), nice solid furniture, pure white linen (impressively imprinted with “GreenTree Inn”) and a clean, comfy doona and pillows. A standard hard’ish Chinese bed, but I find them quite comfy.
The old carpet runner along the length of the long ground floor hallway (where my room was) is a relic from way back when, but it was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the hotel that I could see.
The shower head needed fixing, but that’s an annoyingly common problem in pretty much every budget > mid range hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in China.
The hotel is only about 20 metres from Jurong Chongming Subway Station. Local bus stop almost at the front door (& across the road). The entrance to the old cobbled road (no cars allowed) & all its little shops is across the road at the lights, and a large pharmacy at the entrance (near the “archway”). Electric scooters galore to hire (via the AliPay or WeChat apps) outside the subway. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance once you get past the trades shops (plumbing supplies etc).
My only gripe about GreenTree Inn Jurong (& this is a gripe I have for many hotels etc throughout China) is that smoking is allowed on the premises. I think it’s the worst it’s been since 2002 when I first started travelling to China. It’s awful walking into foyers and lifts that reek of cigarette smoke, and copping wafts of the smoke along hallways from smokers in their rooms (& ashtrays at lift entrances), and horrible arriving tired after a long flight and long trek from airports etc, only to discover you then have to request a room change to escape the smoke, and start all over again. No matter how accommodating the staff are, I could easily do without that hassle and the horrible smell.
In my opinion, hotels etc in China need to up their game where that’s concerned, and follow the lead of the many countries which have banned cigarette smoking in all public buildings (including hotels), all public indoor and outdoor spaces, anywhere near children and shopping centres, on and near public transport etc etc etc.
