Guest UserWatching the Milky Way from inside a desert tent was an amazing experience! We played in the sand and went sandboarding during the day, and enjoyed a bonfire and fireworks display at night – the atmosphere was incredible. The owner was very punctual with pick-up and drop-off, and the ability to shower in the desert was a pleasant surprise. The photos were amazing, I'll definitely come back!

WeibusiThis was my first time in Zhongwei, and my stay at this hotel was fantastic! First off, the hotel's location is super convenient, and it has its own parking garage, which was great for us since we drove. Plus, it's a new hotel, so everything was really clean. The breakfast selection was quite varied, and the room facilities were clean and well-equipped. They even offer dinner every evening, which is more of a light meal, but the snacks like noodles and fried dumplings were delicious! What really stands out is how affordable the hotel is, especially for such a great environment – it felt like incredible value for money. And every single staff member was so friendly. Overall, a perfect stay. I hope they keep up the good work!

It's worthy of being called Xipo. The service and the room are so good.
Taking advantage of the off-peak season, I came alone to experience the Yellow River Homestay. Each homestay has a different decoration style. I chose Xipo on the recommendation of my friend and was very satisfied. The facilities and services corresponding to this price are really worth it. The price of two nights in the off-season is equivalent to the price of a normal night. The hair dryer is Dyson, and the toiletries are all from the laboratory. There are also beer + drinks in the mini bar, freshly ground coffee, and freshly made bread (forgot to take a picture). The sea salt rolls are super delicious, and the scones are also good, not sweet at all, which suits my taste.
The whole homestay is very quiet, close to the Yellow River, and there are trails. If there are many people at night, you can drink, eat barbecue and watch the stars by the Yellow River.
The service of private butler Xiaoying is really excellent. She will contact the guests about three days before you check in and help arrange some matters, such as car pick-up, introduction of food, drink and entertainment nearby, food, drink and entertainment in Zhongwei, and travel photography needs. She will also recommend it. After check-in, she will also take meticulous care of the guests. She deserves 100 points. Such a niche place is highly recommended for family and couple travel. If you go to Zhongwei, you must stay at Huanghe Suji to experience the local traditional customs.

Guest UserThis hotel, part of the same group as Heshantou Hotel and located very close by, offers superior facilities and service. Maintaining high standards in a desert environment must come with significant operating costs, and Diamond Hotel is a prime example. Housekeeping not only performs basic cleaning but also meticulously cleans windows. The butler service chat is incredibly responsive and attentive to every request. The breakfast and dinner buffets are also excellent, with the hand-grabbed lamb chops being an absolute culinary delight! It felt like there were more staff than guests.
The advantages are obvious and don't need repeating; other reviews cover them in detail. The only inconvenience I found was the complete lack of laundry service! There's no clothesline in the bathroom either, and no drying rack on the terrace! When you're exploring the desert, you really need to wash clothes. With only 29 rooms at the Diamond, could they consider guests' laundry needs? Even a few shared washer-dryers or simply installing some clotheslines would make a huge difference.
While the hotel hasn't been open for long, maintenance could be more meticulous. For instance, the door handles, the stargazing chairs on the terrace (they looked a bit dirty with sand in the crevices), the sink drainage was sluggish (likely due to sand blockage), and the showerhead kept swiveling to one side.
Overall, it's still the best choice in Zhongwei, especially for those with a penchant for cleanliness! However, the value for money during holidays is definitely on the lower side!

Wxt37ong&#R2Everything about this place was a pleasant surprise! The courtyard-style architecture is quiet and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. I could enjoy the beautiful Yellow River scenery right from my room. The cleanliness was excellent, and the room's interior decor was unique and stylish. But the absolute best part was the service. Since the hotel is managed by the Shapotou Scenic Area, I received a discount on the entrance tickets. The room rate also included three meals, and what really surprised me was the high quality of the food. There was no sense of them cutting corners just because it was part of a package; the dishes were plentiful and delicious. And every staff member in the courtyard was outstanding – a huge thank you to them! They genuinely put a lot of effort into making sure everyone loves both the courtyard and the Shapotou Scenic Area. It wasn't just the courtyard staff; other staff members at Shapotou were also excellent. They advised me on the most efficient way to explore, saving time and effort. Plus, all the activities in the scenic area were incredibly fun. Personally, the food, accommodation, and activities were all delightful surprises. I hope to come back with my family next time and stay for a few more days.

Guest UserI absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.

The room environment feels comfortable, the hotel is in a good location, and the transportation is generally convenient. Duoduo at the front desk said that there is Hengdian Cinema nearby. We went to the snack street in the evening, which is not far from the hotel and can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The room is comfortable and sanitary, the front desk and room attendants are happy to provide all kinds of help, the facilities are very smart, and the price-performance ratio is good. It is the first choice for next stay.

The hotel has its own parking lot. From the front desk to the room attendants, they are very enthusiastic. They help us carry our luggage and send bottled water... The guest room, bathroom, and sink are very clean and tidy. At night, the dishes are of good quality and the price is very affordable. After dinner, the four of us talked about the hotel and agreed that it was a great hotel.
I went to the hall this morning at 7:10 to use early, but let us not understand, 7 o'clock began to early, when we went, each basin leftovers leftovers of soup, staple basin leftovers leftovers, nest head..., drinkable porridge and soy juice a little, enter the hall door 1 person sent a boiled egg (The first time I met boiled eggs at the entrance of the evening hall), several waiters were busy cleaning the table. It turned out that more than 100 group tourists had just started to use the cockroach at 6:30. Ask a waiter to add food? She said no. We don't understand: Trip.com Online booking introduces the breakfast standard of 48 yuan/person. Is the hotel providing such a breakfast? Can it be worth 10 yuan/person? How much is the standard for a group of more than 100 people? After the group is used up, should individual customers eat some leftover soup? If there is no food store around, we will not use it here early? Moreover, the dishes and services ordered last night were very good. Why would the breakfast of 48 yuan/person be like this? The hotel should give an explanation. I don't know which project should be reviewed, so I ordered one in the facilities: very poor.
