Traveling with a child during the holidays, we chose this hotel. Even before checking in, we received a WeChat message from the concierge with a comprehensive mini-guide, which was really helpful. The hotel itself is excellent; it's very quiet, perfect for sleeping. They provide kids' toiletries, all in single-use packets, so you don't need to bring your own, and they're very safe. On the second floor, there were some fun activities for children over the past two days, like Yellow River-themed painting, which my child absolutely loved and found very engaging. The hotel breakfast is also great, featuring local specialties like 'Haozi noodles,' and it runs until 11 AM, so no need to rush in the morning. In the evenings, on the third floor, they offer complimentary fruit and congee. If I didn't feel like going out, I could just take my child there for some congee and fruit. Overall, the stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend this hotel.

From the moment we booked, it was clear this would be a top-tier desert experience. 🚗 Seamless Transportation: Smooth to the point of being touching Before our high-speed train even arrived, our butler had already arranged for our pickup. As soon as we exited the station, we saw a driver in a neat uniform holding a sign. The car was a powerful off-road SUV, and inside, ice water, wet towels, and snacks were thoughtfully prepared – these small details instantly erased our travel fatigue. There's a stretch of desert driving from the station to the hotel, and the driver specifically took us on a 'desert rollercoaster' ride, which was exhilarating yet safe, and our child shrieked with delight the entire way. Upon departure, it was even more impressive; they drove us all the way to the airport departure gate, and we didn't have to touch our luggage once, truly experiencing the luxury of 'hands-free' travel. 🏨 Room Facilities: A Sparkling Diamond in the Desert The moment we opened the door, our whole family gasped in awe. The floor-to-ceiling glass window framed the continuous sand dunes into a flowing painting. The room was incredibly spacious, with smart home controls throughout, and the bedding felt like sinking into clouds. A Dyson hairdryer, premium toiletries, a complimentary mini-bar fully stocked with imported drinks and snacks, welcome fruits, and a handwritten card showed incredible thoughtfulness. The most amazing part was lying in bed at night, opening the skylight, and seeing the starry sky directly above – this feeling of sleeping under the desert stars is unforgettable. 🏜️ Scenery: Every View is a Screensaver The scenery here is beyond words. In the early morning, stepping out, you're greeted by a gentle desert sunrise, with the light painting the sand golden; in the evening, lying on the hotel's exclusive terrace, you witness magnificent sunsets and evening glows; late at night, we listened to professional explanations in the stargazing valley, clearly seeing the Milky Way and the Big Dipper. The entire hotel is like a work of art growing out of the desert, with stunning shots at any time and from any angle. 🐫 Activity Arrangements: Fulfilling and Thoughtful The hotel's activities were so abundant that we never had a moment of boredom. Our butler arranged our itinerary in advance: early morning desert hiking to identify plants, camel riding across dunes in the morning, thrilling dune buggy rides in the afternoon, and a bonfire party and stargazing lecture in the evening. The biggest surprise was that they secretly arranged a desert candlelight dinner for our wedding anniversary – rose petals, champagne, exclusive service, so romantic it brought tears to our eyes. The infinity pool was equally surprising; playing in the water in the middle of the desert with dunes behind you – this contrast was incredibly captivating. 🍽️ Buffet: The Flavors of Northwest China on Your Tongue Breakfast and dinner can almost be described as 'luxurious'. For breakfast, freshly pulled beef noodles, steaming hot Mugwort noodles, and fresh lamb offal soup – both Chinese and Western options were excellent. The dinner buffet was king-level; unlimited Ningxia Tan sheep meat, hotpot, BBQ – all available. The meat was tender with a milky aroma. There were also freshly shucked oysters, various seafood sashimi, and an exquisite dessert bar. Chefs cooked on-site, and servers cleared plates very promptly. Every meal was so delicious we ate until we couldn't move, and the taste definitely rivaled high-end restaurants. 👩💼 Staff Quality: The Soul of the Hotel The most touching aspect of this trip was the people. From butler Xiao Yang to dune buggy driver Master Ma, from the front desk to every lady in the restaurant, they always wore genuine smiles. When my wife had mild heatstroke, the butler delivered medicine and mung bean soup in the middle of the night. When our child's clothes got dirty playing in the sand, the housekeeping auntie immediately helped wash and dry them. They remembered every guest's preferences, not with mechanical politeness, but with the sincere care of old friends. This genuine warmth is absolutely the pinnacle of the Chinese hotel industry. If I had to summarize in one sentence: Diamond Hotel made the desert feel like home, and turned travel into a truly moving experience. I'm already planning my next stay. Friends, go for it with your eyes closed, you definitely won't regret it!

With the high temperatures in Suzhou and Hangzhou, this is a great escape to the heat in the northwest, featuring a lovely guesthouse village. Nan'an is the largest guesthouse complex in the area, with 40 rooms out of a total of 100. This time, we stayed at Taojiaying West House, with a swimming pool in front and a farm/ranch/ranch in the back – very pleasant. The room details were also very well done, suitable for large families or groups of friends. Both restaurants in the village are good for breakfast: 🌻Xiangke (more variety), 🍜Lao Wang Ji Breakfast & Midnight Canteen. Special praise to Nan'an's management team, including Da Yuan and her group; they communicated with us before our arrival and were very attentive. During our stay, our drone got stuck in a tree in the yard, and the management team helped us find a solution from evening until morning, finally fixing it with a tree trunk over ten meters long. - Climb the Great Wall (five-minute climb to the top) for panoramic views of the Yellow River and the village. - Feeding lambs, riding camels, milking goats. I call it the Yellow River version of ”Wuzhen Village”; the entire village has an integrated design with a Mediterranean feel, perfect for photos.

This hotel is excellent in every aspect! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the facilities are new, and all amenities are well-stocked. The service is great, very responsive, and particularly attentive. They offer free parking, which is fantastic for those traveling by car. Overall, the experience was superb and well worth a positive review!!

Overall, this hotel is quite worth staying at. I really liked the hotel's design, ambiance, and facilities, and the room was also good. I booked a room with a hot tub, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, the service and management were clearly weak points. On the day of check-in, the hotel was fully booked, and the lobby, which isn't very large, was crowded. When we first arrived at the parking lot, there was only one older gentleman working, and it took a while to find someone to help with luggage, clearly indicating a staff shortage. During check-in, there wasn't much proactive information provided; staff only told me things after I asked. Compared to other hotels of similar standing I've stayed at before, there was a noticeable gap in service professionalism. The restaurant gave a similar impression. The staff's attitude wasn't bad, but the service felt inexperienced. The food itself was generally mediocre, though the beef skewers at dinner were surprisingly delicious 😂. Interestingly, some of the older staff members around the hotel were very diligent, constantly cleaning and bustling about. So, my feeling after staying wasn't that there was an issue with staff attitude, but rather that the hotel's staffing, training, and management haven't kept up with its excellent facilities. This is quite a shame because the hotel itself is really well-done. What deserves special praise are the hotel's activities; the explanations were very thorough and professional, and this part of the experience was excellent. Coupled with the desert environment and the starry sky, I think it's still worth staying for those who come specifically to experience the desert. If you only look at the design, room, cleanliness, and overall environment, I really like it. If the management and service professionalism can be improved later on, the overall hotel experience should be much better.

A very new hotel with larger-than-life rooms and beds that feel like apartments. The location is midway between Shapotou and Zhongwei City, so it may not be ideal for some looking for nightlife, but there are several inexpensive restaurants in walking distance, so it's easy enough to get food. The bus stop of number 2 going to the city and the sand dunes is 5 minutes walk away - just time it right because there's one bus per hour in each direction. There's Chinese-style breakfast included which may not be for everyone but it was filling. Definitely worth the money! Had a blissful rest here and would go back.

Watching the Milky Way from inside a desert tent was an amazing experience! We played in the sand and went sandboarding during the day, and enjoyed a bonfire and fireworks display at night – the atmosphere was incredible. The owner was very punctual with pick-up and drop-off, and the ability to shower in the desert was a pleasant surprise. The photos were amazing, I'll definitely come back!

The room environment feels comfortable, the hotel is in a good location, and the transportation is generally convenient. Duoduo at the front desk said that there is Hengdian Cinema nearby. We went to the snack street in the evening, which is not far from the hotel and can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The room is comfortable and sanitary, the front desk and room attendants are happy to provide all kinds of help, the facilities are very smart, and the price-performance ratio is good. We don't understand: Trip.com Online booking introduces the breakfast standard of 48 yuan/person. Is the hotel providing such a breakfast? Can it be worth 10 yuan/person? How much is the standard for a group of more than 100 people? After the group is used up, should individual customers eat some leftover soup? If there is no food store around, we will not use it here early? Moreover, the dishes and services ordered last night were very good. Why would the breakfast of 48 yuan/person be like this? I absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.
