YYangmiemie777The hotel is located right in the heart of the city on the bustling Tunjungan Street, with restaurants, malls, and convenience stores all around – super convenient!
It's a century-old building with a lot of character, definitely worth taking some photos. The room itself is quite spacious, but the facilities are a bit dated. It doesn't affect usability, though. Being an old building, it naturally feels cool; even without AC at night, it was quite chilly. Also, the slippers provided have very thin soles, so I recommend bringing your own.
Service was excellent. We had to leave at 5:30 AM on our departure day, and after informing the front desk in advance, they kindly prepared breakfast boxes for us.

Kkenskistaying at Kampi for staycation during Christmas holiday. near TP and Tunjungan Street (you can walk, just around 5-10mins walking distance). there was Apsari Park and a lot of food stall from local seblak, fried rice to Burger King, McDonalds, etc. there was one pub/club just across the street from Kampi. the room was quite spacious, though they had no bathtub. first thing first, they provided each roomi with android TV, so you can stream your favorite show on netflix, prime video, etc. definitely will be back here for another short vacation.

Llily_830110On a business trip to Surabaya, I was lucky to find a relatively new hotel at a reasonable price. The room was decent, not too small for two people. However, I was really dissatisfied with the service. In the evening, I realized our room only had two bath towels and no hand towels, so I called the front desk to ask for some. The staff member who came asked for dirty towels in exchange. I explained I didn't have any dirty towels to give, I just wanted extra hand towels. The staff member said it wasn't allowed, claiming hotel policy states a room can only have two bath towels, and any additional ones would be charged. What??? I've stayed in so many hotels, and this is the first time I've heard of such an absurd rule. In the end, we had to make do with just the two bath towels. The front desk later called me to say they only had bath towels and no hand towels either... Additionally, the hotel provides two bottles of drinking water, and any more cost money. The room itself was acceptable, but the service is far from what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. I hope they can improve.

When we went to our room, we noticed a smoke smell, so they changed it, and the next room was good. Even though the hallway smelled like smoke pretty bad.
Bed and pillows are good. Shower is good. Enough space to place your things.
The pool is nice, there are table and chairs but no beds unfortunately. The pool is on the first floor so it’s mainly in the shades. The gym is small.
Breakfast was okay, lots of options like pancakes and waffles. But the coffee was terrible. Nobody could drank it. We asked for a new batch but it didn’t come.
It’s close to malls and other restaurants, but you have to cross a busy street.

GGuest UserI really need to complain about the cleanliness. This hotel had four pillows for two beds, and one of them actually had urine stains on it! It smelled strongly of urine. I went to the front desk to ask for a replacement, but it never came, so I just threw it on the floor – it was unusable! Also, the water quality at the hotel was really bad. I brought my own filter faucet, and the filter element ended up black. I'm so glad I used it!
They saw I was staying with a child for two nights, but didn't offer any extra slippers or toothbrushes, which other hotels usually do proactively.
Furthermore, our room was on the 7th floor, and it happened to be a Sunday. From 4 or 5 AM, there were prayers, which were extremely loud and made it impossible to sleep. I asked the front desk to change rooms, but they said all the suitable rooms were full and there was nothing they could do. In the end, we had to endure it for two nights. 😓
On the positive side, the hotel's buffet was quite good. There were also some local specialty snacks that I tried. And the swimming pool was an infinity pool with a nice view. However, it was mostly local children swimming, so the adults didn't go in. The gym was also very well-equipped.
It was very convenient and close to the largest shopping mall in Surabaya. Downstairs was also a pedestrian street. After dark, there were many places to eat, as well as cafes and bars. It was a nice area to explore.
Overall, it was barely acceptable, but some basic standards should be upheld. Urine stains on a pillow are simply unacceptable; it definitely means the pillowcase wasn't changed! I hope the hotel can improve.

HHarryIDSGAffordable, modern and clean. Shopping mall is literally next door and selection of eateries are available in the surrounding. The building looks new and therefore modern and clean, however the room lacked soundproofing, you can hear any noise from the corridor and the surrounding rooms. Lobby is on the second floor, was confused when we reached. Parking is very limited, we were fortunate that we got spot to park, my guess you won't be so lucky during weekend or busy days.
Staffs are nice and helpful. Very near to the train station which is one of the primary reason we chose to give this hotel a try.

II live to travelHotel staff not so warm and friendly. Some do not understand basic english. I was left standing for no reason. Only when i asked what am i waiting for, someone “jumped” in and served me.
Room was ok. Comfy bed. I slept well. But towels are were old with frayed ends. Gross.
Location is less than 10 mins to Tunjungan Plaza, a popular mall. Traffic is mad so crossing the road is challenging. No bottled water but rooms have pitchers to fill up water from Dispensers outside rooms. Good initiative.

(+) Located in the city center, convenient access to many tourist spots in Surabaya. There's Indomaret next to the hotel, which makes it convenient too. Wisata Rasa, a recommend place to buy edible souvenirs (like almond crispy), is also nearby.
(-) I expected very walkable distance to Tunjungan Romansa, but it is apparently further away than expected. Still walkable but will take quite some time, and only walkable at night. Walking in the day is not very feasible due to Surabaya hot weather.

(+) TV, desk, 3 electrical outlets, wardrobe with hangers, storage cabinet, safety box, air dryer in the bathroom, and electric kettle are available. Water gallon for refills is available outside the room.
(-) The lights in the room are dim, which makes the room unsuitable for work. Toilet issue is of low quality. No fridge. Cuttlery are provided with charge.
🏨 Hotel Facilities
(+) Great breakfast with various options, including local delicacies like lontong balap. There are board games, mini pool table, and foosball. PCs are available in the lobby, not sure if it works though. Can store luggage in the receptionist after check out. Toilets are available in the lobby.
(-) The hotel only gives 1 access card per room, even if I book a room for 2 people. Was excited to see congklak game but apparently the seeds weren't enough.

(+) Friendly staffs. Could ask for extra towel. Could request for specific housekeeping cleaning time.
