New and nice hotel. We arrived night due to late freight but keep waiting for check in due to system update. No drink/water to wait even asking for.

My second day at Crowne Plaza Penang Straits City was just as enjoyable as the first. The hotel’s modern design and new, upscale feel make it a great place to relax. The room remains clean, spacious, and comfortable, with all the amenities I need. The service continues to impress—friendly, efficient, and professional. The location is also convenient, making it easy to explore the area. Loving the fresh and contemporary vibe of this hotel. Definitely a solid choice for a new and modern stay in Penang!

Brand new hotel, with comfortable beds and great rooftop pool! The room was very good with dressing room area, great shower and clothes steamer, which was an excellent extra. The breakfast has an excellent choice and very good. However, the food in the restaurant in the evening although tasty it was served lukewarm and disappointing. There was a minor issue with electrics, which was dealt with quickly and excellent customer service from the staff. Although the hotel is new and good value, the area is up and coming, the stay was good and would recommend.

Overall, the hotel staycation was a great experience. The hotel is new with a modern design, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. However, one downside was the parking fee of RM6, which was charged after checkout when leaving the hotel.
