The room is large with fireplace heating, jacuzzi bathtub🛁shower🚿small amount of water (Asians still like to take showers). There was no breakfast, so I bought bread 🥖butter in the supermarket in town, toasted it in the kitchen, and made coffee ☕️ (see the picture). Check-in day arrived at 7:30 pm (the boss went home and left the key 🔑 in the mailbox) ), there are shops around the hotel. For dinner, I found Mexican 🇲🇽pizza (so delicious) which closes at 9:30. In the morning, I drove 🚗 to the castle reception center for about 12 minutes (remember to book a tour online to take the bus 🚌 up the mountain)

Classic historic boutique hotel. I stay here every time I come to the Cambria area. Rooms are always clean, all the rooms I have stayed in have separate bedroom and living room. A two-minute walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. Their daily happy hour (including with your stay) is terrific--appetizers, mixed drinks/cocktails, wine.

We really enjoyed our stay. The happy hour was lots of meeting and visiting with other guests. The complimentary drinks were great along with pizza. The room was very big and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

We rented the family suite for a girls' weekend. It had one king and two queen beds in two bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable. We were concerned that the suite had only two bathroom for six women, but it became a non-issue. The Rigdon House is charming and welcoming and within steps of shopping and dining in Cambria. We definitely would stay here again!

Our stay was amazing! The room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. We loved our stay and were so busy exploring the town that we forgot to enjoy the wine and apps the hotel provides in the late afternoon. We heard there was music on Friday evenings as well. Overall, 10 out of 10 for us!

We love the Rigdon House! We have stayed there often. The staff are always nice, the rooms are lovely and clean, the happy hour is great. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite on this visit, which was a wonderful surprise. The only issue at all was that the bathtub was extremely slippery, without a handrail, but that was minor.

It was a good stay. They are remodeling some rooms and our suite part hadn't been done yet. The location was great. We peeked into some other rooms and they were quite nice. Very quiet, cleanetc.

We arrived really late and after hours. Power was out and it was pitch black inside and out. Still, place was beautiful, staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future.

We stayed here to break up the long trip to San Francisco and to visit Hearst Castle. We wound up loving this town. The hotel, which is in an historical building, was a stand-out for its nightly happy hour, its quaint charm, fire pit behind the main lobby, and ease of access to local shops and restaurants. Cambria is divided into two main areas, one which is the area around Moonstone Beach and the other, the town proper, which is a bit spread out with 2 different centers. The hotel was on the edge of one of the town centers. Shops tend to close at 5 or 6, so I really appreciated happy hour at the hotel--especially our concierge for the first night (I didn't catch her name but there were only two, her and a man). She was so efficient and helpful, made excellent drinks, and just created a really fun and relaxed atmosphere. The room where we stayed was clean, pet-friendly and big enough for the whole family, including the kids and grandma; coffee, tea, and other essentials were freely provided. The only problem we saw was with maintenance: there was mold of the window sill, and there was a gap between wood slats on the floor.

We arrived at Happy Hour and Natasha was making up signature cocktails! Fabulous!

Staff was wonderful, great accommodations. We would definitely stay at Rigdon House again.

Really excellent and quirky property. Super friendly staff, unique room that was just right for our needs. We all agreed it was a great stay.

Our room was wonderful. Big sitting room overlooking the street with comfy couches. Bed was super comfortable. Good sized bathroom. We would definitely stay here again. Christian gave us a full tour when we checked in and a bottle of wine for my birthday. We would definitely stay here again.

This is really a jewel, our room was amazing, very big, clean, and welcoming. When you enter in the Rigdon House you feel at home. We organized with the personnel our late check-in and we found all we needed once we arrived (keys, documents, and even a map). We really loved our stay here!
