The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. The location was good in terms of visiting the Caverns. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room is clean and fresh. The front desk is nice and helpful. The included breakfast saves a lot of trouble. The surrounding area is relatively convenient, it is easy to drive to Walmart or restaurants, and it is less than 30 minutes' drive from Carlsbad Caverns.

Good hotel, a little bit on the older side.  The room wasn't huge, but when we travel we don't spend too much time in the room.  Very convenient location to go to Carlsbad National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park.  Overall, the city of Carlsbad seems a little bit more expensive than some of the other towns, but I was told that is because of the oil workers, I don't know if that is true or not.  The breakfast was good, the shower was hot, and the bed was comfortable.  Would stay here again.

I've seen the major growth of this hotel in the last year and what a difference from the previous owner till now. The hotel is clean, the staff is very professional and what a complete 360 turn around in the year of new management. This is by far one of the better hotels in Carlsbad. Great job to April (AGM) and  her staff...this place is going places.

All in all a very good experience.  I would suggest requesting a room on the back side as the traffic noise on the street side was noticeable.  The facility is clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast was good.  The location was good for access to Carlsbad Caverns National Park,
