We had an amazing spa day as a group of 5 ladies for my birthday treat. We arrived at Cowley and walked the grounds first which was a great start to the day. We then went down to the spa, Charlotte and Ellie at reception couldn’t have made us feel more relaxed and made sure our day ran smoothly. The spa was very clean, tidy and peaceful! Olivia gave me the best back massage I’ve ever had, it was incredible!

Lovely visit to Spa for birthday treat with family. Fantastic welcome and service in spa Superb facial resurface and renew , my skin really did feel like new Followed by a lovely relax and lovely relaxing swim, in fabulous indoor and outdoor pools. Spotlessly clean and really well looked after premises, with wonderful staff who couldn’t do more for you. All topped of with Beautiful unspoilt well manicured surroundings. Great place for a real treat .

What a fabulous hotel. I went for an early morning swim indoors then outdoors and felt I was in the lap of luxury. I would highly recommend a visit. The grounds are beautiful, I sat in the lounge for coffee and croissants overlooking the lake with the hills and fields in the distance. It set me up for the rest of the day.

A stunning setting for a wonderful spa day. Such good value as includes a 2 course lunch. We fell asleep during our treatment, it was so relaxing & got to enjoy the outdoor pool (heated) when the sun came out for a bit. I understand the pool is opened at certain times of the day for children of members or guests to swim in- so if this may bother you, avoid these times. We did not encounter this- it was very peaceful & we felt very relaxed

Cowley Manor is an exquisite property which reeks of England’s rich history. The listed property is complimented by bespoke bedrooms , a spa , indoor and outdoor pool , cocktail lounge , bar and Restaurant . The gardens and surrounds are breathtaking and the location in the heart of the Cotswalds ideal . You are paying big bucks for the experience so you expect first class at every level . Whilst the staff were helpful and engaging we had a nice room in the new part of the building which was not advertised . It was a little raw and unfinished with a strong impression of being a bit rushed before completion . The lighting was poor and access to the new rooms difficult once it was dark . This aspect needs a lot of improvement . The bar menu needs to offer more than a club sandwich . The Restaurant was good without being great although breakfast was very good in terms of options .

It’s hard to put into words how disappointing our spa visit was. This is barely a spa. It’s two pools and a higgledy piggledy shop/reception with an extremely weird assortment of things and a changing room so small that we had to wait for our turn to enter and dry off/change because it was crammed with about 5 women. There are literally over 40 lockers but space for 3 to sit down. Crazy. Our biggest disappointment was the terrible attitude of the space staff. Worst I have ever encountered. From the moment we walked in they made it clear us being there was a huge inconvenience. Ordering food was an inconvenience. Ordering drinks a pain. Four young ladies standing around giggling and gossiping and yet the photos I attach shows you the appalling state of the bathroom. No towels collected, no hand towels replaced. Finger marks everywhere and gross shower area. Never has there been a place I’ve been so hyped about and been SO let down. What a waste of time and money :(

We spent 2 nights at Cowley Manor with Mr & Mrs Smith which included breakfast. We were unexpectedly upgraded from a Wildflower room to a Petite Cowley room (21) in the main building at the front. The room was huge and really nicely appointed. Free Wifi throughout the hotel, flat screen TV, tea/coffee facilities, safe, hair dryer, sofa and chairs. The bathroom was also very spacious indeed. The hotel is really nice and the grounds are huge to walk and explore. We had the champagne afternoon tea which was excellent and also dined one evening as well which again was superb. Yes it is expensive but I think the quality and service warrants the cost. Breakfast was also very good (0730-1000). Basically a buffet with a variety of homemade produce. The croissants were some of the best I have ever tasted! You can also have a variety of cooked items should you wish. Spa facilities were very modern and an indoor and outdoor pool (both heated) are nice touches. There is also a games room with a pool table and darts board and a fantastic bar and loads of outdoor seating. The staff were also excellent as well, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful setting, staff eager to help but..:.the cost vs product is way off. I ordered a vegetarian burger for…£16!! It came with no sides whatsoever. That’s extortionate. It just feels like a hotel that’s been 70% finished but not quite had the final touches to warrant the price tag. The spa is lovely but again, you can see the areas that have been upgraded and those that haven’t. If anything it makes the latter more obvious. New decor isn’t to my taste but that’s personal. It’s a manor hotel in the Cotswolds but it’s been decorated with a Palm Beach/retro 60s vibe that I can’t help think is going to feel outdated in that setting in a few years (if not already). I would go back for an - overpriced - coffee on the terrace and maybe a swim (I live locally) but I definitely wouldn’t eat there again - and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends in the area, sadly. Barnsley House, Calcot etc all deliver better quality for a more ‘reasonable’ price.
