Mantu Hostel (Chengdu Chunxi Road Tianfu Square)

It's a quiet spot within a bustling metro station, just a ten-minute walk from the Chunxi Road subway station. The room was spotless and tidy, the bathroom shower was well-designed, and there were smart toilets and wet wipes provided, which was a really thoughtful touch. The staff was warm and courteous, the lobby was bright and spacious, and there's a rooftop garden outside for relaxing and enjoying a drink—it was so nice! It's on a high floor with a great view, and it was very quiet at night. The hotel sign is right on the main road, making it easy to find! Living in the heart of Chunxi Road, this "universe," makes everything so convenient. Highly recommended, haha...

The hotel is conveniently located near the subway and offers excellent facilities. The room was bright and spacious, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The staff were friendly and engaging, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I loved the stunning view from the room, and after dark, I could sit in the garden, enjoying the breeze and chatting. It was truly relaxing.

Everything else was good: the service, hygiene, and facilities were all excellent. However, the formaldehyde concentration was problematic. After my one-night stay, my entire body was terribly itchy, and it's still itchy a day later. I also had white pimples on my face, which I'd never seen so many of before. It was really depressing.

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here. Facilities: The hotel rooms and common areas were very clean and looked very new. Free tea and water were available in the lobby, and there were vending machines for self-service drinks. Cleanliness: My biggest concern with accommodations was the cleanliness of the bathroom, shower, and room. The bathroom was spotless, and the dressing table and sink each had a powerful, easy-to-use hairdryer. The toilet had a smart, automatic flush, and the shower had waterproof clothing storage. The toilet and shower were separated, with separate wet and dry areas, and there was no odor at all. The bathroom had a constant floral scent, perhaps lily (I'm not sure). Environment: The men's and women's areas are opposite each other, completely separate, which was a great touch. The cleaning staff was also female, so women didn't have to worry about anyone of the opposite sex entering. Service: The front desk staff, both male and female, were very professional and helpful. From the moment you check in, you're guided to your room and bed. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and politely asked if the room needed cleaning. The room was cleaned and the bed made daily, and the hotel provided a complimentary bottle of mineral water every day. Finally, I personally think this youth hostel is excellent in every way. The hotel is very close to Chunxi Road Exit E (subway station), a five-minute walk to Taikoo Li, and you can see the IFS building from your room window. 🥰🥰 If you're a solo traveler like me, I highly recommend choosing this youth hostel; you won't regret it!

Facilities: Excellent, brand new, spacious rooms with kitchens. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, with excellent restrooms and showers. Environment: Interesting design, with pandas, bamboo forests, gardens, koi fish... You can even snap a photo of a panda's butt from your room. Service: The front desk lady was friendly and pleasant, and the hostess was also very attentive. Cons: The entrance is a bit difficult to find; you have to go through the backyard parking lot of Jincheng Building to enter, so it's worth checking carefully for your first time!

This is seriously the best hostel I've ever stayed in! The lobby was stunning upon entering. It was so exquisite, with small vases and candles on the tables, and a beautiful bar. There's a small outdoor garden outside, so relaxing to sit and enjoy the breeze. The best part is that you can actually see the IFS panda's butt from your room! It's so worth it to be able to check out this iconic landmark without leaving the house. The sheets and quilt were spotless, the mattress was incredibly comfortable, the curtains were great for blocking out the light, and most importantly, the environment was so quiet! It felt like home, so comfortable. The front desk lady was also so kind, helpfully telling me about nearby food and fun things to do. I'll definitely stay here again!
