I had a wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza in Chengdu. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially Nico Bao. The all stuff making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hotel is located in a great location, right in downtown Chengdu, which made it convenient for me to explore the city and visit different places. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was also excellent, with a wide selection of tasty dishes. I would definitely choose to stay at the Crowne palza Hotel again on my next visit to Chengdu.

The hotel is situated at good location and walking distance to chunxi road. The hotel staffs are professional and polite. However, the room was not at best condition; some of the power plugs were unusable, the fridge was not cool and the air conditioning was not cooling. In addition, the toilet bowl was located at an awkward position.

The room was very nice and the desk staff are very approachable. They helped me call the cleaner when I noticed the toilet seat had not been cleaned. However later I also noticed a hair on a folded towel and other long hair left on the shower floor. It was not a thorough cleaning job but I do believe the rest was cleaned. I went to enjoy the hot spring, which needs a code for the women's door. But found out that the door was left open anyways and other guests were in the hot spring and using their phones. I wasn't comfortable to fully enjoy it because those rules are not followed. Also the shower area of the hot spring had a strong urine smell. It's really a beautiful hotel but needs more supervision or instruction for cleaning and hot spring rules. The snack bar looked really good and is open late.

Very nice hotel for its value. The hotel located in the center of Chengdu. There is a huge public hospital nearby and every is very close. Staff and front desks are very helpful. One thing I don’t like is smoking smells. Even in nonsmoking rooms they have lighter and ashtray prepared on the desk. I don’t know why? But other than that it is great place to stay with the price it offers.

It was pure joy to stay at the Dorsett Chengdu. The hotel is situated very conveniently next to the metro entrance and it is one of the main lines in Chengdu. I could easily travel to the main attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful. The lavender pillow that I requested did not smell like lavender at all, but it was a nice touch to my stay there. The bath is really small and I think they could have utilized the space in the bathroom better. I could not straighten my legs in the bathtub. The room was spacious and spotless. I will definitely stay at the Dorsett again when I visit Chengdu in future!

Excellent service and attendant. Stayed in club suite has the privilege butler Mr Stanley to attend to all my needs and care when I was unwell during my stays. Excellent level of service and amenities as you would expect for a 5 star hotel. We spent 4 nights here. Really great attitude from all the staff. I wasn’t happy they requested a full deposit on top of the Trip.com deposit, but the manager spoke English and gave a fair compromise. The hotel is showing signs of ageing now (Feb 2024), but everything important seemed very clean and well kept, towels were plump and bright white, bedding also, kettle, coffee machine and utensils all spotless. Great to have a Nespresso machine; they give you 3 capsules a night along with some good tea. The breakfast was excellent, and they kept the coffee flowing, but note their advice about timing because you will be queuing after 9am. There were two negatives for us: the bed was way too soft, and the room temperature was too warm on the lowest setting (in winter), so we didn’t sleep well. Overall, considering we only paid 899 a night, we thought excellent value, but if we were to stay again they’d have to offer another room with a firmer mattress.
