GGuest UserI have only positive things to say about this hotel and recommend it to anyone who is staying in Chongqing, especially those who want to explore the Shapingba area and/or be close to the Shapingba train station. It's about a 10 minute Didi/taxi ride away which made my commute really easy. I highly, highly encourage anyone to stay at this hotel!
1. It is newly opened (I believe October-December of 2024) and so it is very clean. It literally sparkles! Housekeeping is really good at keeping the room neat and tidy, which you can see from my pictures. I felt very comfortable staying there and of course, the decor was very nice! There is no smoke smell in the room due to it being newly opened.
2. It is a very quiet hotel. It is only one floor (floor 1 is technically the second floor on top of the lobby) to my knowledge and the other guests are pretty quiet.
3. The laundry room is extremely nice. It is very clean (no moldy smell) and the washer and dryer are separate, so it is very effective. There are two washers and two dryers and they provide laundry detergent and also an antibacterial wash if you need it. The laundry room is on the third floor and requires taking a different elevator to get there. Furthermore, the laundry room is in the same room as the gym but there isn't any heavy laundry smell that will disrupt your workout. There are also sinks, an ironing board, and a steamer (if I recall correctly) in the laundry room for all of your needs! The laundry machines are also quite advanced in the sense that you can adjust the temperature if you want; for example, I dried my clothes on low heat. Basically, all of the amenities are nice.
4. Finally, I have to say that the service provided by this hotel is top-notch. You can communicate all of your questions and such to them on WeChat and they reply promptly and so nicely. I checked out at around noon and a few hours later, while en route to my next destination via train, I texted them asking if they had seen a charger or anything of the sort left in the room as I had this feeling that I'd forgotten something. Not only did they reply immediately, but they even sent pictures of additional things that I'd forgotten, such as my slippers, that I didn't even think of. They helped to arrange a kuaidi (courier) to deliver my forgotten items to my next hotel and even helped arrange for express delivery so I could get it as soon as possible. They didn't charge any extra fees for this; all I did was pay the delivery fee for the courier. And when I couldn't track the progress of my order (just foreigner things), they sent me screenshots every time I asked for updates. Another time they helped me out was when I took the wrong elevator and was having trouble getting back up to my floor; I contacted them on WeChat and someone came to help me right away and explain what to do!
This is a truly wonderful hotel with really caring staff. I highly recommend staying here!

The facilities are state-of-the-art and incredibly comprehensive. They truly have everything you could possibly need, even anticipating items you might not have thought to pack. It's exceptionally comfortable. What's even better, the mini-bar is incredibly well-stocked and complimentary.
## Cleanliness
Spotlessly clean. Not a single hair could be found on the bed, and there wasn't a speck of dust on any of the surfaces or cabinets. The shower floor was so clean it practically sparkled.
## Ambiance & Location
The ambiance is pleasant, and the location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Perhaps because my room wasn't on a very high floor, the view wasn't spectacular, but it was still quite nice.
## Service
I can honestly say it lives up to its reputation as Chongqing's finest; the attention to detail is truly exceptional. Even before arrival, they inquire about your pillow preference. Upon arrival, everyone from the concierges and front desk staff to the housekeeping aunties were incredibly warm and welcoming. The detailed service truly stands out. For instance, when ordering takeout, a concierge personally delivered it to my room very quickly and with genuine willingness. Another example: when housekeeping cleaned on the second day, they neatly coiled and organized my charging cables. Furthermore, when calling guest services for laundry, there's no scripted small talk. They immediately recognize who's calling and genuinely ask how they can assist you. This personalized, warm approach cuts out all the unnecessary, insincere formalities you often find, which was a delightful surprise. Honestly, after experiencing such service, other hotels might feel a bit of a letdown! Haha.
## Minor Points
Of course, there were a couple of minor points: it seems hotel rooms are in high demand, so a late check-out might inconvenience the next guest's arrival. Also, the pre-arrival communication, while good, could potentially be even more proactive. However, these are truly minor quibbles and barely worth mentioning.
## Summary
In conclusion: for those who prioritize exceptional service and a comfortable stay, Regent Chongqing is an absolute must-try – you won't be disappointed. It truly felt like a home away from home.

AAsion88Facilities: Complete and smart. The Ctrip video room is fantastic, with an overhead shower and quick warm water. The Wi-Fi is also very strong, and the elevator is very fast.
Service: Friendly and attentive. Even when I couldn't find my way, the hostess called me to pick me up. Check-in was very fast, and they even asked about my stay. It was excellent.
Location: Right next to the cable car, with the Eye of the Clouds upstairs and Metro Lines 1 and 6 just downstairs.
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. The sheets are changed after each guest and looked spotless. The night view is fantastic, with views of the river and the city. I forgot to take photos before leaving, but here are a few night view photos. Treasure Hotel

Near Jiefangbei and the river to enjoy the beautiful night lights and views, also near Hongyadong cave and Arhat temple is just downstairs from the hotel. Honestly location is 10 out of 10. The room is clean and nice, the service is great and we couldn’t have stayed in a better place. We would come back here for sure and recommend to any visitor the place, also great views of the city because you stay very high.

LLuangritivutiThe hotel location is marvelous at the central of Jiafangbei area and close to all restaurant and shopping center. The staff were very nice at front-desk and restaurant. The room was comfortable with electric toilet. They were cleaning the room daily. The breakfast menu has variety of menu. Mostly in Chinese style. The bed and pillow was good quality for good sleeping after traveling. We were on 26 floor a bit noise from street on Sat and Sun but week day quiet. But no disturb noise from the other room. The room has full glass wall and you can see the sky line and vibrant of the city.

GGuest UserFirst things first when we entered the hotel we were welcomed by a young staff that doesn’t speak any English which made the check in harder than it should be, next we were asked to sign two forms of the hotel of some restrictions on illegal activity which was entirely in Chinese. Then there was the way to the elevators, which looks like the entrance to a train. Then there were the hallways which were dark and narrow, the room was small and had a motion detector for some reason… our shower head was old and sounded like a motorboat, the sealing of the shower was yellow, not all the switches worked.. Overall the room was pretty old and had no constant maintenance.

DDerickOverall, as stated by many other reviews, this hotel is the value-for-money champion. Personally, I would rate if a hotel were a real five star hotel or simply a 'self-proclaimed' five star hotel based on the service rendered. Le Meridien Chongqing excelled in this aspect. Every staff member I had interacted with was friendly and warm.
Check-in: Was swift and unlike many chinese hotels which are distrusting of their customers, they did not ask for a deposit. Saves the hassle.
Room: It was spacious, I had previously read some other reviews which complained about the red cupboard at the entrance was terrifying, but personally I liked the chinese style decor. The aircon was slightly noisy and not the most effective, but I liked sleeping in a slightly cooler room. The bed was comfortable, although one side seemed to be more 'slept in' than the other, possibly a sign of the hotel's age. I did also notice some stains and wear and tear in the room but it was nothing serious so I will let that slide. The greatest sign of wear and tear is the shower head, which although was Hansgrohe branded, felt like it was about to break when I tried to change the shower mode. Toiletries were from the Malin+Goetz brand, which I really liked! But of course, ThisWorks branded ones used by Marriott hotels are slightly better.
Facilities: There was an indoor pool and a well-equipped gym- with a smith machine, something that is not available in some 5 star hotels. Impressive!
Breakfast: This was the greatest let down in the stay experience. As I was going up the lift, I noticed a sign stating that breakfast was on promotion at 68RMB per person. That could not mean anything good. The breakfast experience was cut to the bone. There were almost no hot cooked food options, except from basics such as eggs, toast, cooked chongqing noodles(plain) and dumplings. There is simply no way that this acceptable as a 5 star hotel breakfast, something that seems to be mentioned by other reviewers.
Other hotel restaurants- Not too sure why I bothered to try out the other hotel restaurants after the disappointing breakfast but, the chinese restaurant served food that was tasty, but the so-called ala-carte buffet was not great. The food options seemed like leftovers from another hotel buffet or something, and I counted a total of 5 pieces of beef when I ordered the dish 'black pepper beef'. Service was good and seemed well-intentioned though, although they seemed puzzled that I was not ordering more-- The food was not good!
Location: Located in Nan'an, I had chosen this hotel as it offered better value for money than its 5 star competitors in JieFangBei or the Conrad. It was also located in front of a Rail Transit station although I only used it once since the trains were crowded and it was quicker to grab a DiDi around. I think the biggest plus regarding its location is the adjacent Wanda Plaza, which had everything from a Sephora, Uniqlo and many other shops. I regretted not visiting it first before hopping on the train.
To summarise, I would recommend a first time visitor to Chongqing to stay in this hotel, but would I visit it again? Perhaps not, as I would like to try out other options in Chongqing that are newer, and can provide better breakfasts.

AArkent NathanaelLocated near Hongyadong, the hotel is located in a very good spot. Though, at first I had trouble finding where the hotel lobby is. You actually have to go to the third floor for the hotel lobby! Many hotpots around. The service from receptionists are very good.
The room sound proofing is good. AirCon is cold. Bed is comfortable and the breakfast has a wide variety of food.

GGuest UserThis is a serviced apartment and I booked 2 x two bedroom River view apartments for my family of 6. We are from the UK and Hong Kong. The apartment was very spacious 128 sq metres with big living room, dining room, kitchen, separate laundry room, master bedroom + en-suite and walk-in closet and 2nd bedroom with bathroom. The view of the river was amazing. The property is right by the riverside in a relatively quiet area and next door is a police station. Chongqing is a very heavily populated city and it was somewhat of a relief to come back to a more peaceful area. It’s very safe and behind the property about 10 mins walk up the stair route is a shopping district. Note: this is a serviced apartment and there are families who live here on a longer term basis. I didn’t notice any big tour group style guests either. It’s not a huge famous branded hotel, so you need to carry the name card and address of the property to tell the taxi drivers.
The breakfast is a simple buffet style. More continental style with a few more hot add-ons like dumplings and eggs. You can also order takeout and the it will be delivered to your room via a robot!
The front desk staff are very helpful although they don’t really speak much English. However, they do try to use a translation app and we were able to converse. They would give us recommendations on tourist hotspots and detailed explanations on how to get there by public transportation. The staff may not be so international, but they are friendly, helpful and kind hearted if you give them some patience. I must commend Nancy from front desk for helping me to courier a jacket which I left in the wardrobe after check-out. It was delivered back to my home in Hong Kong the next day. Much appreciation for her texting me in English and having such a helpful manner.
I was able to use the washing machine/dryer for my laundry and found it thoughtful that they provided a sachet of washing powder. The appliances : fridge, microwave, washing machine, electric hobs are all good quality Siemens, Electrolux. Whilst the property is slightly dated, the decor of the rooms themselves are comfortable and clean and had the sense of quiet luxury. I would recommend that they put in a better quality of shower curtain to keep up with the rest of the decor. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels refreshed daily too. They don’t have cotton buds or cotton wool, toothbrush etc. in the bathroom trays like the do in normal hotels but the front desk do give you a set of toothbrush upon check-in. I believe this is something to do with an eco-friendly policy.
My family members used the pool facilities in the mornings and found it to be big enough for a good swim. The only thing they were not used to was lack of a life-guard manning the pool and also the sauna and steam room were a bit dated.
Overall, a very positive experience and good value for the price. It is like a home away from home and excellent for families who want to be together, yet also retreat to their own rooms.

RRebecca SihuiLoft style hotel room was spacious and homely. However, i can hear people above me walking up and down their stairs. Also you can smell smoke through the aircon when guests smokes in the room unfortunately, but this is common in China.
Location is in prime area and lots of things to do/eat around the hotel. The hotel is link to a mall which you can just take the lift down to shop in the market. It is also within walk distance to multiple tourist attractions.
Room view is instagram worthy. City view was amazing at night, abit of the river view.
Will stay there again.
