Don’t let the age of this historic gem put you off. A bit quirky, but clean and comfy. Breakfast was warm and hearty. Customer care was amazing. Close to the hop-on hop-off trolly line.

Nice room with comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Hostess was very nice and offered great selection of places to eat dinner. She gave good directions for sightseeing. Would stay again.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Excellent location, super clean and spacious room, air conditioning great for a hot evening, very quiet location yet extremely central to town and Hagley Park. We heard none of the other guests so walls clearly well insulated in such a beautiful historical property. Very friendly staff who showed pride in their business-the included full breakfast was a lovely homely touch for their guests and a great way to start the day. George cooks a fantastic breakfast-eggs cooked to perfection! Will return for future business & private stays in Christchurch.

Room and decor was shabby (missing lightshade, faded furniture etc). Lots of dust built up in extractor fan in bathroom. But good location, very easily walkable to CBD.

Located in a converted Victorian villa. Downstairs rooms are more convenient and comfortable than upstairs. Easy walk to shops, gardens and other attractions. Friendly staff.

Easy check in. We arrived very late after midnight but we could get in easily. Room was comfy, small but adequate. Bathroom clean. Breakfast is not a priority for me but I could see that it was decent and a hot brekky could be provided. Location was central. Staff friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was very convenient.Kimberly was kind and accommodating. Truly excellent customer service. I highly recommend. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
