Not sure why you would plop down a nice new hotel and put in air conditioners that sound like planes taking off. And it wasn’t just one room - it was both rooms of the suite, so I’m guessing that it was the same throughout the hotel. I was only able to sleep by wearing earplugs every night. It’s nice that the bedroom has a ceiling fan but the remote control didn’t work and when we called the desk to ask about it they said that it was impossible to have the light off and fan on at the same time. It’s either both on or both off. I suspect the person at the desk didn’t actually know what she was talking about but I never followed up. Rooms were certainly big enough, though not enormous. Bathrooms were functional. Breakfast was good, with some different options every morning. Pool looked very basic, workout room was ok but the floor was sticky and the laundry room did the job. As far as location goes that depends upon what you’re looking for. I wanted a hotel between downtown and the tennis center and that’s what I got. I wouldn’t typically want a hotel like this that is sitting in the middle of a mall, surrounded by chain restaurants, with nowhere interesting to walk, but many people might like this. I really only care about one thing in a hotel and that’s that it’s quiet enough to sleep and because of the air conditioning this hotel failed. I’d probably give it 2.5 stars if that were an option.

Cincinnati
At first appearance driving up was nice and inviting with a nice covered front porch with tables and chairs. Then you notice on both ends the groups of people smoking off it next to the no smoking signs. We pull up into the space reserved for “gold and platinum members”, which we are platinum members, which has been a nice perk a many Choice Hotels. As we get out to unload, we discover that, it’s located in a weird handicap marked space. It’s only marked on the ground, not by a sign. The only sign is the Choice sign. (see photo) How confusing is this? So, we finish loading and decide to move the car just to make sure we do not get towed. As we were walking up, we notice the floors above, the vending room, the lights on both the 2nd and 3rd floors, as just flickering and strobing and the rooms look like they are in disrepair. While walking by the porch and the non-smoking sign where all of the smokers were smoking, we notice that the ground all around is just littered with cigarette butts and reeked of smoke. It was disgusting and just showed a complete lack of disregard of upkeep of the grounds and building. (see photo) Our check-in was friendly and helpful. However, we didn’t receive our free “gift” like we were supposed to and when we asked about the “hot breakfast” that was advertised on the sign outside, we were told that there wasn’t a hot breakfast anymore that they just haven’t removed the sign. They would provide coffee and to-go bags in the morning. The shower water pressure was good but the hot and cold were reserved. The large bathroom counter was nice to have for a change. The elevator was very slow and in need of some TLC such as some paint and upkeep. The paint and walls around the elevator are beat up. Most employees were not wearing masks. At breakfast there were no to go bags available and there was no coffee. About 8:30 there was some lukewarm coffee and no one around to tend to it. When we were checking out, we mentioned it and they said that would make another pot, but we were leaving so that was pointless and said nothing about the bags. Overall, this was a clean, comfortable room to stay in. We would stay here again if in the area. I would hope that management would clean up the area and make things more presentable.

21C Museum Hotel Cincinnati

I loved everything about this hotel. Okay...not everything -- the parking is annoying. Valet only. But other than that.... Love. Love. Love. They could not have done anything better. We checked in early and I asked at the front desk if the room had a bathtub. It didn't, so he changed it. What a gorgeous room! It was like mid century meets 2023 in all the right ways. A lot of thought went into the interior design here, and I can tell. We had a really comfortable sofa in our room and the bed was super comfortable. I really enjoyed wandering the museum. I didn't expect there to be a cool exhibit right when we got off the elevator on our floor too. If I had more time, I would wander every floor. The staff were fantastic. The restaurant was fantastic. The coffee was a nespresso. That was a little odd.
Fairfield Inn & Suites Cincinnati North/Sharonville

My husband and I stayed at the Fairfield on our way home from Florida. The hotel is being renovated now. The lobby and room that's used for the complementary breakfast are very nice and modern. The breakfast itself was very good - lots of choices and everything was fresh. The room we had was small but very comfortable. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated and was very nice. The furniture in the room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The bed was VERY comfortable. We would definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

In the city centre, parking is charged. It can be seen that the hotel has been positioned high-end in the past, but as time goes by, the facilities are old and no longer the style of the year. The service is OK, there are a lot of people downstairs.
Comfort Suites Cincinnati North

First of all, I wasn't even going to write this review. BUT... I got the email from Comfort Suites/Choice Hotels asking for feedback.... and when I kept trying to leave this review, it would not let me! Maybe an algroithm prevents me from leaving the bad review. So... here is what I tried to leave as my review on their feedback form: ***We have stayed in several hotel this summer across the Midwest and mid Atlantic states. And... this one was the worst. But this was the location we needed. The good: Coffee! 1. Very good coffee available 24 hours in the lobby. 2. The mattress was comfortable. The Bad: Everything Else. :-( A. Workers moving a safe using a luggage cart when we arrived. (I don’t know if we used the same luggage cart, but the cart we used had a flat tire and did not roll. B. Had to sign up for a 40 minute time slot to swim, (covid) but when we arrived, they were only two people there... and the door knob to the pool area is broken and when we left the pool area we saw people from the neighborhood going in the back door to the pool area I guess to swim?? They had suits on and towels. Also, jacuzzi (hot tub) was closed? Holiday Inn Express in Ironton hot tub was open in July.) C. Very dirty room. I bumped the plastic cover on the air-conditioning and it fell right off and the inside was caked with mold. Gross! Dirt/dust on floor. D. The air-conditioning unit fan kept shutting off. We like constant fan noise all night for background white noise. E. No fruit at breakfast. Could have had cereal and fruit and milk. But the only thing was muffins. (Muffins are a fancy word for cake.) Our family got three muffins and went back to get another one and a huge group of kids came to the lobby and took all of the muffins. They were loud kids and sort of rude. other hotels we have been to the Summer had served grab bags of meals to go, or cereal and fruit, and a Holiday Inn express we stayed at even had a hot breakfast made to order from the lady working. So..... Mostly, this place needs Deep cleaned. If we have to go back for business, I’m going to try the Hampton Inn across the street. This was not an acceptable stay. Sorry
