Caribbean Motel

Only a one night stay but we loved Coffs Harbour as a place to visit. Well situated this motel is near to restaurants and short walk to the harbour and beaches. It is on a busy road so be aware there will be traffic noise. Small plunge pool. We did have a few suggestions for the new manager's about a couple of things we found not so great and they were very gracious to hear and remedy perhaps for the future. The one bedroom apartment was refurbed inside and equipped with all you would need in the kitchenette.

Great hotel, friendly staff that are really helpful. Rooms nice, clean and refurbished. The balcony rooms are more spacious. If you book direct you will get a better rate. Great value for money. Located in a great position opposite the Pier Hotel so you can park up and walk.

Very friendly service..arrived late..spotless room, great bed, top shower and quiet night. Across the road to restaurants , pub, cafes & bakery. Scored the newly renovated rooms. Top value..will stay again!!

The motel is in a great location for staying near Jetty Theatre in particular. We liked our room with great views on top floor. One window has the motel sign outside and another is overlooked by the adjoining apartment block into the kitchen. The curtains on these windows need to be better to block light and provide privacy. Parking is tight but workable. There are plenty of food options in a short walking distance including harbour dining options. It is a good choice even for a family.

The hotel is very clean, friendly staff. Booked at short notice and actually spoke to a person - which was great and they were very helpful with local information. Plenty of tea and coffee provided (could do with slightly bigger mugs) but I’m not complaining. The fridge was handy as we brought some fresh milk. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The balcony is awesome and enjoyed the ocean breeze. Would recommend and would absolutely stay here again. Excellent - 5 stars.

Stayed here for one night for work. The room was up some stairs. It was modern and clean . Comfortable bed. Left the car there and walked to the marina and dinner. Happy with the room and quietness. It’s not flash but it’s nice. I would stay here again.

Nice no frills motel right in the jetty area with great food choices within a five minute walk. Our room was clean, updated, quiet and staff was friendly. We had stayed there before and would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Caribbean Motel and would consider going back if we were in the area again. I noticed some of the previous responses from the owner when visitors have not provided a full 5 star review - we booked a short holiday at short notice and sat down one weekend and booked 6 places to stay over a period of 2 hours. We don't have time or feel the need to call to discuss the room type with each hotel. Pros - good location with numerous restaurants just over the other side of the road. It is also within walking distance of the wharf / Mutton Bird Island etc (around 6 mins to the start of the wharf area), very clean, large shower and bathroom area. Netflix. The room we chose could see the ocean. Our room had a fresh smell to it and likely recently painted. Cons - just something to be aware of is that there is no lift and if you are in an upstairs room you will need to lift you luggage up the stairs yourself. May not be a problem for some but we left our suitcase in the car and took bits and pieces upstairs as we aren't able to lift the case. Note - we were offered a lift upstairs with our suitcase by a lady but we declined. The room has a microwave, coffee cups etc but no plates or knives / forks etc. How does one eat what was heated in the microwave…. Parking is challenging. Perhaps it was the time of the year or day of the week but we found if you go out anywhere after dark you are most likely to find yourself parked up the street and around the corner. Not great when you luggage is in the boot because you can't get it up the stairs…. All places guests stay are different - my comments are something to be noted not read as criticisms.
