For this price the hotel is really good! The staff is really nice and helpful. The breakfast is nice. This place is at the bus station and 15 min walk to the Plaza de Armas. Rooms are simple and might be cold, but you can ask for a portable heater. I booked this place twice during my trip.

Illa's inn offered an excellent hospitality and service. The location is pretty strategic as it's within 3 mins walking distance and nearby the Wanchaq station, so you don't need to grab a taxi when you want to take a tour to Machu Picchu early in the morning or late in the evening. The receptionist named Alex was very informative and helpful. For its price, I think the bedroom was decent. It has private bathroom, bed, TV, 2 bedside tables and a desk. The breakfast was good but not that variative. It had fried eggs, ham, bread, granola, juice, yoghurt and milk. But one thing to note is the bedroom doesn't have heater. So when the room temperature is very cold in the midnight, it can be hard to sleep.

Wonderful experience! Everyone was so nice, bed was comfortable, great service, good free breakfast, and very close to the Wanchaq bus station to Machu Picchu (2 min walk). The front desk staff helped us every step of the way, with every request we had.

We only stayed here for one night on a stop to Machu Picchu and what a great experience we had! We would definitely stay here again in the future, on short or long stays. The staff is very friendly, the room is spacious and bed super comfortable.

Excellent attention by staff. Alex was very generous. Will highly recommend. Always were supporting our needs . Exceeded expectation!!! The breakfast was very good / fresh fruits . Very close walking distance 5 minutes from the Wanchaq Station

We spent 8 nights here in May. This was an incredible find! We had a huge room (I think the room type was the family room)with a view of the garden area. Like most hotels in South America there is no heat, but there were extra blankets available and they had heaters available upon request. The bed was soft and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy ( just like we like them :) )Breakfast was amazing every day they had something warm aside from the normal buffet items. One day it was tamales…they were so good. We never left breakfast wanting something more. It was a wonderful start everyday. One day we had an early tour and they provided us with a to go breakfast that was very appreciated! The hotel decorations were also amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The building is safe and secure. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely recommend this place!!

Front desk people are so friendly and helpful. Room is clean and quiet, the bed is comfortable. Price was so affordable. I had to catch a very early bus and the front desk clerk offered packing breakfast for me. I declined as that would cause too much work on him. But it was very kind for him offering that. Can’t complain anything about this place.
