Sun City

I felt so comfortable and welcomed here. It is an amazing family running this place and they make you feel like you are family. I came solo and I felt safe and at peace. Great location, didn’t want to leave. Beaches are down the street, easy busy into Chania. Truly an amazing experience. Would come stay again in a heart beat.

Garden pool area to sit you’ve short walk to beach plenty of good eatery places for a night out .rooms has small cooking area if you want Family run place nothing to much trouble local bus passes gate for trip into Chania itself character filled place Super hotel with mountains sea town all within a short distance proper little oasis when walking through the gate

Booked a last minute break here for a week after reading some lovely reviews. We chatted to lots of people at the pool bar, many of whom have visited over many years. The other guests were a lovely mix of Germans, Norwegians, Danish, Finnish and British. I had emailed before we travelled to ask for a ground floor room as I have difficulty with lots of stairs and Gina very kindly gave us room 21 at the back which overlooked a field of olive and fruit trees. The room was well equipped and had really comfortable beds. The whole family are really friendly and welcoming and look after everyone well. It was our first time to Sun City and Agii Apostoloi, although we've been to Crete many times. I'm sure we'll be back.

Exceptional stay! Couldn't be happier with my stay and holiday. The staff and the whole family were incredibly friendly and it is in the best location with 2 massive supermarkets right next door, restaurants across the road and nearby, 3 beautiful beaches within 10-15min walk, a super easy and cheap bus route to central Chania( nr21/ 10mins) and all the tourist hot spots, nightlife right outside to the supermarket. Rooms were cleaned every day, aircon with a beautiful view of either backyard ( evening sun) or Pool area (morning sun), great cooking facilities and amenities in the room and whatever we needed they provided, always with a lovely smile. They have a lift for people who struggle with steps, a fully stocked bar, excellent breakfast and the loveliest bar staff. The pool is very clean and deep and got a cute separate area for kids, and has plenty of sun loungers. It is 30min from the airport in a taxi and it's cheap but the bus is even cheaper. The 3 beaches nearby are ( roughly) a 10-15min walk. super easy to get there straight road. All 3 have everything on the beach, changing rooms, showers, beach cafes and sun lungers and one has wheelchair access to the beach and the water. 2 have sand in the water, 1 a little bit stone and sand One has a surf school and paddle board rental. I travel a lot and am used to most hotels, hostels and homestays so I highly recommend this stay to everyone, young, old, families and couples its an Absolute GEM!

We just had the loveliest stay in this cozy Cretan style hotel. The super nice Cretan family who runs the place made us feel welcome and part of the family. It truly felt like a home away from home. Family apartment was spacious and functional with children. The perfect size pool was really liked by our kids and you could just watch them from the balcony and drink morning coffee. There are well-stocked grocery stores and several good restaurants next door, as well as a nice beach a short walk away. Rental car could be conveniently parked in the spaces in front of the hotel. After a long day it was nice to relax and have a drink at the hotel bar. Overall hotel had a positive relaxing atmosphere. And because of all the hospitality we received, staying here made our holiday more special.

This was one of the few places with available rooms at a short notice and we took a chance - and what a chance! This lovely, family-run hotel is absolutely marvelous and I can't wait to go back! The staff is wonderful and hospitable, the rooms are a bit quirky - just like I want them and the hotel is just like the ones I stayed at when I was little. I want everyone to go here, but please don't because then there won't be room for me :)
