Excellent location, airport is roughly five minutes drive. The hotel needs refurbishment and deep vacuuming/cleaning. Food is good (room service).

Location is good... very near the airport and almost on the main road. Rooms are very outdated and really needs updating. Blankets Linen and towels bed sheets were really old with marks all over it may be clean but stained and is vey worn. Facilities and amenities can be improved by replacing it. used their Airport Shuttle Service for Tk 500 each way..

Terrible Experience at Richmond Hotel & Suites – Avoid at All Costs! First Visit (Booked via ******* from Singapore): I booked a room online through *******, but upon late check-in, the front desk staff casually informed me, "Your room has issues—the AC isn’t working. We’ll transfer you to another hotel." Exhausted after a long journey, I was forced to move to a nearby low-rated hotel at night! Second Visit (3 Years Later, Direct Booking via WhatsApp): This time, I booked directly through WhatsApp, where they quoted *3,000 BDT*. But at check-in, they suddenly demanded *3,500 BDT*—no explanation! The room was *disgusting*: - The AC roared like an ancient machine all night but barely cooled the room. - Dust covered every surface and the floor was filthy unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one charging premium rates. - Staying even a few hours felt like torture. Final Verdict: - Unprofessional staff (lied about pricing and room conditions). - False advertising (online vs. actual experience). - Dirty, poorly maintained rooms (not worth half the price). My experience at the hotel did not quite meet my expectations based on the website's portrayal. The condition of the room was disappointing; it appeared to be in need of more thorough cleaning, with noticeable dampness and cleanliness issues in both the toilet and bathroom. Additionally, I found a lack of essential amenities, such as toilet paper, and the bath was not up to standard. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable despite its dated appearance, which allowed me to get a good night's sleep. The restaurant that was showcased on the website seemed much more inviting in the pictures, whereas in reality, it was quite small, with only a few tables and chairs, which did not create a welcoming atmosphere. However, I would like to commend the staff member who was serving in the restaurant; he was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Overall, my experience was not as favorable as I had hoped. I inquired about the discrepancy between the images on the website and the actual conditions, to which I was informed that "work is in progress," a response that gave me pause. I may reconsider staying at this hotel again in the future.

Most important thing is it returns value of money. Location is very good close to the Airport. Services are good. But management should take initiative to renove the decorations. All staffs became too old already.

Noisy Traffic near hotel
This used to be my preferred place to stay, have stayed here many tikes before when travelling from Dhaka airport.
However with the new flyover in front of the hotel there is nonstop noise in the rooms and it's very difficult to sleep with the traffic noise. Will be looking to stay somewhere quieter in future.
