There was a door between two rooms it basically feels like you are sharing your room with others. You can hear people’s voices/conversations. Room smells like dust. Overall ok, good location and basic breakfast included to price. You can see shortcut close to hotel from royal mile/ black watch

Location is great everything is walking distance , staffs are helpful but room is very small, breakfast is very basic (not recommended as it’s expensive and not much option available)

It’s very near royal mile but to get to the hotel with luggage from Edinburgh Waverley station, it can be quite tiring! For a no stairs & few cobble stones route, walk up cockburn street (it’s an uphill slope!), then walk down Blair street, followed by cowgate street. It’s the least painful walk! 😂
We really loved our room. Only issue was that the water drainage was very slow.
Nearby food recommendations: Jimmy’s Express (Chinese food).

Hotel is located in the mid point between Edinburgh and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Edinburgh castle can be reached within 15 - 20 minutes walking distance.
Room is not too big but comfortable enough and breakfast is decent, although not much change.
There are several at several restaurants located in South Bridge Road, including a Chinese and a Japanese restaurant and a few other Asia restaurants.
The Waverley train station is about 15 minutes walking distance away.
All-in-all, a good value booking.
For visitors looking for hotels nearer to the Royal Mile area, may want to try the Radisson or Ibis hotels.

I think the hotel location is very good, almost touching the royal mile with just few meters away. This hotel is suitable for solo or business travelers as this is an express hotel. The room we got was very small in size 19m2 not suitable for family with a kid. There was no refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was very ordinary with very few options so, I will not suggest to take breakfast at this hotel, in fact people can scout on royal mile for a decent restaurant.
Overall, 1 or 2 days should be ok without much hassle but if you are planning to spend some more time then I will not suggest for this hotel. Staff was always helpful and they do the best to guide you for things.

They got the basics spot on: nice clean room, comfy bed, strong wifi, hot water on demand, good no-frill breakfast with Muslim friendly vege sausage on demand. Location was fantastic on Royal Mile, but be wary on trying to walk there from Waverley Train Station because the staircase and street leading to the hotel is a steep climb. Good value for money, 10/10.
