A little far from city centre but the place is near to restaurants and parks. The room was not ready at check in time so we were allowed to check out later to compensate for the short wait. The room was quite old and the sink and bath area quite mouldy. However, the staff was friendly and helpful.

The room is good but the staff replied very late to my phone call, there's said the check-in time is 2pm but there was nobody when I arrived at 2pm, I waited outside the door until 2.30pm after someone came.

The staff were friendly and hotel location was fairly good. There are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. It is about a 15-20 minutes walk to center and many bus stops available.

Very convenient location for the festival. A lovely old house with lots of space. I arrived an hour early and it was no problem. Very kind manager.

If you are looking for a room in Edinburgh with no frills but affordable this hotel ticks the boxes . It’s not much dearer than a dormitory but far more private with a room and shower . It’s also a fifteen minute walk to the centre and ten minutes to holy rood park and palace and opposite a pub and restaurant . It was very peaceful there and ideal for a budget friendly city visit

A little expensive for such a small in a cellar, but clean and tidy though. And very hospitable.

Owner was really friendly and the facilities were nice and clean. Complementary tea and coffee. About 30 mins walk from the city center so not the perfect location, but close enough that it's not a problem.

When you arrive on the first day, you need to call the person in charge. The B&B is not always occupied. The bathroom needs to be shared and the water pressure is very weak. The heating will suddenly disappear at night, but the price is affordable, there are many clothes racks, and there is free drinking water.

The hygiene is so bad that you can't imagine that the sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases have not been changed. There are yellow stains on the bed. It is really disgusting and the sheets are all black and pilling. Why does Ctrip cooperate with such a store and must ban it? I arrived at around 10pm. When I arrived, I rang the doorbell and no one answered. According to the sign on the door, no one opened the door. I called and was told that someone would come and open the door in 5 minutes. I waited for nearly 20 minutes and a boss who looked like he was Mexican came. I took the key and put it in the room. I opened the two beds and looked at it. I almost felt sick. I immediately called the boss again after a few rings and then hung up. I responded to his request according to the text message that told me to open the door immediately. There was no reply when changing the bedding. It was almost 11pm local time. I couldn't help it. I contacted Ctrip. I wanted to give up my stay that night. I left without staying. During this period, I also contacted the store owner. The reply given by the owner was that they could not change the bedding. It was really weird. I have videos and photos to prove it. Let’s see for yourself how you can live in such a sanitary environment. Generally, I don’t like to comment on the fact that the first night of my trip to Edinburgh was so disgusting.

It is believed that this small hotel has been opened for a short time, and it was assigned to the basement. The rooms are as small as subdivided rooms, the toilets and showers are extremely small, the toilet water is not properly filled, and other facilities are average. I stayed for 2 days and no staff cleaned the room. Overall, it is not as good as the level of hospitality to tourists.

This house is terrible, the basement, the bathroom and the toilet are all far away, and I can't tell which room it is. It's like a dungeon. There is no receptionist, and no one will be found when the time comes. After checking in, I felt that it was possible to suffocate while sleeping, so I decided to admit it, booked another hotel online, and walked 35 minutes to another eden. I strongly recommend that Ctrip block this cherry blossom or something. It gave a nice name and it turned out to be the same as a black shop. Avoid being fooled again.
