This place was a port in a literal storm during Storm Eowyn, with Carol and Chris giving a warm welcome in their role as caretakers to lost eedjits with cancelled flights. Edinburgh more or less looked like it must have during the covid-era; virtually nothing was open and footfall was almost zero. I still felt comforted to have such chatty hosts and Carol clearly laid out all the pointers about the place and accomodated my fussiness about which room I was going to stay in, whilst regaling me of her own storm story - we all had one by this time! I was lucky to get a place to stay after Edinburgh airport kicked us all out - this is a very reasonably priced hotel as near to Waverley as you need with St James quarter shopping centre nearby and (in normal times) pubs within 50m walking distance! Incidentally I only deduct one star because there was nothing to do in town so there was nothing for it but to watch TV; it was a rather small screen and the signal kept dropping out so I used my laptop. Not a biggie and no reflection on the staff or service in general. Cheers to Carol and Chris once again.

Stayed here in June on are trip around the uk from th e United States lovely place very clean and tidy perfect for the shops and bars as right on your door step along with the train station staff very friendly on check in would definitely recommend

Wendy, la chica recepcionista, tan solo al llegar, nos ha atendido de una manera maravillosa con una actitud exquisita. El hotel es un buen sitio, acogedor a la par que activo. Somos españoles, vengo con mis padres y ellos no entienden mucho de inglés y aún así han quedado satisfecho, yo por suerte si se conversar y entender en condiciones.
