Pretty basic no frills hotel but quiet and clean with a good comfortable bed and well equipped shower room. Rooms are a good size. Easy to find. Good parking. Polite and helpful staff.

It was later discovered that this restaurant was an award-winning restaurant, using local produce and herbs and vegetables grown in the hotel's back garden. The Running Horse is a very good personable country pub with rooms which are very well appointed with comfortable beds. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we had a business lunch in their semi private room which was simple but excellent. The only reason I marked them down a little was because of several carpet stains that I do feel should be removed - or if not removable then they should put in a new carpet as they were large and off putting. Highly recommended!
