The location is good for skiing. The food was tasty both for breakfast and for dinner at the restaurant. There are also other places to eat in the area. We had a really nice stay. The downside was cleanliness. We found several pieces of hair from the last visitor in the bathtub. I really hope they step up on cleanliness because apart from this we would like to return.

Amazing food. Better than some 5 star hotels around the world. Wonderful location, easy to get to. Great value for what it was. Friendly staff. Hard to find fault especially at the price point. Great alternative to going to the alps. The spa wasn’t open which was to only let down

good buffet, good access to ski resort, nice chalet we stayed in. But a major improvement to the hotel would be a PLAYSTATION 5 (with FC24) in the games room, this would enhance entertainment and fun.

Very nice staff in the hotel.. area is well reachable .. rooms are in good condition and bright. Good wifi qualityBad quality of the buffet at the breakfast.. dishes too dry and overcooked.. not recommendable..

Great location, lots of potential but needs updating. Friendly staff, easy check in. Pur room was for a family, was tiny, it was dated. The bed looked very 1980s, our view was awesome. Bathroom sink too small to use. Beds were comfy. Walls were without pictures or anything. Fondu was on the mention at night and the smell was dominating. Breakfast was good. Suggestions: update rooms, add a bar in the lobby for guests, change put ventilation. Smelled old.

When travelling with the family by road between Oslo and Trondheim I always include one hotel night somewhere on the road. The hotels near E6 are generally quite pricey, and they were especially so the summer 2021. Therefore I decided to look for hotels slightly off the main road, and then Skeikampen popped up in Google. The price was less than half of Peer Gynt Hotel at Vinstra, and also considerably less than Toftemo Turiststasjon, both hotels we have stayed in at previous occasions. For this we had to drive about 20 minutes up on the mountain side. What can I say about the hotel? The beds were some of the best hotel beds I have slept in. In particular, this is one of very few hotels that have good firm pillows (only Scandic Nidelven with their pillow menu can be compared). The standard of service from the staff was nothing sort of exceptional. The only downside I can think of is that much of what we saved on the booking, the hotel took back in restaurant. But well, it was a dinner buffet where deer steak was among the options, so I can live with that. Needless to say, at this location, the hotel is quiet.

We stayed here for a view days at the beginning of August. We had an apartment for four as well as the breakfast in the hotel. The apartment was really clean. The kitchen seems new, we even had a big refrigerator/freezer as well as a little dishwasher (a gamechanger for the kids ☺️). The beds were good and there was enough space for the kids. The breakfast was really good and we liked the fresh fruits. The best for us was the surrounding. Even if we were hiking, there are many more to experience. At least we loved the sheep.
We highly recommend to staying here. Next year, Thon Hotel Skeikampen is on our list again ☺️
