Firstly, we booked a street side room, but I saw the room with a balcony over the river and it is well-worth the upgrade!! Highly recommend splurging for the river view. The owner/manager was great, spoke English, and was very helpful. He met us where the taxi dropped us and assisted with carrying our luggage. He did the same when we left, which was much appreciated. If you book pretty much any of the hotels along the river, you will need to walk a bit and it might be a bit difficult. One thing to be mindful of is that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the vicinity. That’s just part of the experience being along the river. The hotel provides a plug in device for mosquitoes and once you turn on the a/c, the mosquitoes tend to go away. Still, you may want to bring some bug spray. There were a couple other types of bugs around, but overall not too unpleasant. Again, nothing much any of the river-side inns can do about it. We stayed for just one night so even though the room is small, we managed ok. Overall, we highly recommend this inn, but go for the riverside view with balcony. It’s beautiful and you will be able to take very cute photos there.

My family had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel is new modern and very comfortable. The staff provided warmfull service. One of the best things is the location where to walk around riverside conveniently.

This was our second visit. The host was absolutely perfect, helping us get everything perfectly organized. The only thing was, on our first day, we forgot to ask the host for dinner recommendations, so we just picked a Hunan restaurant that seemed busy. Big mistake! Everyone, steer clear! A dish that would cost 38 elsewhere was 138 there. We thought it would be delicious because it was so crowded, but even the chicken tasted off. I suspect all those people were paid shills. The next day, the 'Whole-Ox Feast' recommended by the host is truly worth recommending – it's incredibly good value for money. Best of all, we got 8 dishes for less than 200 yuan, and every single one was generously portioned and delicious. Even the locals eat there! So, if you're coming to visit, stay with this host and have them recommend the 'Whole-Ox Feast'. Make sure to ask them to book it for you in advance, or you might not get a table. I genuinely recommend it.
