Gardena Hotels with Gym

Stayed here before and it seems to have gotten a bit rougher around the edges. Not really up to date. Could do with a deep clean and new paint. I arrived late at night and there was no more parking available in the garage. So I had to exit the garage and the security guard instructed me to park in front of the restaurant, which is not all that secure. Check-in was smooth and friendly. Roon itself was OK. Everything was there, just not very new. TV channels were limited and WiFI spotty (but did eventually work). If assigned a room at the back, don't expect any views, just that of the freeway off and on ramps.

I can’t believe this price can get this great hotel! The room is pretty big! I guess can put 2-3 king size beds. Clean, new, bright as the booking page showing. There are free drink machines offering coffees & beverages, staffs are friendly. The only shortage is the location, kind of far to the main Hollywood etc, but if you have a car that won’t have a problem

Im ersten Moment etwas heruntergekommen, die Zimmer waren jedenfalls ok. Für Kofferreisende : alle scheinbar vermietbaren Zimmer liegen in der 1. Etage, also Kofferschleppen ist angesagt. Die Kaution (USD 50) sollte in Bar hinterlegt werden, da nicht klar ist, wie lange es dauert bis der Betrag von der Kreditkarte gelöscht wird. Reinigung: Zimmer ok, Treppenhaus wurde schon lange nicht mehr gereinigt. Das mehrfach angepriesene Frühstück soll in der Durchgangslobby stattfinden, aber beinhaltet gerademal einen Kaffee.

The hotel location is very good and easy to find. The service staff is young and thoughtful. In the nearby restaurants, the supermarket is very convenient, and the shopping center is a five-speed taxi ride. There is breakfast, although it is bread, milk, fruit, etc., but you don't have to worry about it early in the morning.

Let me start off by saying the bed was the only thing that I found up to standard. The bathroom counter is dirty also with the shower head/shower tiles. Online there is a list of amenities at this location and half of them are not here. There is no breakfast in the morning, the pool is closed, there is no restaurant, tennis court, golf course, shops, or coffee shop. On top of that, the internet absolutely sucks. I’ve called the front desk 3 times within 15 minutes of being here with several issues. Oh and the TV only has one channel!

Hotel room 301 had a nice shower with great water pressure, handrails, seatstool, hand-held shower head, and generally big bathroom. Microwave and fridge in room. Overall nice and cozy as expected from a motel 6!! Plus many breakfast items for purchase in lobby e.g. muffins, ice cream, burritos, etc.

I have been using this hotel for almost 30 years, but since COVID-19, the service at the front desk has become very poor. Even now that COVID-19 has subsided, the front desk is open from 7am to 5pm. Today, they were gone before 5pm. They used to provide a Japanese breakfast, but now it is just two bland slices of toast and a banana + instant coffee, which is made at the front desk. You receive it and eat it in your room or in the lobby. The coin laundry is open until 11pm, but when I went there just now, it was locked around 9pm. I called the manager and he said it will be locked at 5pm. Huh? Then why does it say it can be used until 11pm? In the end, it can only be used from 7am, which means I won't be able to make it in time for my departure tomorrow. The manager is a terrible person who only thinks about her own convenience rather than the guests (a Korean woman who is fluent in Japanese but can no longer expect Japanese-style hospitality). Although it says that housekeeping is open until 3pm, it closes after 2pm. The only time the front desk is as nice as it used to be is when the Japanese woman is there. The good thing about this place is the beautiful garden and the perfect housekeeping. They clean thoroughly and change the sheets every day.
